(2:177) | لَّيْسَ ٱلْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْبِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ وَءَاتَى ٱلْمَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ ذَوِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَٱلسَّآئِلِينَ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَٰهَدُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ فِى ٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَحِينَ ٱلْبَأْسِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ | laysa l‑birra an tuwallū wujūhakum qibala l‑mashriqi wa‑l‑maghribi wa‑lākinna l‑birra man āmana billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑l‑malāʾikati wa‑l‑kitābi wa‑l‑nabīyina wa‑ātā l‑māla ʿalā ḥubbihi dhawī l‑qurbā wa‑l‑yatāmā wa‑l‑masākīna wa‑ibna l‑sabīli wa‑l‑sāʾilīna wa‑fī l‑riqābi wa‑aqāma l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātā l‑zakāta wa‑l‑mūfūna bi‑ʿahdihim idhā ʿāhadū wa‑l‑ṣābirīna fī l‑baʾsāʾi wa‑l‑ḍarrāʾi wa‑ḥīna l‑basi ulāʾika lladhīna ṣadaqū wa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑muttaqūna | It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east
or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and
the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance,
out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the
wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast
in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye
have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and
adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of
truth, the Allah-fearing.
Sura al-Baqara 2:177 لَّيْسَ ٱلْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْبِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ وَءَاتَى ٱلْمَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ ذَوِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَٱلسَّآئِلِينَ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَٰهَدُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ فِى ٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَحِينَ ٱلْبَأْسِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ laysa l-birra an tuwallū wujūhakum qibala l-mashriqi wa-l-maghribi wa-lākinna l-birra man āmana billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri wa-l-malāʾikati wa-l-kitābi wa-l-nabīyina wa-ātā l-māla ʿalā ḥubbihi dhawī l-qurbā wa-l-yatāmā wa-l-masākīna wa-ibna l-sabīli wa-l-sāʾilīna wa-fī l-riqābi wa-aqāma l-ṣalāta wa-ātā l-zakāta wa-l-mūfūna bi-ʿahdihim idhā ʿāhadū wa-l-ṣābirīna fī l-baʾsāʾi wa-l-ḍarrāʾi wa-ḥīna l-basi ulāʾika lladhīna ṣadaqū wa-ūlāʾika humu l-muttaqūna It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. (2:247) | وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكًا قَالُوٓا۟ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِّنَ ٱلْمَالِ قَالَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُۥ بَسْطَةً فِى ٱلْعِلْمِ وَٱلْجِسْمِ وَٱللَّـهُ يُؤْتِى مُلْكَهُۥ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | wa‑qāla lahum nabiyyuhum inna allāha qad baʿatha la‑kum ṭālūta malikan qālū annā yakūnu lahu l‑mulku ʿalaynā wa‑naḥnu aḥaqqu bil‑mulki minhu wa‑lam yuʾtā saʿatan mina l‑māli qalā inna allāha iṣṭafāhu ʿalaykum wa‑zādahu basṭatan fī l‑ʿilmi wa‑l‑jismi wallāhu yuʾtī mulkahu man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun | Their Prophet said to them: "Allah hath appointed Talut as king
over you." They said: "How can he exercise authority over us when we are
better fitted than he to exercise authority, and he is not even gifted,
with wealth in abundance?" He said: "Allah hath Chosen him above you, and
hath gifted him abundantly with knowledge and bodily prowess: Allah Granteth
His authority to whom He pleaseth. Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all
things."
Sura al-Baqara 2:247 وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكًا قَالُوٓا۟ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِّنَ ٱلْمَالِ قَالَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُۥ بَسْطَةً فِى ٱلْعِلْمِ وَٱلْجِسْمِ وَٱللَّـهُ يُؤْتِى مُلْكَهُۥ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ wa-qāla lahum nabiyyuhum inna allāha qad baʿatha la-kum ṭālūta malikan qālū annā yakūnu lahu l-mulku ʿalaynā wa-naḥnu aḥaqqu bil-mulki minhu wa-lam yuʾtā saʿatan mina l-māli qalā inna allāha iṣṭafāhu ʿalaykum wa-zādahu basṭatan fī l-ʿilmi wa-l-jismi wallāhu yuʾtī mulkahu man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun Their Prophet said to them: "Allah hath appointed Talut as king over you." (2:258) | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِى حَآجَّ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ فِى رَبِّهِۦٓ أَنْ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّىَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا۠ أُحْىِۦ وَأُمِيتُ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَأْتِى بِٱلشَّمْسِ مِنَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ ٱلْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ | a‑lam tara ilā alladhī ḥājja ibrāhīma fī rabbihi an ātahu allāhu l‑mulka idh qalā ibrāhīmu rabbiya alladhī yuḥyi wa‑yumītu qalā anā uḥyi wa‑umītu qalā ibrāhīmu fa‑inna allāha yaʾtī bil‑shamsi mina l‑mashriqi fa‑ʾti bihā mina l‑maghribi fa‑buhita alladhī kafara wallāhu lā yahdī l‑qawma l‑ẓālimīna | Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with
Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said:
"My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and
death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the
east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded
who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people
unjust.
