Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:164

لَقَدْ مَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

la-qad manna allāhu ʿalā l-muʾminīna idh baʿatha fīhim rasūlan min anfusihim yatlū ʿalayhim āyātihi wa-yuzakkīhim wa-yuʿallimuhumu l-kitāba wa-l-ḥikmata wa-in kānū min qablu la-fī ḍalālin mubīnin

Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:94

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا۟ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَنْ أَلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلَٰمَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّـهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيرَةٌ كَذَٰلِكَ كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū idhā ḍarabtum fī sabīli allāhi fa-tabayyanū wa-lā taqūlū liman alqā ilaykumu l-salāma lasta muʾminan tabtaghūna ʿaraḍa l-ḥayāti l-dunyā fa-ʿinda allāhi maghānimu kathīratun ka-dhālika kuntum min qablu famanna allāhu ʿalaykum fa-tabayyanū inna allāha kāna bi-mā taʿmalūna khabīran

O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" Coveting the perishable goods of this life: with Allah are profits and spoils abundant. Even thus were ye yourselves before, till Allah conferred on you His favours: Therefore carefully investigate. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:53

وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّـهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

wa-ka-dhālika fatannā baʿḍahum bi-baʿḍin li-yaqūlū a-hāʾulāʾi manna allāhu ʿalayhim min bayninā a-laysa allāhu bi-aʿlama bil-shākirīna

Thus did We try some of them by comparison with others, that they should say: "Is it these then that Allah hath favoured from amongst us?" Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

Sura Yūsuf 12:90

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ يُوسُفُ قَالَ أَنَا۠ يُوسُفُ وَهَٰذَآ أَخِى قَدْ مَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَتَّقِ وَيَصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

qālū a-innaka la-anta yūsufu qalā anā yūsufu wa-hādhā akhī qad manna allāhu ʿalaynā innahu man yattaqi wa-yaṣbir fa-inna allāha lā yuḍīʿu ajra l-muḥsinīna

They said: "Art thou indeed Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother: Allah has indeed been gracious to us (all): behold, he that is righteous and patient,- never will Allah suffer the reward to be lost, of those who do right."

Sura Ibrāhīm 14:11

قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَعَلَى ٱللَّـهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

qālat lahum rusuluhum in nnaḥnu illā basharun mithlukum wa-lākinna allāha yamunnu ʿalā man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi wa-mā kāna lanā an naʾtiyakum bi-sulṭānin illā bi-idhni allāhi wa-ʿala allāhi fa-l-yatawakkali l-muʾminūna

Their messengers said to them: "True, we are human like yourselves, but Allah doth grant His grace to such of his servants as He pleases. It is not for us to bring you an authority except as Allah permits. And on Allah let all men of faith put their trust.

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:37

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَيْكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَىٰٓ

wa-la-qad manannā ʿalayka marratan ukhrā

"And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before).

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:22

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

wa-tilka niʿmatun tamunnuhā ʿalayya an ʿabbadtta banī isrāʾīla

"And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!"

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:5

وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

wa-nurīdu an nnamunna ʿalā lladhīna istuḍʿifū fī l-arḍi wa-najʿalahum aʾimmatan wa-najʿalahumu l-wārithīna

And We wished to be Gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in Faith) and make them heirs,

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:82

وَأَصْبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا۟ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ لَوْلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيْكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

wa-aṣbaḥa lladhīna tamannaw makānahu bil-amsi yaqūlūna way-ka-anna allāha yabsuṭu l-rizqa li-man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi wa-yaqdiru lawlā an manna allāhu ʿalaynā la-khasafa binā way-ka-annahu lā yufliḥu l-kāfirūna

And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:114

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

wa-la-qad manannā ʿalā mūsā wa-hārūna

Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron,

Sura Ṣād 38:39

هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

hādhā ʿaṭāʾunā fa-imnun aw amsik bi-ghayri ḥisābin

"Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked."

Sura al-Ḥujurāt 49:17

يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا۟ قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا۟ عَلَىَّ إِسْلَٰمَكُم بَلِ ٱللَّـهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَىٰكُمْ لِلْإِيمَٰنِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

yamunnūna ʿalayka an aslamū qul lā tamunnū ʿalayya islāmakum bali allāhu yamunnu ʿalaykum an hadākum lil-īmāni in kuntum ṣādiqīna

They impress on thee as a favour that they have embraced Islam. Say, "Count not your Islam as a favour upon me: Nay, Allah has conferred a favour upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if ye be true and sincere.

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:27

فَمَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ

famanna allāhu ʿalaynā wa-waqānā ʿadhāba l-samūmi

"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.

Sura al-Muddaththir 74:6

وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ

wa-lā tamnun tastakthiru

Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)!
