(2:96) | وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٍ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ وَٱللَّـهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | wa‑la‑tajidannahum aḥraṣa l‑nāsi ʿalā ḥayāwtin wa‑mina lladhīna ashrakū yawaddu aḥaduhum law yuʿammaru alfa sanatin wa‑mā huwa bi‑muzaḥziḥihi mina l‑ʿadhābi an yuʿammara wallāhu baṣīrun bi‑mā yaʿmalūna | Thou wilt indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of
life,-even more than the idolaters: Each one of them wishes He could be
given a life of a thousand years: But the grant of such life will not save
him from (due) punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do.

(2:196) | وَأَتِمُّوا۟ ٱلْحَجَّ وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّـهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْهَدْىِ وَلَا تَحْلِقُوا۟ رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُۥ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِۦٓ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِۦ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَآ أَمِنتُمْ فَمَن تَمَتَّعَ بِٱلْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى ٱلْحَجِّ فَمَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْهَدْىِ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِى ٱلْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُۥ حَاضِرِى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ | wa‑atimmū l‑ḥajja wa‑l‑ʿumrata lillāhi fa‑in uḥṣirtum fa‑mā staysara mina l‑hadi wa‑lā taḥliqū ruʾūsakum ḥattā yablugha l‑hadu maḥillahu fa‑man kāna minkum marīḍan aw bihi adhan min rrasihi fa‑fidyatun min ṣiyāmin aw ṣadaqatin aw nusukin fa‑idhā amintum fa‑man tamattaʿa bil‑ʿumrati ilā l‑ḥajji fa‑mā staysara mina l‑hadi fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu thalāthati ayyāmin fī l‑ḥajji wa‑sabʿatin idhā rajaʿtum tilka ʿasharatun kāmilatun dhālika li‑man lam yakun ahluhu ḥāḍirī l‑masjidi l‑ḥarāmi wattaqū allāha wa‑iʿlamū annā allāha shadīdu l‑ʿiqābi | And complete the Hajj or 'umra in the service of Allah. But if
ye are prevented (From completing it), send an offering for sacrifice, such
as ye may find, and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the
place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his
scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or
feed the poor, or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions
(again), if any one wishes to continue the 'umra on to the hajj, He must
make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He
should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making
ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts
of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that Allah Is strict in
punishment.

(3:30) | يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُّحْضَرًا وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِن سُوٓءٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُۥٓ أَمَدًۢا بَعِيدًا وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ نَفْسَهُۥ وَٱللَّـهُ رَءُوفٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ | yawma tajidu kullu nafsin mā ʿamilat min khayrin muḥḍaran wa‑mā ʿamilat min sūʾin tawaddu law annā baynahā wa‑baynahu amadan baʿīdan wa‑yuḥadhdhirukumu allāhu nafsahu wallāhu raʾūfun bil‑ʿibādi | "On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the
good it has done, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a
great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (To remember)
Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:30 يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُّحْضَرًا وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِن سُوٓءٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُۥٓ أَمَدًۢا بَعِيدًا وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ نَفْسَهُۥ وَٱللَّـهُ رَءُوفٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ yawma tajidu kullu nafsin mā ʿamilat min khayrin muḥḍaran wa-mā ʿamilat min sūʾin tawaddu law annā baynahā wa-baynahu amadan baʿīdan wa-yuḥadhdhirukumu allāhu nafsahu wallāhu raʾūfun bil-ʿibādi "On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself. And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him." |
(3:37) | فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ | fa‑taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi‑qabūlin ḥasanin wa‑anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa‑kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l‑miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā‑maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi‑ghayri ḥisābin | Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in
purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time
that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with
sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From
Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:37 فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا قَالَ يَٰمَرْيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ fa-taqabbalahā rabbuhā bi-qabūlin ḥasanin wa-anbatahā nabātan ḥasanan wa-kaffalahā zakariyyā kullamā dakhala ʿalayhā zakariyyā l-miḥrāba wajada ʿindahā rizqan qalā yā-maryamu annā laki hādhā qālat huwa min ʿindi allāhi inna allāha yarzuqu man yashāʾu bi-ghayri ḥisābin Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. (4:52) | أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَمَن يَلْعَنِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ نَصِيرًا | ulāʾika lladhīna laʿanahumu allāhu wa‑man yalʿani allāhu fa‑lan tajida lahu naṣīran | They are (men) whom Allah hath cursed: And those whom Allah Hath
cursed, thou wilt find, have no one to help.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:52 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَمَن يَلْعَنِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ نَصِيرًا ulāʾika lladhīna laʿanahumu allāhu wa-man yalʿani allāhu fa-lan tajida lahu naṣīran They are (men) whom Allah hath cursed: And those whom Allah Hath cursed, thou wilt find, have no one to help. |