Sura al-Baqara 2:258 أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِى حَآجَّ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ فِى رَبِّهِۦٓ أَنْ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْمُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّىَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا۠ أُحْىِۦ وَأُمِيتُ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَأْتِى بِٱلشَّمْسِ مِنَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ ٱلْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ a-lam tara ilā alladhī ḥājja ibrāhīma fī rabbihi an ātahu allāhu l-mulka idh qalā ibrāhīmu rabbiya alladhī yuḥyi wa-yumītu qalā anā uḥyi wa-umītu qalā ibrāhīmu fa-inna allāha yaʾtī bil-shamsi mina l-mashriqi fa-ʾti bihā mina l-maghribi fa-buhita alladhī kafara wallāhu lā yahdī l-qawma l-ẓālimīna Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? (2:269) | يُؤْتِى ٱلْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ وَمَن يُؤْتَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِىَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ | yuʾtī l‑ḥikmata man yashāʾu wa‑man yuʾtā l‑ḥikmata fa‑qad ūtiya khayran kathīran wa‑mā yadhdhakkaru illā ūlū l‑albābi | He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom
is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the
Message but men of understanding.
Sura al-Baqara 2:269 يُؤْتِى ٱلْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَآءُ وَمَن يُؤْتَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِىَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ yuʾtī l-ḥikmata man yashāʾu wa-man yuʾtā l-ḥikmata fa-qad ūtiya khayran kathīran wa-mā yadhdhakkaru illā ūlū l-albābi He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding. |
(3:73) | وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِمَن تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّـهِ أَن يُؤْتَىٰٓ أَحَدٌ مِّثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَآجُّوكُمْ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | wa‑lā tūʾminū illā li‑man tabiʿa dīnakum qul inna l‑hudā huda allāhi an yuʾtā aḥadun mithla mā ūtītum aw yuḥājjūkum ʿinda rabbikum qul inna l‑faḍla bi‑yadi allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun | "And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say:
"True guidance is the Guidance of Allah: (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent
to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those
(Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your
Lord?" Say: "All bounties are in the hand of Allah: He granteth them to whom
He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:73 وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِمَن تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّـهِ أَن يُؤْتَىٰٓ أَحَدٌ مِّثْلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَآجُّوكُمْ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ wa-lā tūʾminū illā li-man tabiʿa dīnakum qul inna l-hudā huda allāhi an yuʾtā aḥadun mithla mā ūtītum aw yuḥājjūkum ʿinda rabbikum qul inna l-faḍla bi-yadi allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun "And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say: "True guidance is the Guidance of Allah: (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those (Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord?" (3:79) | مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادًا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّٰنِيِّۦنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ | mā kāna li‑basharin an yutīahu allāhu l‑kitāba wa‑l‑ḥukma wa‑l‑nubuwwata thumma yaqūla lil‑nāsi kūnū ʿibādan lī min dūni allāhi wa‑lākin kūnū rabbānīyina bi‑mā kuntum tuʿallimūna l‑kitāba wa‑bimā kuntum tadrusūna | It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book,
and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my
worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye
worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught
the Book and ye have studied it earnestly."
Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:79 مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادًا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّٰنِيِّۦنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ mā kāna li-basharin an yutīahu allāhu l-kitāba wa-l-ḥukma wa-l-nubuwwata thumma yaqūla lil-nāsi kūnū ʿibādan lī min dūni allāhi wa-lākin kūnū rabbānīyina bi-mā kuntum tuʿallimūna l-kitāba wa-bimā kuntum tadrusūna It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly." |
(4:127) | وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِى ٱلنِّسَآءِ قُلِ ٱللَّـهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ فِى يَتَٰمَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّٰتِى لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ وَأَن تَقُومُوا۟ لِلْيَتَٰمَىٰ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمًا | wa‑yastaftūnaka fī l‑nisāʾi quli allāhu yuftīkum fī‑hinna wa‑mā yutlā ʿalaykum fī l‑kitābi fī yatāma l‑nisāʾi allātī lā tutūnahunna mā kutiba la‑hunna wa‑targhabūna an tankiḥūhunna wa‑l‑mustaḍʿafīna mina l‑wildāni wa‑an taqūmū lil‑yatāma bil‑qisṭi wa‑mā tafʿalū min khayrin fa‑inna allāha kāna bihi ʿalīman | They ask thy instruction concerning the women say: Allah doth
instruct you about them: And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you
in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the
portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning
the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to
orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted
therewith.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:127 وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِى ٱلنِّسَآءِ قُلِ ٱللَّـهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ فِى يَتَٰمَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّٰتِى لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ وَأَن تَقُومُوا۟ لِلْيَتَٰمَىٰ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمًا wa-yastaftūnaka fī l-nisāʾi quli allāhu yuftīkum fī-hinna wa-mā yutlā ʿalaykum fī l-kitābi fī yatāma l-nisāʾi allātī lā tutūnahunna mā kutiba la-hunna wa-targhabūna an tankiḥūhunna wa-l-mustaḍʿafīna mina l-wildāni wa-an taqūmū lil-yatāma bil-qisṭi wa-mā tafʿalū min khayrin fa-inna allāha kāna bihi ʿalīman They ask thy instruction concerning the women say: Allah doth instruct you about them: And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith. |
(5:54) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّـهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū man yartadda minkum ʿan dīnihi fa‑sawfa yaʾtī allāhu biqawmin yuḥibbuhum wa‑yuḥibbūnahu adhillatin ʿalā l‑muʾminīna aʿizzatin ʿalā l‑kāfirīna yujāhidūna fī sabīli allāhi wa‑lā yakhāfūna lawmata lāʾimin dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun | O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his
Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love
Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in
the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault.
