Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:6)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  سَوَآءٌ  عَلَيْهِمْ  ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ  أَمْ  لَمْ  تُنذِرْهُمْ  لَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ inna lladhīna kafarū sawāʾun ʿalayhim a‑andhartahum am lam tundhirhum yuʾminūna
As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
(2:270)

And whatever ye spend in charity or devotion, be sure Allah knows it all. But the wrong-doers have no helpers.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:35)

Behold! a woman of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things."

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:19)

قُلْ  أَىُّ  شَىْءٍ  أَكْبَرُ  شَهَٰدَةً  قُلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  شَهِيدٌۢ  بَيْنِى  وَبَيْنَكُمْ  وَأُوحِىَ  إِلَىَّ  هَٰذَا  ٱلْقُرْءَانُ  لِأُنذِرَكُم  بِهِۦ  وَمَنۢ  بَلَغَ  أَئِنَّكُمْ  لَتَشْهَدُونَ  أَنَّ  مَعَ  ٱللَّـهِ  ءَالِهَةً  أُخْرَىٰ  قُل  لَّآ  أَشْهَدُ  قُلْ  إِنَّمَا  هُوَ  إِلَٰهٌ  وَٰحِدٌ  وَإِنَّنِى  بَرِىٓءٌ  مِّمَّا  تُشْرِكُونَ qul ayyu shayʾin akbaru shahādatan quli allāhu shahīdun baynī wa‑baynakum wa‑ūḥiya ilayya hādhā l‑qurʾānu li‑undhirakum bihi wa‑man balagha a‑innakum la‑tashhadūna annā maʿa allāhi ālihatan ukhrā qul ashhadu qul innamā huwa ilāhun wāḥidun wa‑innanī barīʾun mimmā tushrikūna
Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "Allah is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one Allah, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."
(6:51)

وَأَنذِرْ  بِهِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَخَافُونَ  أَن  يُحْشَرُوٓا۟  إِلَىٰ  رَبِّهِمْ  لَيْسَ  لَهُم  مِّن  دُونِهِۦ  وَلِىٌّ  وَلَا  شَفِيعٌ  لَّعَلَّهُمْ  يَتَّقُونَ wa‑andhir bihi lladhīna yakhāfūna an yuḥsharū ilā rabbihim laysa lahum min dūnihi waliyyun wa‑lā shafīʿun la‑ʿallahum yattaqūna
Give this warning to those in whose (hearts) is the fear that they will be brought (to judgment) before their Lord: except for Him they will have no protector nor intercessor: that they may guard (against evil).
(6:92)

وَهَٰذَا  كِتَٰبٌ  أَنزَلْنَٰهُ  مُبَارَكٌ  مُّصَدِّقُ  ٱلَّذِى  بَيْنَ  يَدَيْهِ  وَلِتُنذِرَ  أُمَّ  ٱلْقُرَىٰ  وَمَنْ  حَوْلَهَا  وَٱلَّذِينَ  يُؤْمِنُونَ  بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ  يُؤْمِنُونَ  بِهِۦ  وَهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  صَلَاتِهِمْ  يُحَافِظُونَ wa‑hādhā kitābun anzalnāhu mubārakun muṣaddiqu alladhī bayna yadayhi wa‑li‑tundhira umma l‑qurā wa‑man ḥawlahā wa‑lladhīna yuʾminūna bil‑akhirati yuʾminūna bihi wa‑hum ʿalā ṣalātihim yuḥāfiẓūna
And this is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming (the revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the mother of cities and all around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book), and they are constant in guarding their prayers.
(6:130)

يَٰمَعْشَرَ  ٱلْجِنِّ  وَٱلْإِنسِ  أَلَمْ  يَأْتِكُمْ  رُسُلٌ  مِّنكُمْ  يَقُصُّونَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  ءَايَٰتِى  وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ  لِقَآءَ  يَوْمِكُمْ  هَٰذَا  قَالُوا۟  شَهِدْنَا  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِنَا  وَغَرَّتْهُمُ  ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَشَهِدُوا۟  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِهِمْ  أَنَّهُمْ  كَانُوا۟  كَٰفِرِينَ yā‑maʿshara l‑jinni wa‑l‑insi a‑lam yatikum rusulun minkum yaquṣṣūna ʿalaykum āyātī wa‑yundhirūnakum liqāʾa yawmikum hādhā qālū shahidnā ʿala anfusinā wa‑gharrathumu l‑ḥayātu l‑dunyā wa‑shahidū ʿala anfusihim annahum kānū kāfirīna
"O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:2)