(4:88) | فَمَا لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَٱللَّـهُ أَرْكَسَهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوٓا۟ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَهْدُوا۟ مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلًا | fa‑mā la‑kum fī l‑munāfiqīna fiʾatayni wallāhu arkasahum bi‑mā kasabū aturīdūna an tahdū man aḍalla allāhu wa‑man yuḍlili allāhu fa‑lan tajida lahu sabīlan | Why should ye be divided into two parties about the
Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide
those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown
out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:88 فَمَا لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَٱللَّـهُ أَرْكَسَهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوٓا۟ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَهْدُوا۟ مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلًا fa-mā la-kum fī l-munāfiqīna fiʾatayni wallāhu arkasahum bi-mā kasabū aturīdūna an tahdū man aḍalla allāhu wa-man yuḍlili allāhu fa-lan tajida lahu sabīlan Why should ye be divided into two parties about the Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way. |
(4:92) | وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَن يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَـًٔا وَمَن قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَـًٔا فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَصَّدَّقُوا۟ فَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍۭ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | wa‑mā kāna li‑muʾminin an yaqtula muʾminan illā khaṭaʾan wa‑man qatala muʾminan khaṭaʾan fa‑taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin wa‑diyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi illā an yaṣṣaddaqū fa‑in kāna min qawmin ʿadūwin la‑kum wa‑huwa muʾminun fa‑taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin wa‑in kāna min qawmin baynakum wa‑baynahum mīthāqun fadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi wa‑taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu shahrayni mutatābiʿayni tawbatan mina allāhi wa‑kāna allāhu ʿalīman ḥakīman | Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so
happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer,
it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation
to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased
belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of
a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have
treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a
believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is
prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for
Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:92 وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَن يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَـًٔا وَمَن قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَـًٔا فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَصَّدَّقُوا۟ فَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَإِن كَانَ مِن قَوْمٍۭ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا wa-mā kāna li-muʾminin an yaqtula muʾminan illā khaṭaʾan wa-man qatala muʾminan khaṭaʾan fa-taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin wa-diyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi illā an yaṣṣaddaqū fa-in kāna min qawmin ʿadūwin la-kum wa-huwa muʾminun fa-taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin wa-in kāna min qawmin baynakum wa-baynahum mīthāqun fadiyatun musallamatun ila ahlihi wa-taḥrīru raqabatin muʾminatin fa-man lam yajid fa-ṣiyāmu shahrayni mutatābiʿayni tawbatan mina allāhi wa-kāna allāhu ʿalīman ḥakīman Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah: for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom. |
(4:100) | وَمَن يُهَاجِرْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ يَجِدْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُرَٰغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً وَمَن يَخْرُجْ مِنۢ بَيْتِهِۦ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | wa‑man yuhājir fī sabīli allāhi yajid fī l‑arḍi murāghaman kathīran wa‑saʿatan wa‑man yakhruj min baytihi muhājiran ilā allāhi wa‑rasūlihi thumma yudrikhu l‑mawtu fa‑qad waqaʿa ajruhu ʿalā allāhi wa‑kāna allāhu ghafūran raḥīman | He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah, finds in the
earth Many a refuge, wide and spacious: Should he die as a refugee from
home for Allah and His Messenger, His reward becomes due and sure with Allah: And
Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:100 وَمَن يُهَاجِرْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ يَجِدْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُرَٰغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً وَمَن يَخْرُجْ مِنۢ بَيْتِهِۦ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا wa-man yuhājir fī sabīli allāhi yajid fī l-arḍi murāghaman kathīran wa-saʿatan wa-man yakhruj min baytihi muhājiran ilā allāhi wa-rasūlihi thumma yudrikhu l-mawtu fa-qad waqaʿa ajruhu ʿalā allāhi wa-kāna allāhu ghafūran raḥīman He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah, finds in the earth Many a refuge, wide and spacious: Should he die as a refugee from home for Allah and His Messenger, His reward becomes due and sure with Allah: And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(4:110) | وَمَن يَعْمَلْ سُوٓءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ ٱللَّـهَ يَجِدِ ٱللَّـهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | wa‑man yaʿmal sūʾan aw yaẓlim nafsahu thumma yastaghfiri allāha yajidi allāha ghafūran raḥīman | If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards
seeks Allah's forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

(4:123) | لَّيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوٓءًا يُجْزَ بِهِۦ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا | laysa bi‑amāniyyikum wa‑lā amāniyyi ahli l‑kitābi man yaʿmal sūʾan yujzā bihi wa‑lā yajid lahu min dūni allāhi waliyyan wa‑lā naṣīran | Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can
prevail): whoever works evil, will be requited accordingly. Nor will he