That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah
encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.
Sura al-Māʾidah 5:54 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّـهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū man yartadda minkum ʿan dīnihi fa-sawfa yaʾtī allāhu biqawmin yuḥibbuhum wa-yuḥibbūnahu adhillatin ʿalā l-muʾminīna aʿizzatin ʿalā l-kāfirīna yujāhidūna fī sabīli allāhi wa-lā yakhāfūna lawmata lāʾimin dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things. |
(9:18) | إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّـهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ | innamā yaʿmuru masājida allāhi man āmana billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑aqāma l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātā l‑zakāta wa‑lam yakhshā illā allāha fa‑ʿaṣā ulāʾika an yakūnū mina l‑muhtadīna | The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as
believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise
regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are
expected to be on true guidance.
Sura al-Tawbah 9:18 إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّـهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّـهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ innamā yaʿmuru masājida allāhi man āmana billāhi wa-l-yawmi l-akhiri wa-aqāma l-ṣalāta wa-ātā l-zakāta wa-lam yakhshā illā allāha fa-ʿaṣā ulāʾika an yakūnū mina l-muhtadīna The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. |
(9:75) | وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّـهَ لَئِنْ ءَاتَىٰنَا مِن فَضْلِهِۦ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ | wa‑minhum man ʿāhada allāha lain atānā min faḍlihi la‑naṣṣaddaqanna wa‑la‑nakūnanna mina l‑ṣāliḥīna | Amongst them are men who made a covenant with Allah, that if He
bestowed on them of His bounty, they would give (largely) in charity, and
be truly amongst those who are righteous.
Sura al-Tawbah 9:75 وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّـهَ لَئِنْ ءَاتَىٰنَا مِن فَضْلِهِۦ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ wa-minhum man ʿāhada allāha lain atānā min faḍlihi la-naṣṣaddaqanna wa-la-nakūnanna mina l-ṣāliḥīna Amongst them are men who made a covenant with Allah, that if He bestowed on them of His bounty, they would give (largely) in charity, and be truly amongst those who are righteous. |
(33:50) | يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِنَّآ أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَٰجَكَ ٱلَّٰتِىٓ ءَاتَيْتَ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِمَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمَّٰتِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَٰلَٰتِكَ ٱلَّٰتِى هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ وَٱمْرَأَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً إِن وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِىِّ إِنْ أَرَادَ ٱلنَّبِىُّ أَن يَسْتَنكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِىٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ لِكَيْلَا يَكُونَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | yā‑ayyuhā l‑nabiyyu innā aḥlalnā la‑ka azwājaka allātī ātayta ujūrahunna wa‑mā malakat yamīnuka mimmā afāʾa allāhu ʿalayka wa‑banāti ʿammika wa‑banāti ʿammātika wa‑banāti khālika wa‑banāti khālātika allātī hājarna maʿaka wa‑imraʾatan muʾminatan in wahabat nafsahā lil‑nabiyyi in arāda l‑nabiyyu an yastankiḥahā khāliṣatan laka min dūni l‑muʾminīna qad ʿalimnā mā faraḍnā ʿalayhim fī azwājihim wa‑mā malakat aymānuhum li‑kaylā yakūna ʿalayka ḥarajun wa‑kāna allāhu ghafūran raḥīman | O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou
hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the
prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy
paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts,
who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates
her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for
thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed
for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands
possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:50 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِنَّآ أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَٰجَكَ ٱلَّٰتِىٓ ءَاتَيْتَ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِمَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمَّٰتِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَٰلَٰتِكَ ٱلَّٰتِى هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ وَٱمْرَأَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً إِن وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِىِّ إِنْ أَرَادَ ٱلنَّبِىُّ أَن يَسْتَنكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِىٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ لِكَيْلَا يَكُونَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا yā-ayyuhā l-nabiyyu innā aḥlalnā la-ka azwājaka allātī ātayta ujūrahunna wa-mā malakat yamīnuka mimmā afāʾa allāhu ʿalayka wa-banāti ʿammika wa-banāti ʿammātika wa-banāti khālika wa-banāti khālātika allātī hājarna maʿaka wa-imraʾatan muʾminatan in wahabat nafsahā lil-nabiyyi in arāda l-nabiyyu an yastankiḥahā khāliṣatan laka min dūni l-muʾminīna qad ʿalimnā mā faraḍnā ʿalayhim fī azwājihim wa-mā malakat aymānuhum li-kaylā yakūna ʿalayka ḥarajun wa-kāna allāhu ghafūran raḥīman O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. (47:17) | وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ زَادَهُمْ هُدًى وَءَاتَىٰهُمْ تَقْوَىٰهُمْ | wa‑lladhīna ihtadaw zādahum hudan wa‑ātāhum taqwāhum | But to those who receive Guidance, He increases the (light of)
Guidance, and bestows on them their Piety and Restraint (from evil).
