يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ  عَنِ  ٱلْأَهِلَّةِ  قُلْ  هِىَ  مَوَٰقِيتُ  لِلنَّاسِ  وَٱلْحَجِّ  وَلَيْسَ  ٱلْبِرُّ  بِأَن  تَأْتُوا۟  ٱلْبُيُوتَ  مِن  ظُهُورِهَا  وَلَٰكِنَّ  ٱلْبِرَّ  مَنِ  ٱتَّقَىٰ  وَأْتُوا۟  ٱلْبُيُوتَ  مِنْ  أَبْوَٰبِهَا  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  لَعَلَّكُمْ  تُفْلِحُونَ yasʾalūnaka ʿani l‑ahillati qul hiya mawāqītu lil‑nāsi wa‑l‑ḥajji walaysa l‑birru bi‑an taʾtū l‑buyūta min ẓuhūrihā wa‑lākinna l‑birra mani ittaqā wa‑ʾtū l‑buyūta min abwābihā wa‑ittaqū allāha la‑ʿallakum tufliḥūna
They ask thee concerning the New Moons. Say: They are but signs to mark fixed periods of time in (the affairs of) men, and for Pilgrimage. It is no virtue if ye enter your houses from the back: It is virtue if ye fear Allah. Enter houses through the proper doors: And fear Allah: That ye may prosper.
(2:201)

وَمِنْهُم  مَّن  يَقُولُ  رَبَّنَآ  ءَاتِنَا  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  حَسَنَةً  وَفِى  ٱلْأَخِرَةِ  حَسَنَةً  وَقِنَا  عَذَابَ  ٱلنَّارِ wa‑minhum man yaqūlu rabbanā ātinā l‑dunyā ḥasanatan wa‑fī l‑akhirati ḥasanatan wa‑qinā ʿadhāba l‑nāri
And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!"
(2:203)

وَٱذْكُرُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  فِىٓ  أَيَّامٍ  مَّعْدُودَٰتٍ  فَمَن  تَعَجَّلَ  فِى  يَوْمَيْنِ  فَلَآ  إِثْمَ  عَلَيْهِ  وَمَن  تَأَخَّرَ  فَلَآ  إِثْمَ  عَلَيْهِ  لِمَنِ  ٱتَّقَىٰ  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّكُمْ  إِلَيْهِ  تُحْشَرُونَ wa‑idhkurū allāha ayyāmin maʿdūdātin fa‑man taʿajjala yawmayni fa‑lā ithma ʿalayhi wa‑man taʾakhkhara fa‑lā ithma ʿalayhi limani ittaqā wa‑ittaqū allāha wa‑iʿlamū annakum ilayhi tuḥsharūna
Celebrate the praises of Allah during the Appointed Days. But if any one hastens to leave in two days, there is no blame on him, and if any one stays on, there is no blame on him, if his aim is to do right. Then fear Allah, and know that ye will surely be gathered unto Him.
(2:206)

When it is said to him, "Fear Allah", He is led by arrogance to (more) crime. Enough for him is Hell;-An evil bed indeed (To lie on)!

O ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing Let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as Allah Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, but let him fear His Lord Allah, and not diminish aught of what he owes. If the party liable is mentally deficient, or weak, or unable Himself to dictate, Let his guardian dictate faithfully, and get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her. The witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (For evidence). Disdain not to reduce to writing (your contract) for a future period, whether it be small or big: it is juster in the sight of Allah, More suitable as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves but if it be a transaction which ye carry out on the spot among yourselves, there is no blame on you if ye reduce it not to writing. But take witness whenever ye make a commercial contract; and let neither scribe nor witness suffer harm. If ye do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So fear Allah; For it is Allah that teaches you. And Allah is well acquainted with all things.
(2:283)

وَإِن  كُنتُمْ  عَلَىٰ  سَفَرٍ  وَلَمْ  تَجِدُوا۟  كَاتِبًا  فَرِهَٰنٌ  مَّقْبُوضَةٌ  فَإِنْ  أَمِنَ  بَعْضُكُم  بَعْضًا  فَلْيُؤَدِّ  ٱلَّذِى  ٱؤْتُمِنَ  أَمَٰنَتَهُۥ  وَلْيَتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  رَبَّهُۥ  وَلَا  تَكْتُمُوا۟  ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ  وَمَن  يَكْتُمْهَا  فَإِنَّهُۥٓ  ءَاثِمٌ  قَلْبُهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  عَلِيمٌ wa‑in kuntum ʿalā safarin wa‑lam tajidū kātiban farihānun maqbūḍatun fa‑in amina baʿḍukum baʿḍan fa‑l‑yuʾaddi alladhī iʾtumina amānatahu wa‑l‑yattaqi allāha rabbahu wa‑lā taktumū l‑shahādata wa‑man yaktumhā fainnahu āthimun qalbuhu wallāhu bi‑mā taʿmalūna ʿalīmun
If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, Let the trustee (Faithfully) discharge His trust, and let him fear his Lord. Conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it,- His heart is tainted with sin. And Allah Knoweth all that ye do.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:16)

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were told to hold back their hands (from fight) but establish regular prayers and spend in regular charity? When (at length) the order for fighting was issued to them, behold! a section of them feared men as - or even more than - they should have feared Allah: They said: "Our Lord! Why hast Thou ordered us to fight? Wouldst Thou not Grant us respite to our (natural) term, near (enough)?" Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right: Never will ye be dealt with unjustly in the very least!

