(2:61) | وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَٰحِدٍ فَٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنۢ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ ٱلَّذِى هُوَ أَدْنَىٰ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ ٱهْبِطُوا۟ مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ وَٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ | wa‑idh qultum yā‑mūsā lan naṣbira ʿalā ṭaʿāmin wāḥidin fa‑idʿu la‑nā rabbaka yukhrij la‑nā mimmā tunbitu l‑arḍu min baqlihā wa‑qiththāʾihā wa‑fūmihā wa‑ʿadasihā wa‑baṣalihā qalā atastabdilūna alladhī huwa adnā bi‑lladhī huwa khayrun ahbiṭū miṣran fa‑inna la‑kum mā saʾaltum waḍuribat ʿalayhimu l‑dhillatu wa‑l‑maskanatu wa‑bāʾū bighaḍabin mina allāhi dhālika bi‑annahum kānū yakfurūna bi‑āyāti allāhi wa‑yaqtulūna l‑nabiyyina bi‑ghayri l‑ḥaqqi dhālika bi‑mā ʿaṣaw wa‑kānū yaʿtadūna | And remember ye said: "O Moses! we cannot endure one kind of
food (always); so beseech thy Lord for us to produce for us of what the
earth groweth, -its pot-herbs, and cucumbers, Its garlic, lentils, and
onions." He said: "Will ye exchange the better for the worse? Go ye down to
any town, and ye shall find what ye want!" They were covered with
humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This
because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers
without just cause. This because they rebelled and went on transgressing.
Sura al-Baqara 2:61 وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَٰحِدٍ فَٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنۢ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ ٱلَّذِى هُوَ أَدْنَىٰ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ ٱهْبِطُوا۟ مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ وَٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ wa-idh qultum yā-mūsā lan naṣbira ʿalā ṭaʿāmin wāḥidin fa-idʿu la-nā rabbaka yukhrij la-nā mimmā tunbitu l-arḍu min baqlihā wa-qiththāʾihā wa-fūmihā wa-ʿadasihā wa-baṣalihā qalā atastabdilūna alladhī huwa adnā bi-lladhī huwa khayrun ahbiṭū miṣran fa-inna la-kum mā saʾaltum waḍuribat ʿalayhimu l-dhillatu wa-l-maskanatu wa-bāʾū bighaḍabin mina allāhi dhālika bi-annahum kānū yakfurūna bi-āyāti allāhi wa-yaqtulūna l-nabiyyina bi-ghayri l-ḥaqqi dhālika bi-mā ʿaṣaw wa-kānū yaʿtadūna And remember ye said: "O Moses! we cannot endure one kind of food (always); so beseech thy Lord for us to produce for us of what the earth groweth, -its pot-herbs, and cucumbers, Its garlic, lentils, and onions." (2:261) | مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِى كُلِّ سُنۢبُلَةٍ مِّا۟ئَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَٱللَّـهُ يُضَٰعِفُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | mathalu lladhīna yunfiqūna amwālahum fī sabīli allāhi ka‑mathali ḥabbatin anbatat sabʿa sanābila fī kulli sunbulatin miatu ḥabbatin wallāhu yuḍāʿifu li‑man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun | The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of
Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a
hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah
careth for all and He knoweth all things.
Sura al-Baqara 2:261 مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِى كُلِّ سُنۢبُلَةٍ مِّا۟ئَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَٱللَّـهُ يُضَٰعِفُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ mathalu lladhīna yunfiqūna amwālahum fī sabīli allāhi ka-mathali ḥabbatin anbatat sabʿa sanābila fī kulli sunbulatin miatu ḥabbatin wallāhu yuḍāʿifu li-man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things. |
(3:37) | فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ | fa‑taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi‑qabūlin ḥasanin wa‑anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa‑kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l‑miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā‑maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi‑ghayri ḥisābin | Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in
purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time
that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with
sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From
Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:37 فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ fa-taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi-qabūlin ḥasanin wa-anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa-kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l-miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā-maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi-ghayri ḥisābin Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. (16:11) | يُنۢبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ ٱلزَّرْعَ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلنَّخِيلَ وَٱلْأَعْنَٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ | yunbitu la‑kum bihi l‑zarʿa wa‑l‑zaytūna wa‑l‑nakhīla wa‑l‑aʿnāba wa‑min kulli l‑thamarāti inna fī dhālika la‑āyatan li‑qawmin yatafakkarūna | With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes
and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give
thought.
