Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:196)

وَأَتِمُّوا۟  ٱلْحَجَّ  وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ  لِلَّـهِ  فَإِنْ  أُحْصِرْتُمْ  فَمَا  ٱسْتَيْسَرَ  مِنَ  ٱلْهَدْىِ  وَلَا  تَحْلِقُوا۟  رُءُوسَكُمْ  حَتَّىٰ  يَبْلُغَ  ٱلْهَدْىُ  مَحِلَّهُۥ  فَمَن  كَانَ  مِنكُم  مَّرِيضًا  أَوْ  بِهِۦٓ  أَذًى  مِّن  رَّأْسِهِۦ  فَفِدْيَةٌ  مِّن  صِيَامٍ  أَوْ  صَدَقَةٍ  أَوْ  نُسُكٍ  فَإِذَآ  أَمِنتُمْ  فَمَن  تَمَتَّعَ  بِٱلْعُمْرَةِ  إِلَى  ٱلْحَجِّ  فَمَا  ٱسْتَيْسَرَ  مِنَ  ٱلْهَدْىِ  فَمَن  لَّمْ  يَجِدْ  فَصِيَامُ  ثَلَٰثَةِ  أَيَّامٍ  فِى  ٱلْحَجِّ  وَسَبْعَةٍ  إِذَا  رَجَعْتُمْ  تِلْكَ  عَشَرَةٌ  كَامِلَةٌ  ذَٰلِكَ  لِمَن  لَّمْ  يَكُنْ  أَهْلُهُۥ  حَاضِرِى  ٱلْمَسْجِدِ  ٱلْحَرَامِ  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  شَدِيدُ  ٱلْعِقَابِ wa‑atimmū l‑ḥajja wa‑l‑ʿumrata lillāhi fa‑in uḥṣirtum fa‑mā staysara mina l‑hadi wa‑lā taḥliqū ruʾūsakum ḥattā yablugha l‑hadu maḥillahu fa‑man kāna minkum marīḍan aw bihi adhan min rrasihi fa‑fidyatun min ṣiyāmin aw ṣadaqatin aw nusukin fa‑idhā amintum fa‑man tamattaʿa bil‑ʿumrati ilā l‑ḥajji fa‑mā staysara mina l‑hadi fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu thalāthati ayyāmin l‑ḥajji wa‑sabʿatin idhā rajaʿtum tilka ʿasharatun kāmilatun dhālika li‑man lam yakun ahluhu ḥāḍirī l‑masjidi l‑ḥarāmi wattaqū allāha wa‑iʿlamū annā allāha shadīdu l‑ʿiqābi
And complete the Hajj or 'umra in the service of Allah. But if ye are prevented (From completing it), send an offering for sacrifice, such as ye may find, and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or feed the poor, or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again), if any one wishes to continue the 'umra on to the hajj, He must make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that Allah Is strict in punishment.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:30)

يَوْمَ  تَجِدُ  كُلُّ  نَفْسٍ  مَّا  عَمِلَتْ  مِنْ  خَيْرٍ  مُّحْضَرًا  وَمَا  عَمِلَتْ  مِن  سُوٓءٍ  تَوَدُّ  لَوْ  أَنَّ  بَيْنَهَا  وَبَيْنَهُۥٓ  أَمَدًۢا  بَعِيدًا  وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  نَفْسَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  رَءُوفٌۢ  بِٱلْعِبَادِ yawma tajidu kullu nafsin ʿamilat min khayrin muḥḍaran wa‑mā ʿamilat min sūʾin tawaddu law annā baynahā wa‑baynahu amadan baʿīdan wa‑yuḥadhdhirukumu allāhu nafsahu wallāhu raʾūfun bil‑ʿibādi
"On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him."
(3:37)

Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:64)

وَمَآ  أَرْسَلْنَا  مِن  رَّسُولٍ  إِلَّا  لِيُطَاعَ  بِإِذْنِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلَوْ  أَنَّهُمْ  إِذ  ظَّلَمُوٓا۟  أَنفُسَهُمْ  جَآءُوكَ  فَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱسْتَغْفَرَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلرَّسُولُ  لَوَجَدُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  تَوَّابًا  رَّحِيمًا wa‑mā arsalnā min rrasūlin illā li‑yuṭāʿa bi‑idhni allāhi wa‑law annahum idh ẓalamū anfusahum jāʾūka fa‑astaghfarū allāha wa‑astaghfara lahumu l‑rasūlu la‑wajadū allāha tawwāban raḥīman
We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.
(4:65)