A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers).
(7:63)

أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ  أَن  جَآءَكُمْ  ذِكْرٌ  مِّن  رَّبِّكُمْ  عَلَىٰ  رَجُلٍ  مِّنكُمْ  لِيُنذِرَكُمْ  وَلِتَتَّقُوا۟  وَلَعَلَّكُمْ  تُرْحَمُونَ awa‑ʿajibtum an jāʾakum dhikrun min rabbikum ʿalā rajulin minkum li‑yundhirakum wa‑li‑tattaqū wa‑la‑ʿallakum turḥamūna
"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?"
(7:69)

أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ  أَن  جَآءَكُمْ  ذِكْرٌ  مِّن  رَّبِّكُمْ  عَلَىٰ  رَجُلٍ  مِّنكُمْ  لِيُنذِرَكُمْ  وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟  إِذْ  جَعَلَكُمْ  خُلَفَآءَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  قَوْمِ  نُوحٍ  وَزَادَكُمْ  فِى  ٱلْخَلْقِ  بَصْۜطَةً  فَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟  ءَالَآءَ  ٱللَّـهِ  لَعَلَّكُمْ  تُفْلِحُونَ awa‑ʿajibtum an jāʾakum dhikrun min rabbikum ʿalā rajulin minkum li‑yundhirakum wa‑idhkurū idh jaʿalakum khulafāʾa min baʿdi qawmi nūḥin wa‑zādakum l‑khalqi baṣṭatan fa‑udhkurū ālāʾa allāhi la‑ʿallakum tufliḥūna
"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord through a man of your own people, to warn you? call in remembrance that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and gave you a stature tall among the nations. Call in remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah: that so ye may prosper."

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:122)

Nor should the Believers all go forth together: if a contingent from every expedition remained behind, they could devote themselves to studies in religion, and admonish the people when they return to them,- that thus they (may learn) to guard themselves (against evil).

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:2)

أَكَانَ  لِلنَّاسِ  عَجَبًا  أَنْ  أَوْحَيْنَآ  إِلَىٰ  رَجُلٍ  مِّنْهُمْ  أَنْ  أَنذِرِ  ٱلنَّاسَ  وَبَشِّرِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  لَهُمْ  قَدَمَ  صِدْقٍ  عِندَ  رَبِّهِمْ  قَالَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ  إِنَّ  هَٰذَا  لَسَٰحِرٌ  مُّبِينٌ akāna lil‑nāsi ʿajaban an awḥaynā ilā rajulin minhum an andhiri l‑nāsa wa‑bashshiri lladhīna āmanū annā lahum qadama ṣidqin ʿinda rabbihim qalā l‑kāfirūna inna hādhā la‑sāḥirun mubīnun
Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!"

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:44)

وَأَنذِرِ  ٱلنَّاسَ  يَوْمَ  يَأْتِيهِمُ  ٱلْعَذَابُ  فَيَقُولُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ظَلَمُوا۟  رَبَّنَآ  أَخِّرْنَآ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَجَلٍ  قَرِيبٍ  نُّجِبْ  دَعْوَتَكَ  وَنَتَّبِعِ  ٱلرُّسُلَ  أَوَلَمْ  تَكُونُوٓا۟  أَقْسَمْتُم  مِّن  قَبْلُ  مَا  لَكُم  مِّن  زَوَالٍ wa‑andhiri l‑nāsa yawma yaʾtīhimu l‑ʿadhābu fa‑yaqūlu lladhīna ẓalamū rabbanā akhkhirnā ila ajalin qarībin nnujib daʿwataka wa‑nattabiʿi l‑rusula a‑wa‑lam takūnū aqsamtum min qablu la‑kum min zawālin
So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline?
(14:52)

Here is a Message for mankind: Let them take warning therefrom, and let them know that He is (no other than) One Allah: let men of understanding take heed.

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:2)

يُنَزِّلُ  ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ  بِٱلرُّوحِ  مِنْ  أَمْرِهِۦ  عَلَىٰ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  مِنْ  عِبَادِهِۦٓ  أَنْ  أَنذِرُوٓا۟  أَنَّهُۥ  لَآ  إِلَٰهَ  إِلَّآ  أَنَا۠  فَٱتَّقُونِ yunazzilu l‑malāikata bil‑rūḥi min amrihi ʿalā man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi an andhirū annahu ilāha illā anā fa‑ittaqūni
He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me."

