Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:135

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

fa-lammā kashafnā ʿanhumu l-rijza ila ajalin hum bālighūhu idhā hum yankuthūna

But every time We removed the penalty from them according to a fixed term which they had to fulfil,- Behold! they broke their word!

Sura al-Tawbah 9:12

وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ

wa-in nakathū aymānahum min baʿdi ʿahdihim wa-ṭaʿanū fī dīnikum fa-qātilū aʾimmata l-kufri innahum lā aymāna lahum la-ʿallahum yantahūna

But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and taunt you for your Faith,- fight ye the chiefs of Unfaith: for their oaths are nothing to them: that thus they may be restrained.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:13

أَلَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا۟ بِإِخْرَاجِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَٱللَّـهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

āla tuqātilūna qawman nakathū aymānahum wa-hammū bi-ikhrāji l-rasūli wa-hum badaʾūkum awwala marratin atakhshawnahum fallāhu aḥaqqu an takhshawhu in kuntum muʾminīna

Will ye not fight people who violated their oaths, plotted to expel the Messenger, and took the aggressive by being the first (to assault) you? Do ye fear them? Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe!

Sura al-Zukhruf 43:50

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

fa-lammā kashafnā ʿanhumu l-ʿadhāba idhā hum yankuthūna

But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word.

Sura al-Fatḥ 48:10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ ٱللَّـهَ يَدُ ٱللَّـهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِمَا عَٰهَدَ عَلَيْهُ ٱللَّـهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

inna lladhīna yubāyiʿūnaka innamā yubāyiʿūna allāha yadu allāhi fawqa aydīhim fa-man nakatha fa-innamā yankuthu ʿalā nafsihi wa-man awfā bi-mā ʿāhada ʿalayhu allāha fa-sa-yuʾtīhi ajran ʿaẓīman

Verily those who plight their fealty to thee do no less than plight their fealty to Allah: the Hand of Allah is over their hands: then any one who violates his oath, does so to the harm of his own soul, and any one who fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah,- Allah will soon grant him a great Reward.
