Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:80)

And they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days:" Say: "Have ye taken a promise from Allah, for He never breaks His promise? or is it that ye say of Allah what ye do not know?"
(2:214)

أَمْ  حَسِبْتُمْ  أَن  تَدْخُلُوا۟  ٱلْجَنَّةَ  وَلَمَّا  يَأْتِكُم  مَّثَلُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  خَلَوْا۟  مِن  قَبْلِكُم  مَّسَّتْهُمُ  ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ  وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ  وَزُلْزِلُوا۟  حَتَّىٰ  يَقُولَ  ٱلرَّسُولُ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  مَعَهُۥ  مَتَىٰ  نَصْرُ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَلَآ  إِنَّ  نَصْرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  قَرِيبٌ am ḥasibtum an tadkhulū l‑jannata wa‑lammā yatikum mathalu lladhīna khalaw min qablikum massathumu l‑baʾsāʾu wa‑l‑ḍarrāʾu wazulzilū ḥattā yaqūla l‑rasūlu wa‑lladhīna āmanū maʿahu mata naṣru allāhi āla inna naṣra allāhi qarībun
Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: "When (will come) the help of Allah?" Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!
(2:236)

لَّا  جُنَاحَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  إِن  طَلَّقْتُمُ  ٱلنِّسَآءَ  مَا  لَمْ  تَمَسُّوهُنَّ  أَوْ  تَفْرِضُوا۟  لَهُنَّ  فَرِيضَةً  وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ  عَلَى  ٱلْمُوسِعِ  قَدَرُهُۥ  وَعَلَى  ٱلْمُقْتِرِ  قَدَرُهُۥ  مَتَٰعًۢا  بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ  حَقًّا  عَلَى  ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ junāḥa ʿalaykum in ṭallaqtumu l‑nisāʾa lam tamassūhunna aw tafriḍū la‑hunna farīḍatan wamattiʿūhunna ʿalā l‑mūsiʿi qadaruhu wa‑ʿala l‑muqtiri qadaruhu matāʿan bil‑maʿrūfi ḥaqqan ʿalā l‑muḥsinīna
There is no blame on you if ye divorce women before consummation or the fixation of their dower; but bestow on them (A suitable gift), the wealthy according to his means, and the poor according to his means;- A gift of a reasonable amount is due from those who wish to do the right thing.
(2:237)

وَإِن  طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  تَمَسُّوهُنَّ  وَقَدْ  فَرَضْتُمْ  لَهُنَّ  فَرِيضَةً  فَنِصْفُ  مَا  فَرَضْتُمْ  إِلَّآ  أَن  يَعْفُونَ  أَوْ  يَعْفُوَا۟  ٱلَّذِى  بِيَدِهِۦ  عُقْدَةُ  ٱلنِّكَاحِ  وَأَن  تَعْفُوٓا۟  أَقْرَبُ  لِلتَّقْوَىٰ  وَلَا  تَنسَوُا۟  ٱلْفَضْلَ  بَيْنَكُمْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  بَصِيرٌ wa‑in ṭallaqtumūhunna min qabli an tamassūhunna wa‑qad faraḍtum la‑hunna farīḍatan faniṣfu faraḍtum illā an yaʿfūna aw yaʿfuwā alladhī bi‑yadihi ʿuqdatu l‑nikāḥi wa‑an taʿfū aqrabu lil‑taqwā wa‑lā tansawu l‑faḍla baynakum inna allāha bi‑mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun
And if ye divorce them before consummation, but after the fixation of a dower for them, then the half of the dower (Is due to them), unless they remit it or (the man's half) is remitted by him in whose hands is the marriage tie; and the remission (of the man's half) is the nearest to righteousness. And do not forget Liberality between yourselves. For Allah sees well all that ye do.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:24)

This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion.
(3:47)

She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, 'Be,' and it is!
(3:120)

إِن  تَمْسَسْكُمْ  حَسَنَةٌ  تَسُؤْهُمْ  وَإِن  تُصِبْكُمْ  سَيِّئَةٌ  يَفْرَحُوا۟  بِهَا  وَإِن  تَصْبِرُوا۟  وَتَتَّقُوا۟  لَا  يَضُرُّكُمْ  كَيْدُهُمْ  شَيْـًٔا  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  بِمَا  يَعْمَلُونَ  مُحِيطٌ in tamsaskum ḥasanatun tasuʾhum wa‑in tuṣibkum sayyiʾatun yafraḥū bihā wa‑in taṣbirū wa‑tattaqū yaḍurrukum kayduhum shayʾan inna allāha bi‑mā yaʿmalūna muḥīṭun
If aught that is good befalls you, it grieves them; but if some misfortune overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if ye are constant and do right, not the least harm will their cunning do to you; for Allah Compasseth round about all that they do.
(3:140)