Sura Muḥammad 47:17 وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ زَادَهُمْ هُدًى وَءَاتَىٰهُمْ تَقْوَىٰهُمْ wa-lladhīna ihtadaw zādahum hudan wa-ātāhum taqwāhum But to those who receive Guidance, He increases the (light of) Guidance, and bestows on them their Piety and Restraint (from evil). |
(57:21) | سَابِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ | sābiqū ilā maghfiratin min rabbikum wa‑jannatin ʿarḍuhā kaʿarḍi l‑samāʾi wa‑l‑arḍi uʿiddat li‑lladhīna āmanū billāhi wa‑rusulihi dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l‑faḍli l‑ʿaẓīmi | Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a
Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth,
prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace
of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace
abounding.
Sura al-Ḥadīd 57:21 سَابِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ sābiqū ilā maghfiratin min rabbikum wa-jannatin ʿarḍuhā kaʿarḍi l-samāʾi wa-l-arḍi uʿiddat li-lladhīna āmanū billāhi wa-rusulihi dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīmi Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. |
(57:29) | لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ مِّن فَضْلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ | lliallā yaʿlama ahlu l‑kitābi allā yaqdirūna ʿalā shayʾin min faḍli allāhi wa‑anna l‑faḍla bi‑yadi allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l‑faḍli l‑ʿaẓīmi | That the People of the Book may know that they have no power
whatever over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand,
to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace
abounding.
Sura al-Ḥadīd 57:29 لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ مِّن فَضْلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ lliallā yaʿlama ahlu l-kitābi allā yaqdirūna ʿalā shayʾin min faḍli allāhi wa-anna l-faḍla bi-yadi allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīmi That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. |
(59:7) | مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةًۢ بَيْنَ ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِ مِنكُمْ وَمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُمْ عَنْهُ فَٱنتَهُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ | mā afāʾa allāhu ʿalā rasūlihi min ahli l‑qurā fa‑lillahi wa‑lil‑rasūli wa‑lidhī l‑qurbā wa‑l‑yatāmā wa‑l‑masākīni wa‑ibni l‑sabīli kay lā yakūna dūlatan bayna l‑aghnīāi minkum wa‑mā ātakumu l‑rasūlu fakhudhūhu wa‑mā nahakum ʿanhu fantahū wattaqū allāha inna allāha shadīdu l‑ʿiqābi | What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the
people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred
and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely)
make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger
assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And
fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment.
Sura al-Ḥashr 59:7 مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةًۢ بَيْنَ ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِ مِنكُمْ وَمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُمْ عَنْهُ فَٱنتَهُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ mā afāʾa allāhu ʿalā rasūlihi min ahli l-qurā fa-lillahi wa-lil-rasūli wa-lidhī l-qurbā wa-l-yatāmā wa-l-masākīni wa-ibni l-sabīli kay lā yakūna dūlatan bayna l-aghnīāi minkum wa-mā ātakumu l-rasūlu fakhudhūhu wa-mā nahakum ʿanhu fantahū wattaqū allāha inna allāha shadīdu l-ʿiqābi What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. (62:4) | ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ | dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l‑faḍli l‑ʿaẓīmi | Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will:
and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty.
Sura al-Jumuʿah 62:4 ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīmi Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty. |
(92:18) | ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ | alladhī yuʾtī mālahu yatazakka | Those who spend their wealth for increase in
self-purification,
Sura al-Layl 92:18 ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ alladhī yuʾtī mālahu yatazakka Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, |