But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.
(4:82)

أَفَلَا  يَتَدَبَّرُونَ  ٱلْقُرْءَانَ  وَلَوْ  كَانَ  مِنْ  عِندِ  غَيْرِ  ٱللَّـهِ  لَوَجَدُوا۟  فِيهِ  ٱخْتِلَٰفًا  كَثِيرًا a‑fa‑lā yatadabbarūna l‑qurʾāna wa‑law kāna min ʿindi ghayri allāhi la‑wajadū fīhi ikhtilāfan kathīran
Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.
(4:92)

Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom.
(4:100)

He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah, finds in the earth Many a refuge, wide and spacious: Should he die as a refugee from home for Allah and His Messenger, His reward becomes due and sure with Allah: And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(4:110)

They (his dupes) will have their dwelling in Hell, and from it they will find no way of escape.

Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can prevail): whoever works evil, will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find, besides Allah, any protector or helper.
(4:173)

But to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, He will give their (due) rewards,- and more, out of His bounty: But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish with a grievous penalty; Nor will they find, besides Allah, any to protect or help them.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:89)

لَا  يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِٱللَّغْوِ  فِىٓ  أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  يُؤَاخِذُكُم  بِمَا  عَقَّدتُّمُ  ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ  فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ  إِطْعَامُ  عَشَرَةِ  مَسَٰكِينَ  مِنْ  أَوْسَطِ  مَا  تُطْعِمُونَ  أَهْلِيكُمْ  أَوْ  كِسْوَتُهُمْ  أَوْ  تَحْرِيرُ  رَقَبَةٍ  فَمَن  لَّمْ  يَجِدْ  فَصِيَامُ  ثَلَٰثَةِ  أَيَّامٍ  ذَٰلِكَ  كَفَّٰرَةُ  أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ  إِذَا  حَلَفْتُمْ  وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟  أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ  كَذَٰلِكَ  يُبَيِّنُ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَكُمْ  ءَايَٰتِهِۦ  لَعَلَّكُمْ  تَشْكُرُونَ yuʾākhidhukumu allāhu bil‑laghwi aymānikum wa‑lākin yuākhidhukum bi‑mā ʿaqqadttumu l‑aymāna fakaffāratuhu iṭʿāmu ʿasharati masākīna min awsaṭi tuṭʿimūna ahlīkum aw kiswatuhum aw taḥrīru raqabatin fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu thalāthati ayyāmin dhālika kaffāratu aymānikum idhā ḥalaftum waḥfaẓū aymānakum ka‑dhālika yubayyinu allāhu la‑kum āyātihi la‑ʿallakum tashkurūna
Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:157)

"Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:57)

لَوْ  يَجِدُونَ  مَلْجَـًٔا  أَوْ  مَغَٰرَٰتٍ  أَوْ  مُدَّخَلًا  لَّوَلَّوْا۟  إِلَيْهِ  وَهُمْ  يَجْمَحُونَ law yajidūna maljaʾan aw maghārātin aw muddakhalan llawallaw ilayhi wa‑hum yajmaḥūna

Those who slander such of the believers as give themselves freely to (deeds of) charity, as well as such as can find nothing to give except the fruits of their labour,- and throw ridicule on them,- Allah will throw back their ridicule on them: and they shall have a grievous penalty.
(9:91)

There is no blame on those who are infirm, or ill, or who find no resources to spend (on the cause), if they are sincere (in duty) to Allah and His Messenger: no ground (of complaint) can there be against such as do right: and Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mounts, and when thou saidst, "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses.

Then when they opened their baggage, they found their stock-in-trade had been returned to them. They said: "O our father! They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it is we punish the wrong-doers!"

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:49)

وَوُضِعَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبُ  فَتَرَى  ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ  مُشْفِقِينَ  مِمَّا  فِيهِ  وَيَقُولُونَ  يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا  مَالِ  هَٰذَا  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  لَا  يُغَادِرُ  صَغِيرَةً  وَلَا  كَبِيرَةً  إِلَّآ  أَحْصَىٰهَا  وَوَجَدُوا۟  مَا  عَمِلُوا۟  حَاضِرًا  وَلَا  يَظْلِمُ  رَبُّكَ  أَحَدًا wa‑wuḍiʿa l‑kitābu fatarā l‑mujrimīna mushfiqīna mimmā fīhi wa‑yaqūlūna yā‑waylatanā māli hādhā l‑kitābi yughādiru ṣaghīratan wa‑lā kabīratan illā aḥṣahā wa‑wajadū ʿamilū ḥāḍiran wa‑lā yaẓlimu rabbuka aḥadan
And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, "Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof!" They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice.
(18:53)