find, besides Allah, any protector or helper.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:123 لَّيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوٓءًا يُجْزَ بِهِۦ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا laysa bi-amāniyyikum wa-lā amāniyyi ahli l-kitābi man yaʿmal sūʾan yujzā bihi wa-lā yajid lahu min dūni allāhi waliyyan wa-lā naṣīran Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can prevail): whoever works evil, will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find, besides Allah, any protector or helper. |
(4:143) | مُّذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ لَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَلَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلًا | mudhabdhabīna bayna dhālika lā ilā hāʾulāʾi wa‑lā ilā hāʾulāʾi wa‑man yuḍlili allāhu fa‑lan tajida lahu sabīlan | (They are) distracted in mind even in the midst of it,- being
(sincerely) for neither one group nor for another whom Allah leaves
straying,- never wilt thou find for him the way.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:143 مُّذَبْذَبِينَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ لَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَلَآ إِلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّـهُ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ سَبِيلًا mudhabdhabīna bayna dhālika lā ilā hāʾulāʾi wa-lā ilā hāʾulāʾi wa-man yuḍlili allāhu fa-lan tajida lahu sabīlan (They are) distracted in mind even in the midst of it,- being (sincerely) for neither one group nor for another whom Allah leaves straying,- never wilt thou find for him the way. |
(4:145) | إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِى ٱلدَّرْكِ ٱلْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ نَصِيرًا | inna l‑munāfiqīna fī l‑darki l‑asfali mina l‑nāri wa‑lan tajida lahum naṣīran | The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no
helper wilt thou find for them;-
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:145 إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ فِى ٱلدَّرْكِ ٱلْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ نَصِيرًا inna l-munāfiqīna fī l-darki l-asfali mina l-nāri wa-lan tajida lahum naṣīran The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no helper wilt thou find for them;- |
(5:82) | لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | la‑tajidanna ashadda l‑nāsi ʿadāwatan li‑lladhīna āmanū l‑yahūda wa‑lladhīna ashrakū wa‑la‑tajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatan li‑lladhīna āmanū lladhīna qālū innā naṣārā dhālika bi‑anna minhum qissīsīna wa‑ruhbānan wa‑annahum lā yastakbirūna | Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find
the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt
thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men
devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not
arrogant.
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:82 لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ la-tajidanna ashadda l-nāsi ʿadāwatan li-lladhīna āmanū l-yahūda wa-lladhīna ashrakū wa-la-tajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatan li-lladhīna āmanū lladhīna qālū innā naṣārā dhālika bi-anna minhum qissīsīna wa-ruhbānan wa-annahum lā yastakbirūna Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. |
(5:89) | لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ | lā yuʾākhidhukumu allāhu bil‑laghwi fī aymānikum wa‑lākin yuākhidhukum bi‑mā ʿaqqadttumu l‑aymāna fakaffāratuhu iṭʿāmu ʿasharati masākīna min awsaṭi mā tuṭʿimūna ahlīkum aw kiswatuhum aw taḥrīru raqabatin fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu thalāthati ayyāmin dhālika kaffāratu aymānikum idhā ḥalaftum waḥfaẓū aymānakum ka‑dhālika yubayyinu allāhu la‑kum āyātihi la‑ʿallakum tashkurūna | Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your
oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for
expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the
food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that
is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the
oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to
you His signs, that ye may be grateful.
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:89 لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ lā yuʾākhidhukumu allāhu bil-laghwi fī aymānikum wa-lākin yuākhidhukum bi-mā ʿaqqadttumu l-aymāna fakaffāratuhu iṭʿāmu ʿasharati masākīna min awsaṭi mā tuṭʿimūna ahlīkum aw kiswatuhum aw taḥrīru raqabatin fa-man lam yajid fa-ṣiyāmu thalāthati ayyāmin dhālika kaffāratu aymānikum idhā ḥalaftum waḥfaẓū aymānakum ka-dhālika yubayyinu allāhu la-kum āyātihi la-ʿallakum tashkurūna Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. (6:145) | قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّـهِ بِهِۦ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | qul lā ajidu fī mā ūḥiya ilayya muḥarraman ʿalā ṭāʿimin yaṭʿamuhu illā an yakūna maytatan aw daman masfūḥan aw laḥma khinzīrin fa‑innahu rijsun aw fisqan uhilla li‑ghayri allāhi bihi fa‑mani iḍṭurra ghayra bāghin wa‑lā ʿādin fa‑inna rabbaka ghafūrun raḥīmun | Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration
any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be
dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an
abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked,
other than Allah's". But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity,
without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- thy Lord is
Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
Sura al-Anʿām 6:145 قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّـهِ بِهِۦ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ qul lā ajidu fī mā ūḥiya ilayya muḥarraman ʿalā ṭāʿimin yaṭʿamuhu illā an yakūna maytatan aw daman masfūḥan aw laḥma khinzīrin fa-innahu rijsun aw fisqan uhilla li-ghayri allāhi bihi fa-mani iḍṭurra ghayra bāghin wa-lā ʿādin fa-inna rabbaka ghafūrun raḥīmun Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah's". (7:17) | ثُمَّ لَءَاتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَٰكِرِينَ | thumma la‑ātiyannahum min bayni aydīhim wa‑min khalfihim wa‑ʿan aymānihim wa‑ʿan shamāʾilihim wa‑lā tajidu aktharahum shākirīna | "Then will I assault them from before them and behind them,
from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them,
gratitude (for thy mercies)."
