(4:24) | وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّـهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ فَمَا ٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِۦ مِنْهُنَّ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَٰضَيْتُم بِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْفَرِيضَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | wa‑l‑muḥṣanātu mina l‑nisāʾi illā mā malakat aymānukum kitāba allāhi ʿalaykum wa‑uḥilla la‑kum mā wa‑rāʾa dhālikum an tabtaghū bi‑amwālikum muḥṣinīna ghayra musāfiḥīna fa‑mā istamataʿtum bihi minhunna fa‑ātūhunna ujūrahunna farīḍatan wa‑lā junāḥa ʿalaykum fī‑mā tarāḍaytum bihi min baʿdi l‑farīḍati inna allāha kāna ʿalīman ḥakīman | Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom
your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against
you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in
marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust,
seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least)
as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary
it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

(4:33) | وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَٰلِىَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلْوَٰلِدَانِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدًا | wa‑li‑kullin jaʿalnā mawāliya mimmā taraka l‑wālidāni wa‑l‑aqrabūna wa‑lladhīna ʿaqadat aymānukum fa‑ātūhum naṣībahum inna allāha kāna ʿalā kulli shayʾin shahīdan | To (benefit) every one, We have appointed shares and heirs to
property left by parents and relatives. To those, also, to whom your right
hand was pledged, give their due portion. For truly Allah is witness to all
things.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:33 وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَٰلِىَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلْوَٰلِدَانِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدًا wa-li-kullin jaʿalnā mawāliya mimmā taraka l-wālidāni wa-l-aqrabūna wa-lladhīna ʿaqadat aymānukum fa-ātūhum naṣībahum inna allāha kāna ʿalā kulli shayʾin shahīdan To (benefit) every one, We have appointed shares and heirs to property left by parents and relatives. To those, also, to whom your right hand was pledged, give their due portion. For truly Allah is witness to all things. |
(24:33) | وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | wa‑l‑yastaʿfifi lladhīna lā yajidūna nikāḥan ḥattā yughniyahumu allāhu min faḍlihi wa‑lladhīna yabtaghūna l‑kitāba mimmā malakat aymānukum fa‑kātibūhum in ʿalimtum fīhim khayran wa‑ātūhum min māli allāhi alladhī ātakum wa‑lā tukrihū fatayātikum ʿalā l‑bighāʾi in aradna taḥaṣṣunan li‑tabtaghū ʿaraḍa l‑ḥayāti l‑dunyā wa‑man yukrihhhunna fa‑inna allāha min baʿdi ikrāhihinna ghafūrun raḥīmun | Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep
themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. And if any
of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their
freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in
them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which Allah has
given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire
chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But
if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft-Forgiving,
Most Merciful (to them),
Sura al-Nūr 24:33 وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا۟ فَتَيَٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٰهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ wa-l-yastaʿfifi lladhīna lā yajidūna nikāḥan ḥattā yughniyahumu allāhu min faḍlihi wa-lladhīna yabtaghūna l-kitāba mimmā malakat aymānukum fa-kātibūhum in ʿalimtum fīhim khayran wa-ātūhum min māli allāhi alladhī ātakum wa-lā tukrihū fatayātikum ʿalā l-bighāʾi in aradna taḥaṣṣunan li-tabtaghū ʿaraḍa l-ḥayāti l-dunyā wa-man yukrihhhunna fa-inna allāha min baʿdi ikrāhihinna ghafūrun raḥīmun Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. (60:11) | وَإِن فَاتَكُمْ شَىْءٌ مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ فَعَاقَبْتُمْ فَـَٔاتُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَهَبَتْ أَزْوَٰجُهُم مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ | wa‑in fātakum shayʾun min azwājikum ilā l‑kuffāri fa‑ʿāqabtum fa‑ātū lladhīna dhahabat azwājuhum mithla mā anfaqū wattaqū allāha alladhī antum bihi muʾminūna | And if any of your wives deserts you to the Unbelievers, and
ye have an accession (by the coming over of a woman from the other side),
then pay to those whose wives have deserted the equivalent of what they had
spent (on their dower). And fear Allah, in Whom ye believe.
Sura al-Mumtaḥanah 60:11 وَإِن فَاتَكُمْ شَىْءٌ مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ فَعَاقَبْتُمْ فَـَٔاتُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَهَبَتْ أَزْوَٰجُهُم مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ wa-in fātakum shayʾun min azwājikum ilā l-kuffāri fa-ʿāqabtum fa-ātū lladhīna dhahabat azwājuhum mithla mā anfaqū wattaqū allāha alladhī antum bihi muʾminūna And if any of your wives deserts you to the Unbelievers, and ye have an accession (by the coming over of a woman from the other side), then pay to those whose wives have deserted the equivalent of what they had spent (on their dower). And fear Allah, in Whom ye believe. |
(65:6) | أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجْدِكُمْ وَلَا تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَإِن كُنَّ أُو۟لَٰتِ حَمْلٍ فَأَنفِقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأْتَمِرُوا۟ بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُۥٓ أُخْرَىٰ | askinūhunna min ḥaythu sakantum min wujdikum wa‑lā tuḍārrūhunna li‑tuḍayyiqū ʿalayhinna wa‑in kunna ūlāti ḥamlin faanfiqū ʿalayhinna ḥattā yaḍaʿna ḥamlahunna fa‑in arḍaʿna la‑kum fa‑ātūhunna ujūrahunna wa‑tamirū baynakum bi‑maʿrūfin wa‑in taʿāsartum fa‑sa‑turḍiʿu lahu ukhrā | Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live,
according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them. And if
they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until
they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them
their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is
just and reasonable. And if ye find yourselves in difficulties, let another
woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.
Sura al-Ṭalāq 65:6 أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجْدِكُمْ وَلَا تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَإِن كُنَّ أُو۟لَٰتِ حَمْلٍ فَأَنفِقُوا۟ عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأْتَمِرُوا۟ بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُۥٓ أُخْرَىٰ askinūhunna min ḥaythu sakantum min wujdikum wa-lā tuḍārrūhunna li-tuḍayyiqū ʿalayhinna wa-in kunna ūlāti ḥamlin faanfiqū ʿalayhinna ḥattā yaḍaʿna ḥamlahunna fa-in arḍaʿna la-kum fa-ātūhunna ujūrahunna wa-tamirū baynakum bi-maʿrūfin wa-in taʿāsartum fa-sa-turḍiʿu lahu ukhrā Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them.