And the Sinful shall see the fire and apprehend that they have to fall therein: no means will they find to turn away therefrom.
(18:58)

But your Lord is Most forgiving, full of Mercy. If He were to call them (at once) to account for what they have earned, then surely He would have hastened their punishment: but they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no refuge.
(18:65)

So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.
(18:77)

فَٱنطَلَقَا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَآ  أَتَيَآ  أَهْلَ  قَرْيَةٍ  ٱسْتَطْعَمَآ  أَهْلَهَا  فَأَبَوْا۟  أَن  يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا  فَوَجَدَا  فِيهَا  جِدَارًا  يُرِيدُ  أَن  يَنقَضَّ  فَأَقَامَهُۥ  قَالَ  لَوْ  شِئْتَ  لَتَّخَذْتَ  عَلَيْهِ  أَجْرًا fa‑inṭalaqā ḥatta idhā atayā ahla qaryatin astaṭʿamā ahlahā faabaw an yuḍayyifūhumā fa‑wajadā fīhā jidāran yurīdu an yanqaḍḍa faaqāmahu qalā law shiʾta lattakhadhta ʿalayhi ajran
Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!"
(18:86)

حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  بَلَغَ  مَغْرِبَ  ٱلشَّمْسِ  وَجَدَهَا  تَغْرُبُ  فِى  عَيْنٍ  حَمِئَةٍ  وَوَجَدَ  عِندَهَا  قَوْمًا  قُلْنَا  يَٰذَا  ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ  إِمَّآ  أَن  تُعَذِّبَ  وَإِمَّآ  أَن  تَتَّخِذَ  فِيهِمْ  حُسْنًا ḥatta idhā balagha maghriba l‑shamsi wajadahā taghrubu ʿaynin ḥamiʾatin wa‑wajada ʿindahā qawman qulnā yādhā l‑qarnayni immā an tuʿadhdhiba waimmā an tattakhidha fīhim ḥusnan
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."
(18:90)

حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  بَلَغَ  مَطْلِعَ  ٱلشَّمْسِ  وَجَدَهَا  تَطْلُعُ  عَلَىٰ  قَوْمٍ  لَّمْ  نَجْعَل  لَّهُم  مِّن  دُونِهَا  سِتْرًا ḥatta idhā balagha maṭliʿa l‑shamsi wajadahā taṭluʿu ʿalā qawmin lam najʿal lahum min dūnihā sitran
Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun.
(18:93)

Until, when he reached (a tract) between two mountains, he found, beneath them, a people who scarcely understood a word.

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:33)

وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  لَا  يَجِدُونَ  نِكَاحًا  حَتَّىٰ  يُغْنِيَهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  مِن  فَضْلِهِۦ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  يَبْتَغُونَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  مِمَّا  مَلَكَتْ  أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ  فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ  إِنْ  عَلِمْتُمْ  فِيهِمْ  خَيْرًا  وَءَاتُوهُم  مِّن  مَّالِ  ٱللَّـهِ  ٱلَّذِىٓ  ءَاتَىٰكُمْ  وَلَا  تُكْرِهُوا۟  فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ  عَلَى  ٱلْبِغَآءِ  إِنْ  أَرَدْنَ  تَحَصُّنًا  لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟  عَرَضَ  ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَمَن  يُكْرِههُّنَّ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ wa‑l‑yastaʿfifi lladhīna yajidūna nikāḥan ḥattā yughniyahumu allāhu min faḍlihi wa‑lladhīna yabtaghūna l‑kitāba mimmā malakat aymānukum fa‑kātibūhum in ʿalimtum fīhim khayran wa‑ātūhum min māli allāhi alladhī ātakum wa‑lā tukrihū fatayātikum ʿalā l‑bighāʾi in aradna taḥaṣṣunan li‑tabtaghū ʿaraḍa l‑ḥayāti l‑dunyā wa‑man yukrihhhunna fa‑inna allāha min baʿdi ikrāhihinna ghafūrun raḥīmun
Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which Allah has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),
(24:39)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوٓا۟  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  كَسَرَابٍۭ  بِقِيعَةٍ  يَحْسَبُهُ  ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ  مَآءً  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  جَآءَهُۥ  لَمْ  يَجِدْهُ  شَيْـًٔا  وَوَجَدَ  ٱللَّـهَ  عِندَهُۥ  فَوَفَّىٰهُ  حِسَابَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  سَرِيعُ  ٱلْحِسَابِ wa‑lladhīna kafarū aʿmāluhum kasarābin biqīʿatin yaḥsabuhu l‑ẓamānu māʾan ḥatta idhā jāʾahu lam yajidhu shayʾan wa‑wajada allāha ʿindahu fa‑waffāhu ḥisābahu wallāhu sarīʿu l‑ḥisābi
But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account.