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:17 ثُمَّ لَءَاتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَٰكِرِينَ thumma la-ātiyannahum min bayni aydīhim wa-min khalfihim wa-ʿan aymānihim wa-ʿan shamāʾilihim wa-lā tajidu aktharahum shākirīna "Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies)." |
(9:92) | وَلَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا مَآ أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَآ أَجِدُ مَآ أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوا۟ وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا۟ مَا يُنفِقُونَ | wa‑lā ʿalā lladhīna idhā mā atawka li‑taḥmilahum qulta lā ajidu mā aḥmilukum ʿalayhi tawallaw wwa‑aʿyunuhum tafīḍu mina l‑damʿi ḥazanan allā yajidū mā yunfiqūna | Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided
with mounts, and when thou saidst, "I can find no mounts for you," they
turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no
resources wherewith to provide the expenses.
Sura al-Tawbah 9:92 وَلَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا مَآ أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَآ أَجِدُ مَآ أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوا۟ وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا۟ مَا يُنفِقُونَ wa-lā ʿalā lladhīna idhā mā atawka li-taḥmilahum qulta lā ajidu mā aḥmilukum ʿalayhi tawallaw wwa-aʿyunuhum tafīḍu mina l-damʿi ḥazanan allā yajidū mā yunfiqūna Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mounts, and when thou saidst, "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses. |
(12:75) | قَالُوا۟ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ مَن وُجِدَ فِى رَحْلِهِۦ فَهُوَ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ | qālū jazāuhu man wujida fī raḥlihi fa‑huwa jazāuhu ka‑dhālika najzī l‑ẓālimīna | They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag
it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it
is we punish the wrong-doers!"
Sura Yūsuf 12:75 قَالُوا۟ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ مَن وُجِدَ فِى رَحْلِهِۦ فَهُوَ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ qālū jazāuhu man wujida fī raḥlihi fa-huwa jazāuhu ka-dhālika najzī l-ẓālimīna They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it is we punish the wrong-doers!" |
(12:94) | وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ ٱلْعِيرُ قَالَ أَبُوهُمْ إِنِّى لَأَجِدُ رِيحَ يُوسُفَ لَوْلَآ أَن تُفَنِّدُونِ | wa‑lammā faṣalati l‑ʿīru qalā abūhum innī la‑ajidu rīḥa yūsufa lawlā an tufannidūni | When the caravan left (Egypt), their father said: "I do indeed
scent the presence of Joseph: Nay, think me not a dotard."
Sura Yūsuf 12:94 وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ ٱلْعِيرُ قَالَ أَبُوهُمْ إِنِّى لَأَجِدُ رِيحَ يُوسُفَ لَوْلَآ أَن تُفَنِّدُونِ wa-lammā faṣalati l-ʿīru qalā abūhum innī la-ajidu rīḥa yūsufa lawlā an tufannidūni When the caravan left (Egypt), their father said: "I do indeed scent the presence of Joseph: Nay, think me not a dotard." |
(17:75) | إِذًا لَّأَذَقْنَٰكَ ضِعْفَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ وَضِعْفَ ٱلْمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيْنَا نَصِيرًا | idhan la‑adhaqnāka ḍiʿfa l‑ḥayāti wa‑ḍiʿfa l‑mamāti thumma lā tajidu la‑ka ʿalaynā naṣīran | In that case We should have made thee taste an equal portion
(of punishment) in this life, and an equal portion in death: and moreover
thou wouldst have found none to help thee against Us!
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:75 إِذًا لَّأَذَقْنَٰكَ ضِعْفَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ وَضِعْفَ ٱلْمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيْنَا نَصِيرًا idhan la-adhaqnāka ḍiʿfa l-ḥayāti wa-ḍiʿfa l-mamāti thumma lā tajidu la-ka ʿalaynā naṣīran In that case We should have made thee taste an equal portion (of punishment) in this life, and an equal portion in death: and moreover thou wouldst have found none to help thee against Us! |
(17:77) | سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا | sunnata man qad arsalnā qablaka min rusulinā wa‑lā tajidu li‑sunnatinā taḥwīlan | (This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou
wilt find no change in Our ways.