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:35)

O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:90)

قَالُوٓا۟  أَءِنَّكَ  لَأَنتَ  يُوسُفُ  قَالَ  أَنَا۠  يُوسُفُ  وَهَٰذَآ  أَخِى  قَدْ  مَنَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْنَآ  إِنَّهُۥ  مَن  يَتَّقِ  وَيَصْبِرْ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  لَا  يُضِيعُ  أَجْرَ  ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ qālū a‑innaka la‑anta yūsufu qalā anā yūsufu wa‑hādhā akhī qad manna allāhu ʿalaynā innahu man yattaqi wa‑yaṣbir fa‑inna allāha yuḍīʿu ajra l‑muḥsinīna
They said: "Art thou indeed Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother: Allah has indeed been gracious to us (all): behold, he that is righteous and patient,- never will Allah suffer the reward to be lost, of those who do right."

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:81)

It is Allah Who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete His favours on you, that ye may bow to His Will (in Islam).

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:52)

O Prophet! Fear Allah, and hearken not to the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites: verily Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
(33:37)

Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)

Is, then, one who has to fear the brunt of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment (and receive it) on his face, (like one guarded therefrom)? It will be said to the wrong-doers: "Taste ye (the fruits of) what ye earned!"

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:7)

ٱلَّذِينَ  يَحْمِلُونَ  ٱلْعَرْشَ  وَمَنْ  حَوْلَهُۥ  يُسَبِّحُونَ  بِحَمْدِ  رَبِّهِمْ  وَيُؤْمِنُونَ  بِهِۦ  وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ  لِلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  رَبَّنَا  وَسِعْتَ  كُلَّ  شَىْءٍ  رَّحْمَةً  وَعِلْمًا  فَٱغْفِرْ  لِلَّذِينَ  تَابُوا۟  وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟  سَبِيلَكَ  وَقِهِمْ  عَذَابَ  ٱلْجَحِيمِ lladhīna yaḥmilūna l‑ʿarsha wa‑man ḥawlahu yusabbiḥūna bi‑ḥamdi rabbihim wa‑yuminūna bihi wa‑yastaghfirūna li‑lladhīna āmanū rabbanā wasiʿta kulla shayʾin rraḥmatan wa‑ʿilman fa‑ighfir li‑lladhīna tābū wa‑ittabaʿū sabīlaka wa‑qihim ʿadhāba l‑jaḥīmi
Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah) and those around it Sing Glory and Praise to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!
(40:9)

"And preserve them from (all) ills; and any whom Thou dost preserve from ills that Day,- on them wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy indeed: and that will be truly (for them) the highest Achievement".
(40:45)

Surah 52 al-Ṭūr (The Mountain)
(52:18)

Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.
(52:27)

فَمَنَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْنَا  وَوَقَىٰنَا  عَذَابَ  ٱلسَّمُومِ famanna allāhu ʿalaynā wa‑waqānā ʿadhāba l‑samūmi
"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.

Surah 53 al-Najm (The Star)
(53:32)

ٱلَّذِينَ  يَجْتَنِبُونَ  كَبَٰٓئِرَ  ٱلْإِثْمِ  وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ  إِلَّا  ٱللَّمَمَ  إِنَّ  رَبَّكَ  وَٰسِعُ  ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ  هُوَ  أَعْلَمُ  بِكُمْ  إِذْ  أَنشَأَكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَإِذْ  أَنتُمْ  أَجِنَّةٌ  فِى  بُطُونِ  أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ  فَلَا  تُزَكُّوٓا۟  أَنفُسَكُمْ  هُوَ  أَعْلَمُ  بِمَنِ  ٱتَّقَىٰٓ lladhīna yajtanibūna kabāʾira l‑ithmi wa‑l‑fawāḥisha illā l‑lamama inna rabbaka wāsiʿu l‑maghfirati huwa aʿlamu bikum idh anshaʾakum mina l‑arḍi wa‑idh antum ajinnatun buṭūni ummahātikum fa‑lā tuzakkū anfusakum huwa aʿlamu bimani ittaqā
Those who avoid great sins and shameful deeds, only (falling into) small faults,- verily thy Lord is ample in forgiveness. He knows you well when He brings you out of the earth, And when ye are hidden in your mothers' wombs. Therefore justify not yourselves: He knows best who it is that guards against evil.

