Sura al-Baqara 2:201

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa-minhum man yaqūlu rabbanā ātinā fī l-dunyā ḥasanatan wa-fī l-akhirati ḥasanatan wa-qinā ʿadhāba l-nāri

And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!"

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:16

ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

lladhīna yaqūlūna rabbanā innanā āmannā fa-ighfir la-nā dhunūbanā wa-qinā ʿadhāba l-nāri

(Namely), those who say: "Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:191

ٱلَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ ٱللَّـهَ قِيَٰمًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلًا سُبْحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

lladhīna yadhkurūna allāha qiyāman wa-quʿūdan wa-ʿalā junūbihim wa-yatafakkarūna fī khalqi l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍi rabbanā mā khalaqta hādhā bāṭilan subḥānaka faqinā ʿadhāba l-nāri

Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:81

وَٱللَّـهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَٰلًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ أَكْنَٰنًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ ٱلْحَرَّ وَسَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُم بَأْسَكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْلِمُونَ

wallāhu jaʿala la-kum mimmā khalaqa ẓilālan wa-jaʿala la-kum mina l-jibāli aknānan wa-jaʿala la-kum sarābīla taqīkumu l-ḥarra wa-sarābīla taqīkum basakum ka-dhālika yutimmu niʿmatahu ʿalaykum la-ʿallakum tuslimūna

It is Allah Who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete His favours on you, that ye may bow to His Will (in Islam).

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:7

ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ ٱلْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَٱغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

lladhīna yaḥmilūna l-ʿarsha wa-man ḥawlahu yusabbiḥūna bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-yuminūna bihi wa-yastaghfirūna li-lladhīna āmanū rabbanā wasiʿta kulla shayʾin rraḥmatan wa-ʿilman fa-ighfir li-lladhīna tābū wa-ittabaʿū sabīlaka wa-qihim ʿadhāba l-jaḥīmi

Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah) and those around it Sing Glory and Praise to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:9

وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُۥ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

wa-qihimu l-sayyiʾāti wa-man taqi l-sayyiʾāti yawmaʾidhin fa-qad raḥimtahu wa-dhālika huwa l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīmu

"And preserve them from (all) ills; and any whom Thou dost preserve from ills that Day,- on them wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy indeed: and that will be truly (for them) the highest Achievement".

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:45

فَوَقَىٰهُ ٱللَّـهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِـَٔالِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ

fa-waqāhu allāhu sayyiāti mā makarū wa-ḥāqa bi-āli firʿawna sūu l-ʿadhābi

Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh.

Sura al-Dukhān 44:56

لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

lā yadhūqūna fīhā l-mawtā illā l-mawtata l-ūlā wa-waqāhum ʿadhāba l-jaḥīmi

Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:18

فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

fākihīna bimā atāhum rabbuhum wa-waqāhum rabbuhum ʿadhāba l-jaḥīmi

Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:27

فَمَنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ

famanna allāhu ʿalaynā wa-waqānā ʿadhāba l-samūmi

"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.

Sura al-Ḥashr 59:9

وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّونَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِى صُدُورِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّآ أُوتُوا۟ وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

wa-lladhīna tabawwaū l-dāra wa-alīmāna min qablihim yuḥibbūna man hājara ilayhim wa-lā yajidūna fī ṣudūrihim ḥājatan mimmā ūtū wa-yuthirūna ʿala anfusihim wa-law kāna bihim khaṣāṣatun wa-man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa-ūlāʾika humu l-mufliḥūna

But those who before them, had homes (in Medina) and had adopted the Faith,- show their affection to such as came to them for refuge, and entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the (latter), but give them preference over themselves, even though poverty was their (own lot). And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.

Sura al-Taghābun 64:16

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ خَيْرًا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

fa-ittaqū allāha mā istaṭaʿtum wa-ismaʿū wa-aṭīʿū wa-anfiqū khayran llianfusikum wa-man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa-ūlāʾika humu l-mufliḥūna

So fear Allah as much as ye can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own soul and those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.

Sura al-Taḥrīm 66:6

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ قُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَّا يَعْصُونَ ٱللَّـهَ مَآ أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū qū anfusakum wa-ahlīkum nāran wa-qūduhā l-nāsu wa-l-ḥijāratu ʿalayhā malāʾikatun ghilāẓun shidādun lā yaʿṣūna allāha mā amarahum wa-yafʿalūna mā yumarūna

O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.

Sura al-Insān 76:11

فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا

fawaqahumu allāhu sharra dhālika l-yawmi wa-laqqahum naḍratan wa-surūran

But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy.
