Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:139)

قُلْ  أَتُحَآجُّونَنَا  فِى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَهُوَ  رَبُّنَا  وَرَبُّكُمْ  وَلَنَآ  أَعْمَٰلُنَا  وَلَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  وَنَحْنُ  لَهُۥ  مُخْلِصُونَ qul atuḥājjūnanā allāhi wa‑huwa rabbunā wa‑rabbukum wa‑lanā aʿmālunā wa‑lakum aʿmālukum wa‑naḥnu lahu mukhliṣūna
Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that We are sincere (in our faith) in Him?
(2:167)

وَقَالَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ٱتَّبَعُوا۟  لَوْ  أَنَّ  لَنَا  كَرَّةً  فَنَتَبَرَّأَ  مِنْهُمْ  كَمَا  تَبَرَّءُوا۟  مِنَّا  كَذَٰلِكَ  يُرِيهِمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  حَسَرَٰتٍ  عَلَيْهِمْ  وَمَا  هُم  بِخَٰرِجِينَ  مِنَ  ٱلنَّارِ wa‑qāla lladhīna attabaʿū law annā la‑nā karratan fa‑natabarraʾa minhum ka‑mā tabarraʾū minnā ka‑dhālika yurīhimu allāhu aʿmālahum ḥasarātin ʿalayhim wa‑mā hum bi‑khārijīna mina l‑nāri
And those who followed would say: "If only We had one more chance, We would clear ourselves of them, as they have cleared themselves of us." Thus will Allah show them (The fruits of) their deeds as (nothing but) regrets. Nor will there be a way for them out of the Fire.
(2:217)

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ  عَنِ  ٱلشَّهْرِ  ٱلْحَرَامِ  قِتَالٍ  فِيهِ  قُلْ  قِتَالٌ  فِيهِ  كَبِيرٌ  وَصَدٌّ  عَن  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَكُفْرٌۢ  بِهِۦ  وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ  ٱلْحَرَامِ  وَإِخْرَاجُ  أَهْلِهِۦ  مِنْهُ  أَكْبَرُ  عِندَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ  أَكْبَرُ  مِنَ  ٱلْقَتْلِ  وَلَا  يَزَالُونَ  يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ  حَتَّىٰ  يَرُدُّوكُمْ  عَن  دِينِكُمْ  إِنِ  ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟  وَمَن  يَرْتَدِدْ  مِنكُمْ  عَن  دِينِهِۦ  فَيَمُتْ  وَهُوَ  كَافِرٌ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ  وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  أَصْحَٰبُ  ٱلنَّارِ  هُمْ  فِيهَا  خَٰلِدُونَ yasʾalūnaka ʿani l‑shahri l‑ḥarāmi qitālin fīhi qul qitālun fīhi kabīrun waṣaddun ʿan sabīli allāhi wa‑kufrun bihi wa‑l‑masjidi l‑ḥarāmi waikhrāju ahlihi minhu akbaru ʿinda allāhi wa‑l‑fitnatu akbaru mina l‑qatli wa‑lā yazālūna yuqātilūnakum ḥattā yaruddūkum ʿan dīnikum ini istaṭāʿū wa‑man yartadid minkum ʿan dīnihi fa‑yamut wa‑huwa kāfirun fa‑ūlāʾika ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum l‑dunyā wa‑l‑akhirati wa‑ūlāʾika aṣḥābu l‑nāri hum fīhā khālidūna
They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month. Say: "Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:22)

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ  وَمَا  لَهُم  مِّن  نَّٰصِرِينَ ulāʾika lladhīna ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum l‑dunyā wa‑l‑akhirati wa‑mā lahum min nāṣirīna
They are those whose works will bear no fruit in this world and in the Hereafter nor will they have anyone to help.
(3:136)

For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,- an eternal dwelling: How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)!

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:53)

وَيَقُولُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَقْسَمُوا۟  بِٱللَّـهِ  جَهْدَ  أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ  إِنَّهُمْ  لَمَعَكُمْ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  فَأَصْبَحُوا۟  خَٰسِرِينَ wayaqūlu lladhīna āmanū a‑hāʾulāʾi lladhīna aqsamū billāhi jahda aymānihim innahum lamaʿakum ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum fa‑aṣbaḥū khāsirīna
And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:147)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَذَّبُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا  وَلِقَآءِ  ٱلْأَخِرَةِ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  هَلْ  يُجْزَوْنَ  إِلَّا  مَا  كَانُوا۟  يَعْمَلُونَ wa‑lladhīna kadhdhabū bi‑āyātinā wa‑liqāʾi l‑akhirati ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum hal yujzawna illā kānū yaʿmalūna
Those who reject Our signs and the meeting in the Hereafter,- vain are their deeds: Can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought?

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:48)

وَإِذْ  زَيَّنَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  وَقَالَ  لَا  غَالِبَ  لَكُمُ  ٱلْيَوْمَ  مِنَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  وَإِنِّى  جَارٌ  لَّكُمْ  فَلَمَّا  تَرَآءَتِ  ٱلْفِئَتَانِ  نَكَصَ  عَلَىٰ  عَقِبَيْهِ  وَقَالَ  إِنِّى  بَرِىٓءٌ  مِّنكُمْ  إِنِّىٓ  أَرَىٰ  مَا  لَا  تَرَوْنَ  إِنِّىٓ  أَخَافُ  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱللَّـهُ  شَدِيدُ  ٱلْعِقَابِ wa‑idh zayyana lahumu l‑shayṭānu aʿmālahum wa‑qāla ghāliba lakumu l‑yawma mina l‑nāsi wa‑innī jārun la‑kum fa‑lammā tarāʾati l‑fiʾatāni nakaṣa ʿalā ʿaqibayhi wa‑qāla innī barīʾun minkum innī ara tarawna innī akhāfu allāha wallāhu shadīdu l‑ʿiqābi
Remember Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them, and said: "No one among men can overcome you this day, while I am near to you": But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he turned on his heels, and said: "Lo! I am clear of you; lo! I see what ye see not; Lo! I fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment."

