Sura Yūsuf 12:17

قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَٰعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لَّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَٰدِقِينَ

qālū yāabānā innā dhahabnā nastabiqu wa-taraknā yūsufa ʿinda matāʿinā fa-akalahu l-dhiʾbu wa-mā anta bimuminin lanā wa-law kunnā ṣādiqīna

They said: "O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Joseph with our things; and the wolf devoured him.... But thou wilt never believe us even though we tell the truth."

Sura Yūsuf 12:42

وَقَالَ لِلَّذِى ظَنَّ أَنَّهُۥ نَاجٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱذْكُرْنِى عِندَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنسَىٰهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِى ٱلسِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ

wa-qāla lilladhī ẓanna annahu nājin minhumā adhkurnī ʿinda rabbika fa-ansāhu l-shayṭānu dhikra rabbihi fa-labitha fī l-sijni biḍʿa sinīna

And of the two, to that one whom he consider about to be saved, he said: "Mention me to thy lord." But Satan made him forget to mention him to his lord: and (Joseph) lingered in prison a few (more) years.

Sura Yūsuf 12:60

فَإِن لَّمْ تَأْتُونِى بِهِۦ فَلَا كَيْلَ لَكُمْ عِندِى وَلَا تَقْرَبُونِ

fa-in lam taʾtūnī bihi fa-lā kayla la-kum ʿindī wa-lā taqrabūni

"Now if ye bring him not to me, ye shall have no measure (of corn) from me, nor shall ye (even) come near me."

Sura Yūsuf 12:79

قَالَ مَعَاذَ ٱللَّـهِ أَن نَّأْخُذَ إِلَّا مَن وَجَدْنَا مَتَٰعَنَا عِندَهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّظَٰلِمُونَ

qalā maʿādha allāhi an nnakhudha illā man wajadnā matāʿanā ʿindahu innā idhan llaẓālimūna

He said: "Allah forbid that we take other than him with whom we found our property: indeed (if we did so), we should be acting wrongfully.