Sura al-Naḥl 16:11 يُنۢبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ ٱلزَّرْعَ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلنَّخِيلَ وَٱلْأَعْنَٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ yunbitu la-kum bihi l-zarʿa wa-l-zaytūna wa-l-nakhīla wa-l-aʿnāba wa-min kulli l-thamarāti inna fī dhālika la-āyatan li-qawmin yatafakkarūna With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. |
(22:5) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْـًٔا وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ | yā‑ayyuhā l‑nāsu in kuntum fī raybin mina l‑baʿthi fa‑innā khalaqnākum min turābin thumma min nuṭfatin thumma min ʿalaqatin thumma min muḍghatin mukhallaqatin wa‑ghayri mukhallaqatin li‑nubayyina la‑kum wa‑nuqirru fī l‑arḥāmi mā nashāʾu ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum ṭiflan thumma li‑tablughū ashuddakum wa‑minkum man yutawaffā wa‑minkum man yuraddu ila ardhali l‑ʿumuri li‑kaylā yaʿlama min baʿdi ʿilmin shayʾan wa‑tara l‑arḍa hāmidatan fa‑idhā anzalnā ʿalayhā l‑māa ihtazzat wa‑rabat wa‑anbatat min kulli zawjin bahījin | O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection,
(consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of
a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly
unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause
whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring
you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full
strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the
feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and
(further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down
rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every
kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
Sura al-Ḥajj 22:5 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْـًٔا وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu in kuntum fī raybin mina l-baʿthi fa-innā khalaqnākum min turābin thumma min nuṭfatin thumma min ʿalaqatin thumma min muḍghatin mukhallaqatin wa-ghayri mukhallaqatin li-nubayyina la-kum wa-nuqirru fī l-arḥāmi mā nashāʾu ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum ṭiflan thumma li-tablughū ashuddakum wa-minkum man yutawaffā wa-minkum man yuraddu ila ardhali l-ʿumuri li-kaylā yaʿlama min baʿdi ʿilmin shayʾan wa-tara l-arḍa hāmidatan fa-idhā anzalnā ʿalayhā l-māa ihtazzat wa-rabat wa-anbatat min kulli zawjin bahījin O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs). |
(23:20) | وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لَّلْأَكِلِينَ | wa‑shajaratan takhruju min ṭūri saynāʾa tanbutu bil‑duhni wa‑ṣibghin lil‑akilīna | Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil,
and relish for those who use it for food.
Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:20 وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لَّلْأَكِلِينَ wa-shajaratan takhruju min ṭūri saynāʾa tanbutu bil-duhni wa-ṣibghin lil-akilīna Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. |
(36:36) | سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | subḥāna alladhī khalaqa l‑azwāja kullahā mimmā tunbitu l‑arḍu wa‑min anfusihim wa‑mimmā lā yaʿlamūna | Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth
produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which
they have no knowledge.
Sura Yā Sin 36:36 سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ subḥāna alladhī khalaqa l-azwāja kullahā mimmā tunbitu l-arḍu wa-min anfusihim wa-mimmā lā yaʿlamūna Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. |
(71:17) | وَٱللَّـهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا | wallāhu anbatakum mina l‑arḍi nabātan | "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing
(gradually),
Sura Nūḥ 71:17 وَٱللَّـهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا wallāhu anbatakum mina l-arḍi nabātan "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually), |