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:15)

And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!"
(28:23)

And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man."

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:17)

قُلْ  مَن  ذَا  ٱلَّذِى  يَعْصِمُكُم  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِنْ  أَرَادَ  بِكُمْ  سُوٓءًا  أَوْ  أَرَادَ  بِكُمْ  رَحْمَةً  وَلَا  يَجِدُونَ  لَهُم  مِّن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلِيًّا  وَلَا  نَصِيرًا qul man dhā alladhī yaʿṣimukum mina allāhi in arāda bikum sūʾan aw arāda bikum raḥmatan wa‑lā yajidūna lahum min dūni allāhi waliyyan wa‑lā naṣīran
Say: "Who is it that can screen you from Allah if it be His wish to give you punishment or to give you Mercy?" Nor will they find for themselves, besides Allah, any protector or helper.
(33:65)

To dwell therein for ever: no protector will they find, nor helper.

Surah 48 al-Fatḥ (The Victory)
(48:22)

If the Unbelievers should fight you, they would certainly turn their backs; then would they find neither protector nor helper.

Surah 58 al-Mujādilah (She Who Pleaded)
(58:4)

فَمَن  لَّمْ  يَجِدْ  فَصِيَامُ  شَهْرَيْنِ  مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  يَتَمَآسَّا  فَمَن  لَّمْ  يَسْتَطِعْ  فَإِطْعَامُ  سِتِّينَ  مِسْكِينًا  ذَٰلِكَ  لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَرَسُولِهِۦ  وَتِلْكَ  حُدُودُ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu shahrayni mutatābiʿayni min qabli an yatamāssā fa‑man lam yastaṭiʿ faiṭʿāmu sittīna miskīnan dhālika lituminū billāhi wa‑rasūlihi wa‑tilka ḥudūdu allāhi wa‑lil‑kāfirīna ʿadhābun alīmun
And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.

Surah 59 al-Ḥashr (The Exile)
(59:9)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  تَبَوَّءُو  ٱلدَّارَ  وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  يُحِبُّونَ  مَنْ  هَاجَرَ  إِلَيْهِمْ  وَلَا  يَجِدُونَ  فِى  صُدُورِهِمْ  حَاجَةً  مِّمَّآ  أُوتُوا۟  وَيُؤْثِرُونَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِهِمْ  وَلَوْ  كَانَ  بِهِمْ  خَصَاصَةٌ  وَمَن  يُوقَ  شُحَّ  نَفْسِهِۦ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ wa‑lladhīna tabawwaū l‑dāra wa‑alīmāna min qablihim yuḥibbūna man hājara ilayhim wa‑lā yajidūna ṣudūrihim ḥājatan mimmā ūtū wa‑yuthirūna ʿala anfusihim wa‑law kāna bihim khaṣāṣatun wa‑man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑mufliḥūna
But those who before them, had homes (in Medina) and had adopted the Faith,- show their affection to such as came to them for refuge, and entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the (latter), but give them preference over themselves, even though poverty was their (own lot). And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.

Surah 71 Nūḥ (Noah)
(71:25)

Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.

Surah 72 al-Jinn (The Jinn)
(72:9)

وَأَنَّا  كُنَّا  نَقْعُدُ  مِنْهَا  مَقَٰعِدَ  لِلسَّمْعِ  فَمَن  يَسْتَمِعِ  ٱلْأَنَ  يَجِدْ  لَهُۥ  شِهَابًا  رَّصَدًا wa‑annā kunnā naqʿudu minhā maqāʿida lil‑samʿi fa‑man yastamiʿi l‑ana yajid lahu shihāban raṣadan
'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.

Surah 93 al-Ḍuḥā (The Early Hours)
(93:6)

أَلَمْ  يَجِدْكَ  يَتِيمًا  فَـَٔاوَىٰ a‑lam yajidka yatīman fa‑āwā
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?
(93:7)

And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
(93:8)

وَوَجَدَكَ  عَآئِلًا  فَأَغْنَىٰ wa‑wajadaka ʿāʾilan fa‑aghnā
And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.