إِن  يَمْسَسْكُمْ  قَرْحٌ  فَقَدْ  مَسَّ  ٱلْقَوْمَ  قَرْحٌ  مِّثْلُهُۥ  وَتِلْكَ  ٱلْأَيَّامُ  نُدَاوِلُهَا  بَيْنَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  وَلِيَعْلَمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  وَيَتَّخِذَ  مِنكُمْ  شُهَدَآءَ  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يُحِبُّ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ in yamsaskum qarḥun fa‑qad massa l‑qawma qarḥun mithluhu wa‑tilka l‑ayyāmu nudāwiluhā bayna l‑nāsi wa‑li‑yaʿlama allāhu lladhīna āmanū wa‑yattakhidha minkum shuhadāʾa wallāhu yuḥibbu l‑ẓālimīna
If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong.
(3:174)

And they returned with Grace and bounty from Allah: no harm ever touched them: For they followed the good pleasure of Allah: And Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:73)

لَّقَدْ  كَفَرَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  قَالُوٓا۟  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  ثَالِثُ  ثَلَٰثَةٍ  وَمَا  مِنْ  إِلَٰهٍ  إِلَّآ  إِلَٰهٌ  وَٰحِدٌ  وَإِن  لَّمْ  يَنتَهُوا۟  عَمَّا  يَقُولُونَ  لَيَمَسَّنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  مِنْهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ llaqad kafara lladhīna qālū inna allāha thālithu thalāthatin wa‑mā min ilāhin illā ilāhun wāḥidun wa‑in lam yantahū ʿammā yaqūlūna la‑yamassanna lladhīna kafarū minhum ʿadhābun alīmun
They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:17)

وَإِن  يَمْسَسْكَ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِضُرٍّ  فَلَا  كَاشِفَ  لَهُۥٓ  إِلَّا  هُوَ  وَإِن  يَمْسَسْكَ  بِخَيْرٍ  فَهُوَ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  قَدِيرٌ wa‑in yamsaska allāhu bi‑ḍurrin fa‑lā kāshifa lahu illā huwa wa‑in yamsaska bi‑khayrin fa‑huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun
"If Allah touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things.
(6:49)

But those who reject our signs,- them shall punishment touch, for that they ceased not from transgressing.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:73)

وَإِلَىٰ  ثَمُودَ  أَخَاهُمْ  صَٰلِحًا  قَالَ  يَٰقَوْمِ  ٱعْبُدُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مَا  لَكُم  مِّنْ  إِلَٰهٍ  غَيْرُهُۥ  قَدْ  جَآءَتْكُم  بَيِّنَةٌ  مِّن  رَّبِّكُمْ  هَٰذِهِۦ  نَاقَةُ  ٱللَّـهِ  لَكُمْ  ءَايَةً  فَذَرُوهَا  تَأْكُلْ  فِىٓ  أَرْضِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلَا  تَمَسُّوهَا  بِسُوٓءٍ  فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ wa‑ilā thamūda akhāhum ṣāliḥan qalā yā‑qawmi iʿbudū allāha la‑kum min ilāhin ghayruhu qad jāʾatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum hādhihi nāqatu allāhi la‑kum āyatan fa‑dharūhā taʾkul arḍi allāhi wa‑lā tamassūhā bi‑sūʾin fa‑yaʾkhudhakum ʿadhābun alīmun
To the Thamud people (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment.
(7:95)

Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) were touched by suffering and affluence" ... Behold! We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not (their peril).
(7:188)

قُل  لَّآ  أَمْلِكُ  لِنَفْسِى  نَفْعًا  وَلَا  ضَرًّا  إِلَّا  مَا  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَلَوْ  كُنتُ  أَعْلَمُ  ٱلْغَيْبَ  لَٱسْتَكْثَرْتُ  مِنَ  ٱلْخَيْرِ  وَمَا  مَسَّنِىَ  ٱلسُّوٓءُ  إِنْ  أَنَا۠  إِلَّا  نَذِيرٌ  وَبَشِيرٌ  لِّقَوْمٍ  يُؤْمِنُونَ qul amliku li‑nafsī nafʿan wa‑lā ḍarran illā shāʾa allāhu wa‑law kuntu aʿlamu l‑ghayba lastakthartu mina l‑khayri wa‑mā massaniya l‑sūʾu in anā illā nadhīrun wa‑bashīrun li‑qawmin yuʾminūna
Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."
(7:201)

Those who fear Allah, when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to remembrance, when lo! they see (aright)!