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:77 سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا sunnata man qad arsalnā qablaka min rusulinā wa-lā tajidu li-sunnatinā taḥwīlan (This was Our) way with the messengers We sent before thee: thou wilt find no change in Our ways. |
(17:86) | وَلَئِن شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِۦ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا | wa‑laʾin shiʾnā lanadhhabanna bi‑lladhī awḥaynā ilayka thumma lā tajidu la‑ka bihi ʿalaynā wakīlan | If it were Our Will, We could take away that which We have
sent thee by inspiration:then wouldst thou find none to plead thy affair in
that matter as against Us,-
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:86 وَلَئِن شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِۦ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا wa-laʾin shiʾnā lanadhhabanna bi-lladhī awḥaynā ilayka thumma lā tajidu la-ka bihi ʿalaynā wakīlan If it were Our Will, We could take away that which We have sent thee by inspiration:then wouldst thou find none to plead thy affair in that matter as against Us,- |
(17:97) | وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّـهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِهِۦ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا مَّأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَٰهُمْ سَعِيرًا | wa‑man yahdi allāhu fa‑huwa l‑muhtadi wa‑man yuḍlil fa‑lan tajida lahum awliyāʾa min dūnihi wa‑naḥshuruhum yawma l‑qiyāmati ʿalā wujūhihim ʿumyan wa‑bukman wa‑ṣumman maʾwāhum jahannamu kullamā khabat zidnāhum saʿīran | It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he
whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him.
On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their
faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows
abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire.
Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:97 وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّـهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِهِۦ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا مَّأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَٰهُمْ سَعِيرًا wa-man yahdi allāhu fa-huwa l-muhtadi wa-man yuḍlil fa-lan tajida lahum awliyāʾa min dūnihi wa-naḥshuruhum yawma l-qiyāmati ʿalā wujūhihim ʿumyan wa-bukman wa-ṣumman maʾwāhum jahannamu kullamā khabat zidnāhum saʿīran It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him. On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire. |
(18:17) | وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَٰوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِى فَجْوَةٍ مِّنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ مَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّـهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا | wa‑tara l‑shamsa idhā ṭalaʿat ttazāwaru ʿan kahfihim dhāta l‑yamīni wa‑idhā gharabat ttaqriḍuhum dhāta l‑shimāli wa‑hum fī fajwatin minhu dhālika min āyāti allāhi man yahdi allāhu fa‑huwa l‑muhtadi wa‑man yuḍlil fa‑lan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan | Thou wouldst have seen the sun, when it rose, declining to the
right from their Cave, and when it set, turning away from them to the left,
while they lay in the open space in the midst of the Cave. Such are among
the Signs of Allah: He whom Allah, guides is rightly guided; but he whom Allah
leaves to stray,- for him wilt thou find no protector to lead him to the
Right Way.
Sura al-Kahf 18:17 وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَٰوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِى فَجْوَةٍ مِّنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ مَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّـهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا wa-tara l-shamsa idhā ṭalaʿat ttazāwaru ʿan kahfihim dhāta l-yamīni wa-idhā gharabat ttaqriḍuhum dhāta l-shimāli wa-hum fī fajwatin minhu dhālika min āyāti allāhi man yahdi allāhu fa-huwa l-muhtadi wa-man yuḍlil fa-lan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan Thou wouldst have seen the sun, when it rose, declining to the right from their Cave, and when it set, turning away from them to the left, while they lay in the open space in the midst of the Cave. Sura al-Kahf 18:27 وَٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَن تَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا wa-itlu mā ūḥiya ilayka min kitābi rabbika lā mubaddila li-kalimātihi wa-lan tajida min dūnihi multaḥadan And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him. |
(18:36) | وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًا | wa‑mā aẓunnu l‑sāʿata qāʾimatan wa‑laʾin rrudidttu ilā rabbī laajidanna khayran minhā munqalaban | "Nor do I deem that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) come:
Even if I am brought back to my Lord, I shall surely find (there) something
better in exchange."
Sura al-Kahf 18:36 وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًا wa-mā aẓunnu l-sāʿata qāʾimatan wa-laʾin rrudidttu ilā rabbī laajidanna khayran minhā munqalaban "Nor do I deem that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) come: Even if I am brought back to my Lord, I shall surely find (there) something better in exchange." |
(18:69) | قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ صَابِرًا وَلَآ أَعْصِى لَكَ أَمْرًا | qalā sa‑tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu ṣābiran wa‑lā aʿṣī la‑ka amran | Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly)
patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught."
Sura al-Kahf 18:69 قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ صَابِرًا وَلَآ أَعْصِى لَكَ أَمْرًا qalā sa-tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu ṣābiran wa-lā aʿṣī la-ka amran Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." |
(18:86) | حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا | ḥatta idhā balagha maghriba l‑shamsi wajadahā taghrubu fī ʿaynin ḥamiʾatin wa‑wajada ʿindahā qawman qulnā yādhā l‑qarnayni immā an tuʿadhdhiba waimmā an tattakhidha fīhim ḥusnan | Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set
in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O
Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them
with kindness."