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:2)

(He hath made it) Straight (and Clear) in order that He may warn (the godless) of a terrible Punishment from Him, and that He may give Glad Tidings to the Believers who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a goodly Reward,
(18:4)

Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "Allah hath begotten a son":
(18:56)

We only send the messengers to give Glad Tidings and to give warnings: But the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat My Signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned!

Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)
(19:26)

"So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
(19:39)

But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
(19:97)

So have We made the (Qur'an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:45)

قُلْ  إِنَّمَآ  أُنذِرُكُم  بِٱلْوَحْىِ  وَلَا  يَسْمَعُ  ٱلصُّمُّ  ٱلدُّعَآءَ  إِذَا  مَا  يُنذَرُونَ qul innamā undhirukum bil‑waḥyi wa‑lā yasmaʿu l‑ṣummu l‑duʿāʾa idhā yundharūna
Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!

Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)
(26:214)

And admonish thy nearest kinsmen,

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:46)

Nor wast thou at the side of (the Mountain of) Tur when we called (to Moses). Yet (art thou sent) as Mercy from thy Lord, to give warning to a people to whom no warner had come before thee: in order that they may receive admonition.

Surah 32 al-Sajdah (The Adoration)
(32:3)

Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance.

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
(35:18)

وَلَا  تَزِرُ  وَازِرَةٌ  وِزْرَ  أُخْرَىٰ  وَإِن  تَدْعُ  مُثْقَلَةٌ  إِلَىٰ  حِمْلِهَا  لَا  يُحْمَلْ  مِنْهُ  شَىْءٌ  وَلَوْ  كَانَ  ذَا  قُرْبَىٰٓ  إِنَّمَا  تُنذِرُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَخْشَوْنَ  رَبَّهُم  بِٱلْغَيْبِ  وَأَقَامُوا۟  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَمَن  تَزَكَّىٰ  فَإِنَّمَا  يَتَزَكَّىٰ  لِنَفْسِهِۦ  وَإِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  ٱلْمَصِيرُ wa‑lā taziru wāziratun wizra ukhrā wa‑in tadʿu muthqalatun ilā ḥimlihā yuḥmal minhu shayʾun wa‑law kāna dhā qurba innamā tundhiru lladhīna yakhshawna rabbahum bil‑ghaybi wa‑aqāmū l‑ṣalāta wa‑man tazakkā fa‑innamā yatazakka li‑nafsihi wa‑ilā allāhi l‑maṣīru
Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another's burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:6)

In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah).
(36:10)

وَسَوَآءٌ  عَلَيْهِمْ  ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ  أَمْ  لَمْ  تُنذِرْهُمْ  لَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ wa‑sawāun ʿalayhim a‑andhartahum am lam tundhirhum yuʾminūna
The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe.
(36:11)

إِنَّمَا  تُنذِرُ  مَنِ  ٱتَّبَعَ  ٱلذِّكْرَ  وَخَشِىَ  ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ  بِٱلْغَيْبِ  فَبَشِّرْهُ  بِمَغْفِرَةٍ  وَأَجْرٍ  كَرِيمٍ innamā tundhiru mani ittabaʿa l‑dhikrā wa‑kashiya l‑raḥmāna bil‑ghaybi fa‑bashshirhu bi‑maghfiratin wa‑ajrin karīmin
Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.
(36:70)

لِّيُنذِرَ  مَن  كَانَ  حَيًّا  وَيَحِقَّ  ٱلْقَوْلُ  عَلَى  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ li‑yundhira man kāna ḥayyan wa‑yaḥiqqa l‑qawlu ʿalā l‑kāfirīna
That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:71)

وَسِيقَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوٓا۟  إِلَىٰ  جَهَنَّمَ  زُمَرًا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  جَآءُوهَا  فُتِحَتْ  أَبْوَٰبُهَا  وَقَالَ  لَهُمْ  خَزَنَتُهَآ  أَلَمْ  يَأْتِكُمْ  رُسُلٌ  مِّنكُمْ  يَتْلُونَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  ءَايَٰتِ  رَبِّكُمْ  وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ  لِقَآءَ  يَوْمِكُمْ  هَٰذَا  قَالُوا۟  بَلَىٰ  وَلَٰكِنْ  حَقَّتْ  كَلِمَةُ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  عَلَى  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ wa‑sīqa lladhīna kafarū ilā jahannama zumaran ḥatta idhā jāʾūhā futiḥat abwābuhā wa‑qāla lahum khazanatuhā a‑lam yatikum rusulun minkum yatlūna ʿalaykum āyāti rabbikum wa‑yundhirūnakum liqāʾa yawmikum hādhā qālū balā wa‑lākin ḥaqqat kalimatu l‑ʿadhābi ʿalā l‑kāfirīna
The Unbelievers will be led to Hell in crowd: until, when they arrive, there, its gates will be opened. And its keepers will say, "Did not messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of This Day of yours?" The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!"