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:68)

Had it not been for a previous ordainment from Allah, a severe penalty would have reached you for the (ransom) that ye took.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:12)

وَإِذَا  مَسَّ  ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ  ٱلضُّرُّ  دَعَانَا  لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ  أَوْ  قَاعِدًا  أَوْ  قَآئِمًا  فَلَمَّا  كَشَفْنَا  عَنْهُ  ضُرَّهُۥ  مَرَّ  كَأَن  لَّمْ  يَدْعُنَآ  إِلَىٰ  ضُرٍّ  مَّسَّهُۥ  كَذَٰلِكَ  زُيِّنَ  لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ  مَا  كَانُوا۟  يَعْمَلُونَ wa‑idhā massa l‑insāna l‑ḍurru daʿānā lijanbihi aw qāʿidan aw qāʾiman fa‑lammā kashafnā ʿanhu ḍurrahu marra ka‑an lam yadʿunā ilā ḍurrin massahu ka‑dhālika zuyyina lil‑musrifīna kānū yaʿmalūna
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!
(10:21)

وَإِذَآ  أَذَقْنَا  ٱلنَّاسَ  رَحْمَةً  مِّنۢ  بَعْدِ  ضَرَّآءَ  مَسَّتْهُمْ  إِذَا  لَهُم  مَّكْرٌ  فِىٓ  ءَايَاتِنَا  قُلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَسْرَعُ  مَكْرًا  إِنَّ  رُسُلَنَا  يَكْتُبُونَ  مَا  تَمْكُرُونَ wa‑idhā adhaqnā l‑nāsa raḥmatan min baʿdi ḍarrāʾa massathum idhā lahum makrun āyātinā quli allāhu asraʿu makran inna rusulanā yaktubūna tamkurūna
When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make!
(10:107)

وَإِن  يَمْسَسْكَ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِضُرٍّ  فَلَا  كَاشِفَ  لَهُۥٓ  إِلَّا  هُوَ  وَإِن  يُرِدْكَ  بِخَيْرٍ  فَلَا  رَآدَّ  لِفَضْلِهِۦ  يُصِيبُ  بِهِۦ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  مِنْ  عِبَادِهِۦ  وَهُوَ  ٱلْغَفُورُ  ٱلرَّحِيمُ wa‑in yamsaska allāhu bi‑ḍurrin fa‑lā kāshifa lahu illā huwa wa‑in yuridka bi‑khayrin fa‑lā rādda lifaḍlihi yuṣību bihi man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi wa‑huwa l‑ghafūru l‑raḥīmu
If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:10)

وَلَئِنْ  أَذَقْنَٰهُ  نَعْمَآءَ  بَعْدَ  ضَرَّآءَ  مَسَّتْهُ  لَيَقُولَنَّ  ذَهَبَ  ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ  عَنِّىٓ  إِنَّهُۥ  لَفَرِحٌ  فَخُورٌ wa‑lain adhaqnāhu naʿmāa baʿda ḍarrāʾa massathu la‑yaqūlanna dhahaba l‑sayyiʾātu ʿannī innahu lafariḥun fakhūrun
But if We give him a taste of (Our) favours after adversity hath touched him, he is sure to say, "All evil has departed from me:" Behold! he falls into exultation and pride.
(11:48)

The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us."
(11:64)

"And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a symbol to you: leave her to feed on Allah's (free) earth, and inflict no harm on her, or a swift penalty will seize you!"
(11:113)

وَلَا  تَرْكَنُوٓا۟  إِلَى  ٱلَّذِينَ  ظَلَمُوا۟  فَتَمَسَّكُمُ  ٱلنَّارُ  وَمَا  لَكُم  مِّن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  مِنْ  أَوْلِيَآءَ  ثُمَّ  لَا  تُنصَرُونَ wa‑lā tarkanū ilā lladhīna ẓalamū fa‑tamassakumu l‑nāru wa‑mā la‑kum min dūni allāhi min awliyāʾa thumma tunṣarūna
And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall ye be helped.

