Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:8

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa-hab la-nā min ladunka raḥmatan innaka anta l-wahhābu

"Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:38

هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُۥ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ

hunālika daʿā zakariyyā rabbahu qalā rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibatan innaka samīʿu l-duʿāʾi

There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! Grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure: for Thou art He that heareth prayer!

Sura al-Anʿām 6:84

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

wa-wahabnā lahu isḥāqa wa-yaʿqūba kullan hadaynā wa-nūḥan hadaynā min qablu wa-min dhurriyyatihi dāwuda wa-sulaymāna wa-ayyūba wa-yūsufa wa-mūsa wa-hārūna wa-ka-dhālika najzī l-muḥsinīna

We gave him Isaac and Jacob: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided Noah, and among his progeny, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron: thus do We reward those who do good:

Sura Ibrāhīm 14:39

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ ٱلَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى ٱلْكِبَرِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ

l-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī wahaba lī ʿalā l-kibari ismāʿīla wa-isḥāqa inna rabbī lasamīʿu l-duʿāʾi

"Praise be to Allah, Who hath granted unto me in old age Isma'il and Isaac: for truly my Lord is He, the Hearer of Prayer!

Sura Maryam 19:5

وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا

wa-innī khiftu l-mawāliya min warāʾī wa-kānati imraʾatī ʿāqiran fa-hab lī min ladunka waliyyan

"Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself,-

Sura Maryam 19:19

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًا زَكِيًّا

qalā innamā anā rasūlu rabbiki liahaba laki ghulāman zakiyyan

He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.

Sura Maryam 19:49

فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا

fa-lammā iʿtazalahum wa-mā yaʿbudūna min dūni allāhi wahabnā lahu isḥāqa wa-yaʿqūba wa-kullan jaʿalnā nabiyyan

When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.

Sura Maryam 19:50

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا

wa-wahabnā lahum min rraḥmatinā wa-jaʿalnā lahum lisāna ṣidqin ʿaliyyan

And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.

Sura Maryam 19:53

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ نَبِيًّا

wa-wahabnā lahu min rraḥmatinā akhāhu hārūna nabiyyan

And, out of Our Mercy, We gave him his brother Aaron, (also) a prophet.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:72

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَٰلِحِينَ

wa-wahabnā lahu isḥāqa wa-yaʿqūba nāfilatan wa-kullan jaʿalnā ṣāliḥīna

And We bestowed on him Isaac and, as an additional gift, (a grandson), Jacob, and We made righteous men of every one (of them).

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:90

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ

fa-istajabnā lahu wa-wahabnā lahu yaḥyā wa-aṣlaḥnā lahu zawjahu innahum kānū yusāriʿūna fī l-khayrāti wa-yadʿūnanā raghaban wa-rahaban wa-kānū la-nā khāshiʿīna

So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us.

Sura al-Furqān 25:74

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

wa-lladhīna yaqūlūna rabbanā hab la-nā min azwājinā wa-dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wa-ajʿalnā lil-muttaqīna imāman

And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:21

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

fa-farartu minkum lammā khiftukum fa-wahaba lī rabbī ḥukman wa-jaʿalanī mina l-mursalīna

"So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:83

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

rabbi hab lī ḥukman wa-alḥiqnī bil-ṣāliḥīna

"O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous;

Sura al-ʿAnkabūt 29:27

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ أَجْرَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

wa-wahabnā lahu isḥāqa wa-yaʿqūba wa-jaʿalnā fī dhurriyyatihi l-nubuwwata wa-l-kitāba wa-ātaynāhu ajrahu fī l-dunyā wa-innahu fī l-akhirati la-mina l-ṣāliḥīna

And We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob, and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation, and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous.

Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:50

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِنَّآ أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَٰجَكَ ٱلَّٰتِىٓ ءَاتَيْتَ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِمَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمَّٰتِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَٰلَٰتِكَ ٱلَّٰتِى هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ وَٱمْرَأَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً إِن وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِىِّ إِنْ أَرَادَ ٱلنَّبِىُّ أَن يَسْتَنكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِىٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ لِكَيْلَا يَكُونَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

yā-ayyuhā l-nabiyyu innā aḥlalnā la-ka azwājaka allātī ātayta ujūrahunna wa-mā malakat yamīnuka mimmā afāʾa allāhu ʿalayka wa-banāti ʿammika wa-banāti ʿammātika wa-banāti khālika wa-banāti khālātika allātī hājarna maʿaka wa-imraʾatan muʾminatan in wahabat nafsahā lil-nabiyyi in arāda l-nabiyyu an yastankiḥahā khāliṣatan laka min dūni l-muʾminīna qad ʿalimnā mā faraḍnā ʿalayhim fī azwājihim wa-mā malakat aymānuhum li-kaylā yakūna ʿalayka ḥarajun wa-kāna allāhu ghafūran raḥīman

O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:100

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

rabbi hab lī mina l-ṣāliḥīna

"O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!"

Sura Ṣād 38:30

وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ نِعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ

wa-wahabnā lidāwuda sulaymāna niʿma l-ʿabdu innahu awwābun

To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)!

Sura Ṣād 38:35

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

qalā rabbi aghfir lī wa-hab lī mulkan lā yanbaghī li-aḥadin min baʿdī innaka anta l-wahhābu

He said, "O my Lord! Forgive me, and grant me a kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for Thou art the Grantor of Bounties (without measure).

Sura Ṣād 38:43

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ

wa-wahabnā lahu ahlahu wa-mithlahum maʿahum raḥmatan minnā wa-dhikrā li-ūlī l-albābi

And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding.

Sura al-Shūrā 42:49

لِلَّـهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ يَهَبُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ إِنَٰثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ٱلذُّكُورَ

lillāhi mulku l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍi yakhluqu mā yashāʾu yahabu li-man yashāʾu ināthan wa-yahabu li-man yashāʾu l-dhukūra

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male or female according to His Will (and Plan),
