(4:11) | يُوصِيكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ فِىٓ أَوْلَٰدِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَٰحِدَةً فَلَهَا ٱلنِّصْفُ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلثُّلُثُ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُۥٓ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلسُّدُسُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | yūṣīkumu allāhu fī awlādikum lil‑dhakari mithlu ḥaẓẓi l‑unthayayni fa‑in kunna nisāʾan fawqa ithnatayni fa‑la‑hunna thuluthā mā taraka wa‑in kānat wāḥidatan fa‑lahā l‑niṣfu wa‑li‑abawayhi li‑kulli wāḥidin minhumā l‑sudusu mimmā taraka in kāna lahu waladun fa‑in lam yakun lahu waladun wa‑warithahu abawāhu fa‑li‑ummihi l‑thuluthu fa‑in kāna lahu ikhwatun fa‑li‑ummihi l‑sudusu min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣī bihā aw daynin ābāʾukum wa‑abnāʾukum lā tadrūna ayyuhum aqrabu la‑kum nafʿan farīḍatan mina allāhi inna allāha kāna ʿalīman ḥakīman | Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children's
(Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only
daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if
only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the
inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the
parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left
brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all
cases ('s) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether
your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are
settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Al-wise.

(4:12) | وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَٰجُكُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ ٱلثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَٰلَةً أَوِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ فَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِى ٱلثُّلُثِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَىٰ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍّ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ | wa‑lakum niṣfu mā taraka azwājukum in lam yakun lahunna waladun fa‑in kāna la‑hunna waladun falakumu l‑rubuʿu mimmā tarakna min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣīna bihā aw daynin wa‑lahunna l‑rubuʿu mimmā taraktum in lam yakun la‑kum waladun fa‑in kāna la‑kum waladun fa‑la‑hunna l‑thumunu mimmā taraktum min baʿdi waṣīyatin tūṣūna bihā aw daynin wa‑in kāna rajulun yūrathu kalālatan awi imraʾatun wa‑lahu akhun aw ukhtun falikulli wāḥidin minhumā l‑sudusu fa‑in kānū akthara min dhālika fa‑hum shurakāʾu fī l‑thuluthi min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣa bihā aw daynin ghayra muḍārrin waṣīyatan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥalīmun | In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave
no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of
legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth, if ye leave
no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of
legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question,
has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a
sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share
in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused
(to any one). Thus is it ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Most
Forbearing.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:12 وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَٰجُكُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ ٱلثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَٰلَةً أَوِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ فَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِى ٱلثُّلُثِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَىٰ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍّ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ wa-lakum niṣfu mā taraka azwājukum in lam yakun lahunna waladun fa-in kāna la-hunna waladun falakumu l-rubuʿu mimmā tarakna min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣīna bihā aw daynin wa-lahunna l-rubuʿu mimmā taraktum in lam yakun la-kum waladun fa-in kāna la-kum waladun fa-la-hunna l-thumunu mimmā taraktum min baʿdi waṣīyatin tūṣūna bihā aw daynin wa-in kāna rajulun yūrathu kalālatan awi imraʾatun wa-lahu akhun aw ukhtun falikulli wāḥidin minhumā l-sudusu fa-in kānū akthara min dhālika fa-hum shurakāʾu fī l-thuluthi min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣa bihā aw daynin ghayra muḍārrin waṣīyatan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥalīmun In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. (4:19) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ كَرْهًا وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا۟ بِبَعْضِ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَيَجْعَلَ ٱللَّـهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā yaḥillu la‑kum an tarithū l‑nisāʾa karhan wa‑lā taʿḍulūhunna li‑tadhhabū bi‑baʿḍi mā ātaytumūhunna illā an yaʾtīna bi‑fāḥishatin mubayyinatin waʿāshirūhunna bil‑maʿrūfi fa‑in karihtumūhunna fa‑ʿaṣā an takrahū shayʾan wa‑yajʿala allāhu fīhi khayran kathīran | O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against
their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away
part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of
open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and
equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and
Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:19 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ كَرْهًا وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا۟ بِبَعْضِ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَيَجْعَلَ ٱللَّـهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā yaḥillu la-kum an tarithū l-nisāʾa karhan wa-lā taʿḍulūhunna li-tadhhabū bi-baʿḍi mā ātaytumūhunna illā an yaʾtīna bi-fāḥishatin mubayyinatin waʿāshirūhunna bil-maʿrūfi fa-in karihtumūhunna fa-ʿaṣā an takrahū shayʾan wa-yajʿala allāhu fīhi khayran kathīran O ye who believe! (4:176) | يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ ٱللَّـهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِى ٱلْكَلَٰلَةِ إِنِ ٱمْرُؤٌا۟ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَتَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا ٱلثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۢ | yastaftūnaka quli allāhu yuftīkum fī l‑kalālati ini imrūʾun halaka laysa lahu waladun wa‑lahu ukhtun fa‑lahā niṣfu mā taraka wa‑huwa yarithuhā in lam yakun llahā waladun fa‑in kānatā ithnatayni falahumā l‑thuluthāni mimmā taraka wa‑in kānū ikhwatan rrijālan wa‑nisāan fa‑lil‑dhakari mithlu ḥaẓẓi l‑unthayayni yubayyinu allāhu la‑kum an taḍillū wallāhu bi‑kulli shayʾin ʿalīmun | They ask thee for a legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus)
about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If it is a man
that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have half the
inheritance: If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, Her
brother takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters, they shall have
two-thirds of the inheritance (between them): if there are brothers and
sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the female. Thus
doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge
of all things.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:176 يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ ٱللَّـهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِى ٱلْكَلَٰلَةِ إِنِ ٱمْرُؤٌا۟ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَتَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا ٱلثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۢ yastaftūnaka quli allāhu yuftīkum fī l-kalālati ini imrūʾun halaka laysa lahu waladun wa-lahu ukhtun fa-lahā niṣfu mā taraka wa-huwa yarithuhā in lam yakun llahā waladun fa-in kānatā ithnatayni falahumā l-thuluthāni mimmā taraka wa-in kānū ikhwatan rrijālan wa-nisāan fa-lil-dhakari mithlu ḥaẓẓi l-unthayayni yubayyinu allāhu la-kum an taḍillū wallāhu bi-kulli shayʾin ʿalīmun They ask thee for a legal decision. (7:100) | أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَآ أَن لَّوْ نَشَآءُ أَصَبْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ | a‑wa‑lam yahdi li‑lladhīna yarithūna l‑arḍa min baʿdi ahlihā an law nashāʾu aṣabnāhum bi‑dhunūbihim wa‑naṭbaʿu ʿalā qulūbihim fa‑hum lā yasmaʿūna | To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous)
possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could
punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they
could not hear?