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:15)

رَفِيعُ  ٱلدَّرَجَٰتِ  ذُو  ٱلْعَرْشِ  يُلْقِى  ٱلرُّوحَ  مِنْ  أَمْرِهِۦ  عَلَىٰ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  مِنْ  عِبَادِهِۦ  لِيُنذِرَ  يَوْمَ  ٱلتَّلَاقِ rafīʿu l‑darajāti dhū l‑ʿarshi yulqī l‑rūḥa min amrihi ʿalā man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi li‑yundhira yawma l‑talāqi
Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,-
(40:18)

وَأَنذِرْهُمْ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْأَزِفَةِ  إِذِ  ٱلْقُلُوبُ  لَدَى  ٱلْحَنَاجِرِ  كَٰظِمِينَ  مَا  لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ  مِنْ  حَمِيمٍ  وَلَا  شَفِيعٍ  يُطَاعُ wa‑andhirhum yawma l‑azifati idhi l‑qulūbu lada l‑ḥanājiri kāẓimīna lil‑ẓālimīna min ḥamīmin wa‑lā shafīʿin yuṭāʿu
Warn them of the Day that is (ever) drawing near, when the hearts will (come) right up to the throats to choke (them); No intimate friend nor intercessor will the wrong-doers have, who could be listened to.

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:13)

فَإِنْ  أَعْرَضُوا۟  فَقُلْ  أَنذَرْتُكُمْ  صَٰعِقَةً  مِّثْلَ  صَٰعِقَةِ  عَادٍ  وَثَمُودَ fa‑in aʿraḍū fa‑qul andhartukum ṣāʿiqatan mithla ṣāʿiqati ʿādin wa‑thamūda
But if they turn away, say thou: "I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the 'Ad and the Thamud!"

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:7)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ  أَوْحَيْنَآ  إِلَيْكَ  قُرْءَانًا  عَرَبِيًّا  لِّتُنذِرَ  أُمَّ  ٱلْقُرَىٰ  وَمَنْ  حَوْلَهَا  وَتُنذِرَ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْجَمْعِ  لَا  رَيْبَ  فِيهِ  فَرِيقٌ  فِى  ٱلْجَنَّةِ  وَفَرِيقٌ  فِى  ٱلسَّعِيرِ wa‑ka‑dhālika awḥaynā ilayka qurʾānan ʿarabiyyan li‑tundhira umma l‑qurā wa‑man ḥawlahā wa‑tundhira yawma l‑jamʿi rayba fīhi farīqun l‑jannati wa‑farīqun l‑saʿīri
Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire.

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:3)

We created not the heavens and the earth and all between them but for just ends, and for a Term Appointed: But those who reject Faith turn away from that whereof they are warned.
(46:12)

And before this, was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy: And this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust, and as Glad Tidings to those who do right.
(46:21)

Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day."

Surah 54 al-Qamar (The Moon)
(54:36)

وَلَقَدْ  أَنذَرَهُم  بَطْشَتَنَا  فَتَمَارَوْا۟  بِٱلنُّذُرِ wa‑la‑qad andharahum baṭshatanā fa‑tamāraw bil‑nudhuri
And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning.

Surah 71 Nūḥ (Noah)
(71:1)

إِنَّآ  أَرْسَلْنَا  نُوحًا  إِلَىٰ  قَوْمِهِۦٓ  أَنْ  أَنذِرْ  قَوْمَكَ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  يَأْتِيَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ innā arsalnā nūḥan ilā qawmihi an andhir qawmaka min qabli an yaʾtiyahum ʿadhābun alīmun
We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty."

Surah 74 al-Muddaththir (The Clothed One)
(74:2)

قُمْ  فَأَنذِرْ qum fa‑andhir
Arise and deliver thy warning!

Surah 78 al-Nabaʾ (The Tidings)
(78:40)

Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"

Surah 92 al-Layl (The Night)
(92:14)

Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely;