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:88)

Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable."

Surah 15 al-Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract)
(15:48)

There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave.
(15:54)

قَالَ  أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى  عَلَىٰٓ  أَن  مَّسَّنِىَ  ٱلْكِبَرُ  فَبِمَ  تُبَشِّرُونَ qalā a‑bashshartumūnī ʿala an massanīa l‑kibaru fabima tubashshirūna
He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?"

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:53)

And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans;

Surah 17 al-Isrāʾ (The Children of Israel)
(17:67)

وَإِذَا  مَسَّكُمُ  ٱلضُّرُّ  فِى  ٱلْبَحْرِ  ضَلَّ  مَن  تَدْعُونَ  إِلَّآ  إِيَّاهُ  فَلَمَّا  نَجَّىٰكُمْ  إِلَى  ٱلْبَرِّ  أَعْرَضْتُمْ  وَكَانَ  ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ  كَفُورًا wa‑idhā massakumu l‑ḍurru l‑baḥri ḍalla man tadʿūna illā iyyāhu fa‑lammā najjakum ilā l‑barri aʿraḍtum wa‑kāna l‑insānu kafūran
When distress seizes you at sea, those that ye call upon - besides Himself - leave you in the lurch! but when He brings you back safe to land, ye turn away (from Him). Most ungrateful is man!
(17:83)

وَإِذَآ  أَنْعَمْنَا  عَلَى  ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ  أَعْرَضَ  وَنَـَٔا  بِجَانِبِهِۦ  وَإِذَا  مَسَّهُ  ٱلشَّرُّ  كَانَ  يَـُٔوسًا wa‑idhā anʿamnā ʿalā linsāni aʿraḍa wa‑naʾā bi‑jānibihi wa‑idhā massahu l‑sharru kāna yaʾūsan
Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair!

Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)
(19:20)

She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
(19:45)

يَٰٓأَبَتِ  إِنِّىٓ  أَخَافُ  أَن  يَمَسَّكَ  عَذَابٌ  مِّنَ  ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ  فَتَكُونَ  لِلشَّيْطَٰنِ  وَلِيًّا yā‑abati innī akhāfu an yamassaka ʿadhābun mina l‑raḥmāni fa‑takūna lil‑shayṭāni waliyyan
"O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from (Allah) Most Gracious, so that thou become to Satan a friend."

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:46)

وَلَئِن  مَّسَّتْهُمْ  نَفْحَةٌ  مِّنْ  عَذَابِ  رَبِّكَ  لَيَقُولُنَّ  يَٰوَيْلَنَآ  إِنَّا  كُنَّا  ظَٰلِمِينَ wa‑laʾin massathum nafḥatun min ʿadhābi rabbika la‑yaqūlunna yā‑waylanā innā kunnā ẓālimīna
If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them, they will then say, "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!"
(21:83)

And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful."

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:14)

Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair.
(24:35)

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.

Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)
(26:156)

وَلَا  تَمَسُّوهَا  بِسُوٓءٍ  فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ  عَذَابُ  يَوْمٍ  عَظِيمٍ wa‑lā tamassūhā bi‑sūʾin fa‑yaʾkhudhakum ʿadhābu yawmin ʿaẓīmin
"Touch her not with harm, lest the Penalty of a Great Day seize you."

Surah 30 al-Rūm (The Romans)
(30:33)

When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,-

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:49)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  إِذَا  نَكَحْتُمُ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ  ثُمَّ  طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  تَمَسُّوهُنَّ  فَمَا  لَكُمْ  عَلَيْهِنَّ  مِنْ  عِدَّةٍ  تَعْتَدُّونَهَا  فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ  وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ  سَرَاحًا  جَمِيلًا yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā nakaḥtumu l‑muʾmināti thumma ṭallaqtumūhunna min qabli an tamassūhunna fa‑mā la‑kum ʿalayhinna min ʿiddatin taʿtaddūnahā fa‑mattiʿūhunna wa‑sarriḥūhunna sarāḥan jamīlan
O ye who believe! When ye marry believing women, and then divorce them before ye have touched them, no period of 'Iddat have ye to count in respect of them: so give them a present. And set them free in a handsome manner.