Sura al-Kahf 18:86 حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا ḥatta idhā balagha maghriba l-shamsi wajadahā taghrubu fī ʿaynin ḥamiʾatin wa-wajada ʿindahā qawman qulnā yādhā l-qarnayni immā an tuʿadhdhiba waimmā an tattakhidha fīhim ḥusnan Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness." |
(18:90) | حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًا | ḥatta idhā balagha maṭliʿa l‑shamsi wajadahā taṭluʿu ʿalā qawmin lam najʿal lahum min dūnihā sitran | Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it
rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against
the sun.
Sura al-Kahf 18:90 حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًا ḥatta idhā balagha maṭliʿa l-shamsi wajadahā taṭluʿu ʿalā qawmin lam najʿal lahum min dūnihā sitran Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun. |
(18:93) | حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا | ḥatta idhā balagha bayna l‑saddayni wajada min dūnihimā qawman lā yakādūna yafqahūna qawlan | Until, when he reached (a tract) between two mountains, he
found, beneath them, a people who scarcely understood a word.
Sura al-Kahf 18:93 حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا ḥatta idhā balagha bayna l-saddayni wajada min dūnihimā qawman lā yakādūna yafqahūna qawlan Until, when he reached (a tract) between two mountains, he found, beneath them, a people who scarcely understood a word. |
(20:10) | إِذْ رَءَا نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًى | idh raʾā nāran fa‑qāla li‑ahlihi imkuthū innī ānastu nāran laʿallī ātīkum minhā bi‑qabasin aw ajidu ʿalā l‑nāri hudan | Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I
perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or
find some guidance at the fire."
Sura Ṭā Hā 20:10 إِذْ رَءَا نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًى idh raʾā nāran fa-qāla li-ahlihi imkuthū innī ānastu nāran laʿallī ātīkum minhā bi-qabasin aw ajidu ʿalā l-nāri hudan Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." |
(24:39) | وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۭ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّـهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥ وَٱللَّـهُ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ | wa‑lladhīna kafarū aʿmāluhum kasarābin biqīʿatin yaḥsabuhu l‑ẓamānu māʾan ḥatta idhā jāʾahu lam yajidhu shayʾan wa‑wajada allāha ʿindahu fa‑waffāhu ḥisābahu wallāhu sarīʿu l‑ḥisābi | But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy
deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when
he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with
him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account.
Sura al-Nūr 24:39 وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍۭ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْـًٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّـهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥ وَٱللَّـهُ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ wa-lladhīna kafarū aʿmāluhum kasarābin biqīʿatin yaḥsabuhu l-ẓamānu māʾan ḥatta idhā jāʾahu lam yajidhu shayʾan wa-wajada allāha ʿindahu fa-waffāhu ḥisābahu wallāhu sarīʿu l-ḥisābi But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account. |
(27:23) | إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ | innī wajadttu imraʾatan tamlikuhum wa‑ūtiyat min kulli shayʾin wa‑lahā ʿarshun ʿaẓīmun | "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with
every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne.
Sura al-Naml 27:23 إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ innī wajadttu imraʾatan tamlikuhum wa-ūtiyat min kulli shayʾin wa-lahā ʿarshun ʿaẓīmun "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. |
(27:24) | وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ | wa‑jadttuhā wa‑qawmahā yasjudūna lil‑shamsi min dūni allāhi wa‑zayyana lahumu l‑shayṭānu aʿmālahum fa‑ṣaddahum ʿani l‑sabīli fa‑hum lā yahtadūna | "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah:
Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them
away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,-
Sura al-Naml 27:24 وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ wa-jadttuhā wa-qawmahā yasjudūna lil-shamsi min dūni allāhi wa-zayyana lahumu l-shayṭānu aʿmālahum fa-ṣaddahum ʿani l-sabīli fa-hum lā yahtadūna "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,- |
(28:15) | وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ ٱلَّذِى مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ عَلَى ٱلَّذِى مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ | wa‑dakhala l‑madīnata ʿalā ḥīni ghaflatin min ahlihā fa‑wajada fīhā rajulayni yaqtatilāni hādhā min shīʿatihi wa‑hādhā min ʿaduwwihi fa‑istaghāthahu alladhī min shīʿatihi ʿalā alladhī min ʿaduwwihi fa‑wakazahu mūsā fa‑qaḍa ʿalayhi qalā hādhā min ʿamali l‑shayṭāni innahu ʿaduwwun muḍillun mubīnun | And he entered the city at a time when its people were not
watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion,
and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him
against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him.
He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that
manifestly misleads!"
Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:15 وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ ٱلَّذِى مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ عَلَى ٱلَّذِى مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ wa-dakhala l-madīnata ʿalā ḥīni ghaflatin min ahlihā fa-wajada fīhā rajulayni yaqtatilāni hādhā min shīʿatihi wa-hādhā min ʿaduwwihi fa-istaghāthahu alladhī min shīʿatihi ʿalā alladhī min ʿaduwwihi fa-wakazahu mūsā fa-qaḍa ʿalayhi qalā hādhā min ʿamali l-shayṭāni innahu ʿaduwwun muḍillun mubīnun And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. (28:23) | وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِى حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ | wa‑lammā warada māa madyana wajada ʿalayhi ummatan mina l‑nāsi yasqūna wa‑wajada min dūnihimu mraatayni tadhūdāni qalā mā khaṭbukumā qālatā lā nasqī ḥattā yuṣdira l‑riʿāʾu wa‑abūnā shaykhun kabīrun | And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he
found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he
found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is
the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the
shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man."
Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:23 وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِى حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ wa-lammā warada māa madyana wajada ʿalayhi ummatan mina l-nāsi yasqūna wa-wajada min dūnihimu mraatayni tadhūdāni qalā mā khaṭbukumā qālatā lā nasqī ḥattā yuṣdira l-riʿāʾu wa-abūnā shaykhun kabīrun And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." |
(28:27) | قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ٱبْنَتَىَّ هَٰتَيْنِ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَأْجُرَنِى ثَمَٰنِىَ حِجَجٍ فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا فَمِنْ عِندِكَ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ | qalā innī urīdu an unkiḥaka iḥda bnataya hātayni ʿala an taʾjuranī thamāniya ḥijajin fa‑in atmamta ʿashran famin ʿindika wa‑mā urīdu an ashuqqa ʿalayka sa‑tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu mina l‑ṣāliḥīna | He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee,
on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten
years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a
difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the
righteous."
Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:27 قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ٱبْنَتَىَّ هَٰتَيْنِ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَأْجُرَنِى ثَمَٰنِىَ حِجَجٍ فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا فَمِنْ عِندِكَ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ qalā innī urīdu an unkiḥaka iḥda bnataya hātayni ʿala an taʾjuranī thamāniya ḥijajin fa-in atmamta ʿashran famin ʿindika wa-mā urīdu an ashuqqa ʿalayka sa-tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu mina l-ṣāliḥīna He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous." |
(33:62) | سُنَّةَ ٱللَّـهِ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا | sunnata allāhi fī lladhīna khalaw min qablu wa‑lan tajida li‑sunnati allāhi tabdīlan | (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who
lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of
Allah.
Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:62 سُنَّةَ ٱللَّـهِ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا sunnata allāhi fī lladhīna khalaw min qablu wa-lan tajida li-sunnati allāhi tabdīlan (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah. |
(35:43) | ٱسْتِكْبَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ ٱلسَّيِّئِ وَلَا يَحِيقُ ٱلْمَكْرُ ٱلسَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِۦ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّـهِ تَحْوِيلًا | istikbāran fī l‑arḍi wa‑makra l‑sayyiʾi wa‑lā yaḥīqu l‑makru l‑sayyiʾu illā biahlihi fa‑hal yanẓurūna illā sunnata l‑awwalīna fa‑lan tajida li‑sunnati allāhi tabdīlan wa‑lan tajida li‑sunnati allāhi taḥwīlan | On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting
of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now
are they but looking for the way the ancients were dealt with? But no
change wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing): no turning off wilt thou
find in Allah's way (of dealing).
Sura al-Faṭīr 35:43 ٱسْتِكْبَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ ٱلسَّيِّئِ وَلَا يَحِيقُ ٱلْمَكْرُ ٱلسَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِۦ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّـهِ تَحْوِيلًا istikbāran fī l-arḍi wa-makra l-sayyiʾi wa-lā yaḥīqu l-makru l-sayyiʾu illā biahlihi fa-hal yanẓurūna illā sunnata l-awwalīna fa-lan tajida li-sunnati allāhi tabdīlan wa-lan tajida li-sunnati allāhi taḥwīlan On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now are they but looking for the way the ancients were dealt with? But no change wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing): no turning off wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing). |
(37:102) | فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ | fa‑lammā balagha maʿahu l‑saʿya qalā yā‑bunayya innī ara fī l‑manāmi annī adhbaḥuka fa‑inẓur mādhā tara qalā yā‑abati ifʿal mā tuʾmaru sa‑tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu mina l‑ṣābirīna | Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with
him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice:
Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art
commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and
Constancy!"
Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:102 فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ fa-lammā balagha maʿahu l-saʿya qalā yā-bunayya innī ara fī l-manāmi annī adhbaḥuka fa-inẓur mādhā tara qalā yā-abati ifʿal mā tuʾmaru sa-tajidunī in shāʾa allāhu mina l-ṣābirīna Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" |
(48:23) | سُنَّةَ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلَّتِى قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا | sunnata allāhi allatī qad khalat min qablu wa‑lan tajida li‑sunnati allāhi tabdīlan | (Such has been) the practice (approved) of Allah already in the
past: no change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah.
