Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:84

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fa-inẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-mujrimīna

And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!

Sura al-Anfāl 8:32

وَإِذْ قَالُوا۟ ٱللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَوِ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

wa-idh qālū l-lahumma in kāna hādhā huwa l-ḥaqqa min ʿindika faamṭir ʿalaynā ḥijāratan mina l-samāʾi awi iʾtinā bi-ʿadhābin alīmin

Remember how they said: "O Allah if this is indeed the Truth from Thee, rain down on us a shower of stones form the sky, or send us a grievous penalty."

Sura Hūd 11:82

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ

fa-lammā jāa amrunā jaʿalnā ʿāliyahā sāfilahā wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhā ḥijāratan min sijjīlin manḍūdin

When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer,-

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:74

فَجَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

fa-jaʿalnā ʿāliyahā sāfilahā wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim ḥijāratan min sijjīlin

And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.

Sura al-Furqān 25:40

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا

wa-la-qad ātaw ʿalā l-qaryati allatī umṭirat maṭara l-sawʾi a-fa-lam yakūnū yarawnahā bal kānū lā yarjūna nushūran

And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:173

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fa-sāa maṭaru l-mundharīna

We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!

Sura al-Naml 27:58

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fa-sāa maṭaru l-mundharīna

And We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!