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
(35:35)

"Who has, out of His Bounty, settled us in a Home that will last: no toil nor sense of weariness shall touch us therein."

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:18)

The (people) said: "for us, we augur an evil omen from you: if ye desist not, we will certainly stone you. And a grievous punishment indeed will be inflicted on you by us."

Surah 38 Ṣād (Sad)
(38:41)

Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!"

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:8)

وَإِذَا  مَسَّ  ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ  ضُرٌّ  دَعَا  رَبَّهُۥ  مُنِيبًا  إِلَيْهِ  ثُمَّ  إِذَا  خَوَّلَهُۥ  نِعْمَةً  مِّنْهُ  نَسِىَ  مَا  كَانَ  يَدْعُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِ  مِن  قَبْلُ  وَجَعَلَ  لِلَّـهِ  أَندَادًا  لِّيُضِلَّ  عَن  سَبِيلِهِۦ  قُلْ  تَمَتَّعْ  بِكُفْرِكَ  قَلِيلًا  إِنَّكَ  مِنْ  أَصْحَٰبِ  ٱلنَّارِ wa‑idhā massa l‑insāna ḍurrun daʿā rabbahu munīban ilayhi thumma idhā khawwalahu niʿmatan minhu nasiya kāna yadʿū ilayhi min qablu wa‑jaʿala lillāhi andādan li‑yuḍilla ʿan sabīlihi qul tamattaʿ bi‑kufrika qalīlan innaka min aṣḥābi l‑nāri
When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!"
(39:49)

Now, when trouble touches man, he cries to Us: But when We bestow a favour upon him as from Ourselves, he says, "This has been given to me because of a certain knowledge (I have)!" Nay, but this is but a trial, but most of them understand not!
(39:61)

But Allah will deliver the righteous to their place of salvation: no evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve.

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:49)

لَّا  يَسْـَٔمُ  ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ  مِن  دُعَآءِ  ٱلْخَيْرِ  وَإِن  مَّسَّهُ  ٱلشَّرُّ  فَيَـُٔوسٌ  قَنُوطٌ yasʾamu l‑insānu min duʿāʾī l‑khayri wa‑in massahu l‑sharru fa‑yaʾūsun qanūṭun
Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair.
(41:50)

وَلَئِنْ  أَذَقْنَٰهُ  رَحْمَةً  مِّنَّا  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  ضَرَّآءَ  مَسَّتْهُ  لَيَقُولَنَّ  هَٰذَا  لِى  وَمَآ  أَظُنُّ  ٱلسَّاعَةَ  قَآئِمَةً  وَلَئِن  رُّجِعْتُ  إِلَىٰ  رَبِّىٓ  إِنَّ  لِى  عِندَهُۥ  لَلْحُسْنَىٰ  فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  بِمَا  عَمِلُوا۟  وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم  مِّنْ  عَذَابٍ  غَلِيظٍ wa‑lain adhaqnāhu raḥmatan minnā min baʿdi ḍarrāʾa massathu la‑yaqūlanna hādhā wa‑mā aẓunnu l‑sāʿata qāʾimatan wa‑laʾin rrujiʿtu ilā rabbī inna ʿindahu la‑l‑ḥusnā fa‑la‑nunabbiʾanna lladhīna kafarū bi‑mā ʿamilū wa‑la‑nudhīqannahum min ʿadhābin ghalīẓin
When we give him a taste of some Mercy from Ourselves, after some adversity has touched him, he is sure to say, "This is due to my (merit): I think not that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) be established; but if I am brought back to my Lord, I have (much) good (stored) in His sight!" But We will show the Unbelievers the truth of all that they did, and We shall give them the taste of a severe Penalty.
(41:51)

وَإِذَآ  أَنْعَمْنَا  عَلَى  ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ  أَعْرَضَ  وَنَـَٔا  بِجَانِبِهِۦ  وَإِذَا  مَسَّهُ  ٱلشَّرُّ  فَذُو  دُعَآءٍ  عَرِيضٍ wa‑idhā anʿamnā ʿalā linsāni aʿraḍa wa‑naʾā bi‑jānibihi wa‑idhā massahu l‑sharru fa‑dhū duʿāʾin ʿarīḍin
When We bestow favours on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us); and when evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer!

Surah 50 Qāf (Qaf)
(50:38)

We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.

Surah 56 al-Wāqiʿah (That Which is Coming)
(56:79)

Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