Sura al-Fatḥ 48:23 سُنَّةَ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلَّتِى قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّـهِ تَبْدِيلًا sunnata allāhi allatī qad khalat min qablu wa-lan tajida li-sunnati allāhi tabdīlan (Such has been) the practice (approved) of Allah already in the past: no change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah. |
(58:4) | فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَتَمَآسَّا فَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَإِطْعَامُ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا ذَٰلِكَ لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّـهِ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | fa‑man lam yajid fa‑ṣiyāmu shahrayni mutatābiʿayni min qabli an yatamāssā fa‑man lam yastaṭiʿ faiṭʿāmu sittīna miskīnan dhālika lituminū billāhi wa‑rasūlihi wa‑tilka ḥudūdu allāhi wa‑lil‑kāfirīna ʿadhābun alīmun | And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two
months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to
do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your
faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who
reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.
Sura al-Mujādilah 58:4 فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَتَمَآسَّا فَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَإِطْعَامُ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا ذَٰلِكَ لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّـهِ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ fa-man lam yajid fa-ṣiyāmu shahrayni mutatābiʿayni min qabli an yatamāssā fa-man lam yastaṭiʿ faiṭʿāmu sittīna miskīnan dhālika lituminū billāhi wa-rasūlihi wa-tilka ḥudūdu allāhi wa-lil-kāfirīna ʿadhābun alīmun And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. (58:22) | لَّا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ يُوَآدُّونَ مَنْ حَآدَّ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَانُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَتَبَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ وَأَيَّدَهُم بِرُوحٍ مِّنْهُ وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا رَضِىَ ٱللَّـهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حِزْبُ ٱللَّـهِ أَلَآ إِنَّ حِزْبَ ٱللَّـهِ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ | lā tajidu qawman yuʾminūna billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri yūāddūna man ḥādda allāha wa‑rasūlahu wa‑law kānū ābāʾahum aw abnāʾahum aw ikhwānahum aw ʿashīratahum ulāʾika kataba fī qulūbihimu l‑īmāna wa‑ayyadahum birūḥin minhu wa‑yudkhiluhum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru khālidīna fīhā raḍīa allāhu ʿanhum wa‑raḍū ʿanhu ulāʾika ḥizbu allāhi āla inna ḥizba allāhi humu l‑mufliḥūna | Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last
Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were
their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such
He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit
from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,
to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they
with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that
will achieve Felicity.
Sura al-Mujādilah 58:22 لَّا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ يُوَآدُّونَ مَنْ حَآدَّ ٱللَّـهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَانُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَتَبَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ وَأَيَّدَهُم بِرُوحٍ مِّنْهُ وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا رَضِىَ ٱللَّـهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حِزْبُ ٱللَّـهِ أَلَآ إِنَّ حِزْبَ ٱللَّـهِ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ lā tajidu qawman yuʾminūna billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri yūāddūna man ḥādda allāha wa-rasūlahu wa-law kānū ābāʾahum aw abnāʾahum aw ikhwānahum aw ʿashīratahum ulāʾika kataba fī qulūbihimu l-īmāna wa-ayyadahum birūḥin minhu wa-yudkhiluhum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā raḍīa allāhu ʿanhum wa-raḍū ʿanhu ulāʾika ḥizbu allāhi āla inna ḥizba allāhi humu l-mufliḥūna Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. (72:9) | وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْأَنَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا | wa‑annā kunnā naqʿudu minhā maqāʿida lil‑samʿi fa‑man yastamiʿi l‑ana yajid lahu shihāban raṣadan | 'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to
(steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching
him in ambush.
Sura al-Jinn 72:9 وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْأَنَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا wa-annā kunnā naqʿudu minhā maqāʿida lil-samʿi fa-man yastamiʿi l-ana yajid lahu shihāban raṣadan 'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. |
(72:22) | قُلْ إِنِّى لَن يُجِيرَنِى مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا | qul innī lan yujīranī mina allāhi aḥadun wa‑lan ajida min dūnihi multaḥadan | Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey
Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him,
Sura al-Jinn 72:22 قُلْ إِنِّى لَن يُجِيرَنِى مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا qul innī lan yujīranī mina allāhi aḥadun wa-lan ajida min dūnihi multaḥadan Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him, |
(93:6) | أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ | a‑lam yajidka yatīman fa‑āwā | Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and
care)?
Sura al-Ḍuḥā 93:6 أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ a-lam yajidka yatīman fa-āwā Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? |
(93:7) | وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ | wa‑wajadaka ḍāllan fa‑hadā | And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
Sura al-Ḍuḥā 93:7 وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ wa-wajadaka ḍāllan fa-hadā And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. |
(93:8) | وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ | wa‑wajadaka ʿāʾilan fa‑aghnā | And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.
Sura al-Ḍuḥā 93:8 وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ wa-wajadaka ʿāʾilan fa-aghnā And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. |