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:100 أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَآ أَن لَّوْ نَشَآءُ أَصَبْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ a-wa-lam yahdi li-lladhīna yarithūna l-arḍa min baʿdi ahlihā an law nashāʾu aṣabnāhum bi-dhunūbihim wa-naṭbaʿu ʿalā qulūbihim fa-hum lā yasmaʿūna To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? |
(7:169) | فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَٰذَا ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِّثْلُهُۥ يَأْخُذُوهُ أَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِم مِّيثَٰقُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُوا۟ مَا فِيهِ وَٱلدَّارُ ٱلْأَخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ | fa‑khalafa min baʿdihim khalfun warithū l‑kitāba yakhudhūna ʿaraḍa hādhā l‑adnā wa‑yaqūlūna sa‑yughfaru la‑nā wa‑in yaʾtihim ʿaraḍun mithluhu yakhudhūhu a‑lam yukhadh ʿalayhim mīthāqu l‑kitābi an lā yaqūlū ʿalā allāhi illā l‑ḥaqqa wa‑darasū mā fīhi wa‑l‑dāru l‑akhiratu khayrun li‑lladhīna yattaqūna a‑fa‑lā taʿqilūna | After them succeeded an (evil) generation: They inherited the
Book, but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world, saying
(for excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so), if similar
vanities came their way, they would (again) seize them. Was not the
covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah
anything but the truth? and they study what is in the Book. But best for
the righteous is the home in the Hereafter. Will ye not understand?
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:169 فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَٰذَا ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِّثْلُهُۥ يَأْخُذُوهُ أَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِم مِّيثَٰقُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُوا۟ مَا فِيهِ وَٱلدَّارُ ٱلْأَخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ fa-khalafa min baʿdihim khalfun warithū l-kitāba yakhudhūna ʿaraḍa hādhā l-adnā wa-yaqūlūna sa-yughfaru la-nā wa-in yaʾtihim ʿaraḍun mithluhu yakhudhūhu a-lam yukhadh ʿalayhim mīthāqu l-kitābi an lā yaqūlū ʿalā allāhi illā l-ḥaqqa wa-darasū mā fīhi wa-l-dāru l-akhiratu khayrun li-lladhīna yattaqūna a-fa-lā taʿqilūna After them succeeded an (evil) generation: They inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world, saying (for excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so), if similar vanities came their way, they would (again) seize them. Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? and they study what is in the Book. But best for the righteous is the home in the Hereafter. Will ye not understand? |
(19:6) | يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا | yarithunī wa‑yarithu min āli yaʿqūba wa‑ajʿalhu rabbi raḍiyyan | "(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the
posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art
well-pleased!"
Sura Maryam 19:6 يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا yarithunī wa-yarithu min āli yaʿqūba wa-ajʿalhu rabbi raḍiyyan "(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!" |
(19:40) | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ | innā naḥnu narithu l‑arḍa wa‑man ʿalayhā wa‑ilaynā yurjaʿūna | It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon:
to Us will they all be returned.
Sura Maryam 19:40 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ innā naḥnu narithu l-arḍa wa-man ʿalayhā wa-ilaynā yurjaʿūna It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned. |
(19:80) | وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا | wa‑narithuhu mā yaqūlu wa‑yaʾtīnā fardan | To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear
before Us bare and alone.
Sura Maryam 19:80 وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا wa-narithuhu mā yaqūlu wa-yaʾtīnā fardan To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. |
(21:105) | وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ | wa‑la‑qad katabnā fī l‑zabūri min baʿdi l‑dhikri annā l‑arḍa yarithuhā ʿibādiya l‑ṣāliḥūna | Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given
to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth."
Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:105 وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ wa-la-qad katabnā fī l-zabūri min baʿdi l-dhikri annā l-arḍa yarithuhā ʿibādiya l-ṣāliḥūna Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth." |
(23:11) | ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ | lladhīna yarithūna l‑firdawsa hum fīhā khālidūna | Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for
ever).
Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:11 ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ lladhīna yarithūna l-firdawsa hum fīhā khālidūna Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). |
(27:16) | وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ | wa‑waritha sulaymānu dāwuda wa‑qāla yā‑ayyuhā l‑nāsu ʿullimnā manṭiqa l‑ṭayri wa‑ūtīnā min kulli shayʾin inna hādhā la‑huwa l‑faḍlu l‑mubīnu | And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have
been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of
all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"
Sura al-Naml 27:16 وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ wa-waritha sulaymānu dāwuda wa-qāla yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu ʿullimnā manṭiqa l-ṭayri wa-ūtīnā min kulli shayʾin inna hādhā la-huwa l-faḍlu l-mubīnu And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" |
