Sura al-Tawbah 9:59

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا۟ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَقَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّـهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا ٱللَّـهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِلَى ٱللَّـهِ رَٰغِبُونَ

wa-law annahum raḍū mā ātahumu allāhu wa-rasūluhu wa-qālū ḥasbunā allāhu sa-yuʾtīnā allāhu min faḍlihi wa-rasūluhu innā ilā allāhi rāghibūna

If only they had been content with what Allah and His Messenger gave them, and had said, "Sufficient unto us is Allah! Allah and His Messenger will soon give us of His bounty: to Allah do we turn our hopes!" (that would have been the right course).