Surah 59 al-Ḥashr (The Exile)
(59:9)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  تَبَوَّءُو  ٱلدَّارَ  وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  يُحِبُّونَ  مَنْ  هَاجَرَ  إِلَيْهِمْ  وَلَا  يَجِدُونَ  فِى  صُدُورِهِمْ  حَاجَةً  مِّمَّآ  أُوتُوا۟  وَيُؤْثِرُونَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِهِمْ  وَلَوْ  كَانَ  بِهِمْ  خَصَاصَةٌ  وَمَن  يُوقَ  شُحَّ  نَفْسِهِۦ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ wa‑lladhīna tabawwaū l‑dāra wa‑alīmāna min qablihim yuḥibbūna man hājara ilayhim wa‑lā yajidūna ṣudūrihim ḥājatan mimmā ūtū wa‑yuthirūna ʿala anfusihim wa‑law kāna bihim khaṣāṣatun wa‑man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑mufliḥūna
But those who before them, had homes (in Medina) and had adopted the Faith,- show their affection to such as came to them for refuge, and entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the (latter), but give them preference over themselves, even though poverty was their (own lot). And those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.

Surah 64 al-Taghābun (The Cheating)
(64:16)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مَا  ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ  وَٱسْمَعُوا۟  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  وَأَنفِقُوا۟  خَيْرًا  لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ  وَمَن  يُوقَ  شُحَّ  نَفْسِهِۦ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ fa‑ittaqū allāha istaṭaʿtum wa‑ismaʿū wa‑aṭīʿū wa‑anfiqū khayran llianfusikum wa‑man yūqa sḥuḥḥa nafsihi fa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑mufliḥūna
So fear Allah as much as ye can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own soul and those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity.

Surah 65 al-Ṭalāq (The Divorce)
(65:2)

فَإِذَا  بَلَغْنَ  أَجَلَهُنَّ  فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  أَوْ  فَارِقُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  وَأَشْهِدُوا۟  ذَوَىْ  عَدْلٍ  مِّنكُمْ  وَأَقِيمُوا۟  ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ  لِلَّـهِ  ذَٰلِكُمْ  يُوعَظُ  بِهِۦ  مَن  كَانَ  يُؤْمِنُ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَٱلْيَوْمِ  ٱلْأَخِرِ  وَمَن  يَتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَجْعَل  لَّهُۥ  مَخْرَجًا fa‑idhā balaghna ajalahunna fa‑amsikūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin aw fāriqūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin wa‑ashhidū dhawa ʿadlin minkum wa‑aqīmū l‑shahādata lillāhi dhālikum yūʿaẓu bihi man kāna yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑man yattaqi allāha yajʿal lahu makhrajan
Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before Allah. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,
(65:4)

وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى  يَئِسْنَ  مِنَ  ٱلْمَحِيضِ  مِن  نِّسَآئِكُمْ  إِنِ  ٱرْتَبْتُمْ  فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ  ثَلَٰثَةُ  أَشْهُرٍ  وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى  لَمْ  يَحِضْنَ  وَأُو۟لَٰتُ  ٱلْأَحْمَالِ  أَجَلُهُنَّ  أَن  يَضَعْنَ  حَمْلَهُنَّ  وَمَن  يَتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَجْعَل  لَّهُۥ  مِنْ  أَمْرِهِۦ  يُسْرًا wa‑allāʾī yaʾisna mina l‑maḥīḍi min nasāʾikum ini irtabtum fa‑ʿiddatuhunna thalāthatu ashhurin wa‑allāʾī lam yaḥiḍna wa‑ūlātu l‑aḥmāli ajaluhunna an yaḍaʿna ḥamlahunna wa‑man yattaqi allāha yajʿal lahu min amrihi yusran
Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
(65:5)

ذَٰلِكَ  أَمْرُ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَنزَلَهُۥٓ  إِلَيْكُمْ  وَمَن  يَتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُكَفِّرْ  عَنْهُ  سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ  وَيُعْظِمْ  لَهُۥٓ  أَجْرًا dhālika amru allāhi anzalahu ilaykum wa‑man yattaqi allāha yukaffir ʿanhu sayyiʾātihi wa‑yuʿẓim lahu ajran
That is the Command of Allah, which He has sent down to you: and if any one fears Allah, He will remove his ills, from him, and will enlarge his reward.

Surah 76 al-Insān (The Man)
(76:11)

But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy.

Surah 92 al-Layl (The Night)
(92:5)

فَأَمَّا  مَنْ  أَعْطَىٰ  وَٱتَّقَىٰ fa‑ammā man aʿṭā wa‑ittaqā
So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah),
