Sura al-Baqara 2:132

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَٰبَنِىَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

wa-waṣṣa bihā ibrāhīmu banīhi wa-yaʿqūbu yā-baniyya inna allāha iṣṭafā lakumu l-dīna fa-lā tamūtunna illā wa-antum muslimūna

And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam."

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:11

يُوصِيكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ فِىٓ أَوْلَٰدِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَٰحِدَةً فَلَهَا ٱلنِّصْفُ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلثُّلُثُ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُۥٓ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلسُّدُسُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا

yūṣīkumu allāhu fī awlādikum lil-dhakari mithlu ḥaẓẓi l-unthayayni fa-in kunna nisāʾan fawqa ithnatayni fa-la-hunna thuluthā mā taraka wa-in kānat wāḥidatan fa-lahā l-niṣfu wa-li-abawayhi li-kulli wāḥidin minhumā l-sudusu mimmā taraka in kāna lahu waladun fa-in lam yakun lahu waladun wa-warithahu abawāhu fa-li-ummihi l-thuluthu fa-in kāna lahu ikhwatun fa-li-ummihi l-sudusu min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣī bihā aw daynin ābāʾukum wa-abnāʾukum lā tadrūna ayyuhum aqrabu la-kum nafʿan farīḍatan mina allāhi inna allāha kāna ʿalīman ḥakīman

Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children's (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases ('s) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Al-wise.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:12

وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَٰجُكُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ ٱلرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ ٱلثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلَٰلَةً أَوِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ فَإِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِى ٱلثُّلُثِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَىٰ بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍّ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ

wa-lakum niṣfu mā taraka azwājukum in lam yakun lahunna waladun fa-in kāna la-hunna waladun falakumu l-rubuʿu mimmā tarakna min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣīna bihā aw daynin wa-lahunna l-rubuʿu mimmā taraktum in lam yakun la-kum waladun fa-in kāna la-kum waladun fa-la-hunna l-thumunu mimmā taraktum min baʿdi waṣīyatin tūṣūna bihā aw daynin wa-in kāna rajulun yūrathu kalālatan awi imraʾatun wa-lahu akhun aw ukhtun falikulli wāḥidin minhumā l-sudusu fa-in kānū akthara min dhālika fa-hum shurakāʾu fī l-thuluthi min baʿdi waṣīyatin yūṣa bihā aw daynin ghayra muḍārrin waṣīyatan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥalīmun

In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth, if ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question, has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused (to any one). Thus is it ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Most Forbearing.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:144

وَمِنَ ٱلْإِبِلِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱثْنَيْنِ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِهَٰذَا فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ كَذِبًا لِّيُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-mina l-ibili ithnayni wa-mina l-baqari ithnayni qul ā-l-dhakarayni ḥarrama ami l-unthayayni a-mā ishtamalat ʿalayhi arḥāmu l-unthayayni am kuntum shuhadāʾa idh waṣṣakumu allāhu bi-hādhā fa-man aẓlamu mimmani iftarā ʿalā allāhi kadhiban li-yuḍilla l-nāsa bi-ghayri ʿilmin inna allāha lā yahdī l-qawma l-ẓālimīna

Of camels a pair, and oxen a pair; say, hath He forbidden the two males, or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? - Were ye present when Allah ordered you such a thing? But who doth more wrong than one who invents a lie against Allah, to lead astray men without knowledge? For Allah guideth not people who do wrong.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:151

قُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُم مِّنْ إِمْلَٰقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّـهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

qul taʿālaw atlu mā ḥarrama rabbukum ʿalaykum allā tushrikū bihi shayʾan wa-bil-wālidayni iḥsānan wa-lā taqtulū awlādakum min imlāqin nnaḥnu narzuqukum wa-iyyāhum wa-lā taqrabū l-fawāḥisha mā ẓahara minhā wa-mā baṭana wa-lā taqtulū l-nafsa allatī ḥarrama allāhu illā bil-ḥaqqi dhālikum waṣṣakum bihi la-ʿallakum taʿqilūna

Say: "Come, I will rehearse what Allah hath (really) prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:152

وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ مَالَ ٱلْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَٱعْدِلُوا۟ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ وَبِعَهْدِ ٱللَّـهِ أَوْفُوا۟ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

wa-lā taqrabū māla l-yatīmi illā billatī hiya aḥsanu ḥattā yablugha ashuddahu wa-awfū l-kayla wa-l-mīzāna bil-qisṭi lā nukallifu nafsan illā wusʿahā wa-idhā qultum faʿdilū wa-law kāna dhā qurba wa-biʿahdi allāhi awfū dhālikum waṣṣakum bihi la-ʿallakum tadhakkarūna

And come not nigh to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice;- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear;- whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of Allah: thus doth He command you, that ye may remember.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:153

وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِى مُسْتَقِيمًا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

wa-anna hādhā ṣirāṭī mustaqīman fa-ittabiʿūhu wa-lā tattabiʿū l-subula fa-tafarraqa bikum ʿan sabīlihi dhālikum waṣṣakum bihi la-ʿallakum tattaqūna

Verily, this is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path: thus doth He command you. that ye may be righteous.

Sura Maryam 19:31

وَجَعَلَنِى مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَٰنِى بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا

wa-jaʿalanī mubārakan ayna mā kuntu wa-awṣānī bil-ṣalāti wa-l-zakāti mā dumtu ḥayyan

"And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;

Sura al-Shūrā 42:13

شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِۦ نُوحًا وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِۦٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا۟ فِيهِ كَبُرَ عَلَى ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ٱللَّـهُ يَجْتَبِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَن يُنِيبُ

sharaʿa la-kum mina l-dīni mā waṣṣā bihi nūḥan wa-alladhī awḥaynā ilayka wa-mā waṣṣaynā bihi ibrāhīma wa-mūsa wa-ʿīsa an aqīmū l-dīna wa-lā tatafarraqū fīhi kabura ʿalā l-mushrikīna mā tadʿūhum ilayhi allāhu yajtabī ilayhi man yashāʾu wa-yahdī ilayhi man yunību

The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

Sura al-Dhāriyāt 51:53

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

atawāṣaw bihi bal hum qawmun ṭāghūna

Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds!

Sura al-Balad 90:17

ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ

thumma kāna mina lladhīna āmanū wa-tawāṣaw bil-ṣabri wa-tawāṣaw bil-marḥamati

Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion.

Sura al-ʿAṣr 103:3

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ

illā lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti wa-tawāṣaw bil-ḥaqqi wa-tawāṣaw bil-ṣabri

Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.