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:17)

مَا  كَانَ  لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ  أَن  يَعْمُرُوا۟  مَسَٰجِدَ  ٱللَّـهِ  شَٰهِدِينَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنفُسِهِم  بِٱلْكُفْرِ  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  وَفِى  ٱلنَّارِ  هُمْ  خَٰلِدُونَ kāna lil‑mushrikīna an yaʿmurū masājida allāhi shāhidīna ʿala anfusihim bil‑kufri ulāʾika ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum wa‑fī l‑nāri hum khālidūna
It is not for such as join gods with Allah, to visit or maintain the mosques of Allah while they witness against their own souls to infidelity. The works of such bear no fruit: In Fire shall they dwell.
(9:37)

إِنَّمَا  ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ  زِيَادَةٌ  فِى  ٱلْكُفْرِ  يُضَلُّ  بِهِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  يُحِلُّونَهُۥ  عَامًا  وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥ  عَامًا  لِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟  عِدَّةَ  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَيُحِلُّوا۟  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  زُيِّنَ  لَهُمْ  سُوٓءُ  أَعْمَٰلِهِمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ innamā l‑nasīu ziyādatun l‑kufri yuḍallu bihi lladhīna kafarū yuḥillūnahu ʿāman wa‑yuḥarrimūnahu ʿāman li‑yuwāṭiʾū ʿiddata ḥarrama allāhu fa‑yuḥillū ḥarrama allāhu zuyyina lahum sūu aʿmālihim wallāhu yahdī l‑qawma l‑kāfirīna
Verily the transposing (of a prohibited month) is an addition to Unbelief: the Unbelievers are led to wrong thereby: for they make it lawful one year, and forbidden another year, in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.
(9:60)

إِنَّمَا  ٱلصَّدَقَٰتُ  لِلْفُقَرَآءِ  وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ  وَٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ  عَلَيْهَا  وَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِ  قُلُوبُهُمْ  وَفِى  ٱلرِّقَابِ  وَٱلْغَٰرِمِينَ  وَفِى  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَٱبْنِ  ٱلسَّبِيلِ  فَرِيضَةً  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلِيمٌ  حَكِيمٌ innamā l‑ṣadaqātu lil‑fuqarāʾi wa‑l‑masākīni wa‑l‑ʿāmilīna ʿalayhā wa‑l‑muʾallafati qulūbuhum wa‑fī l‑riqābi wa‑l‑ghārimīna wa‑fī sabīli allāhi wa‑ibni l‑sabīli farīḍatan mina allāhi wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun
Alms are for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); for those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Truth); for those in bondage and in debt; in the cause of Allah; and for the wayfarer: (thus is it) ordained by Allah, and Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
(9:69)

كَٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِكُمْ  كَانُوٓا۟  أَشَدَّ  مِنكُمْ  قُوَّةً  وَأَكْثَرَ  أَمْوَٰلًا  وَأَوْلَٰدًا  فَٱسْتَمْتَعُوا۟  بِخَلَٰقِهِمْ  فَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم  بِخَلَٰقِكُمْ  كَمَا  ٱسْتَمْتَعَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِكُم  بِخَلَٰقِهِمْ  وَخُضْتُمْ  كَٱلَّذِى  خَاضُوٓا۟  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  حَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ  وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ kalladhīna min qablikum kānū ashadda minkum quwwatan wa‑akthara amwālan wa‑awlādan fa‑istamtaʿū bi‑khalāqihim fa‑istamtaʿtum bikhalāqikum ka‑mā istamtaʿa lladhīna min qablikum bi‑khalāqihim wa‑khuḍtum ka‑lladhī khāḍū ulāʾika ḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum l‑dunyā wa‑l‑akhirati wa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑khāsirūna
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good).

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:15)

مَن  كَانَ  يُرِيدُ  ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَزِينَتَهَا  نُوَفِّ  إِلَيْهِمْ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  فِيهَا  وَهُمْ  فِيهَا  لَا  يُبْخَسُونَ man kāna yurīdu l‑ḥayāta l‑dunyā wa‑zīnatahā nuwaffi ilayhim aʿmālahum fīhā wa‑hum fīhā yubkhasūna
Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter,- to them we shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution.
(11:111)

وَإِنَّ  كُلًّا  لَّمَّا  لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْ  رَبُّكَ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  إِنَّهُۥ  بِمَا  يَعْمَلُونَ  خَبِيرٌ wa‑inna kullan llammā la‑yuwaffiyannahum rabbuka aʿmālahum innahu bi‑mā yaʿmalūna khabīrun
And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do.
(11:121)

وَقُل  لِّلَّذِينَ  لَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ  ٱعْمَلُوا۟  عَلَىٰ  مَكَانَتِكُمْ  إِنَّا  عَٰمِلُونَ wa‑qul li‑lladhīna yuʾminūna iʿmalū ʿalā makānatikum innā ʿāmilūna
Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part;

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:18)

مَّثَلُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  بِرَبِّهِمْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  كَرَمَادٍ  ٱشْتَدَّتْ  بِهِ  ٱلرِّيحُ  فِى  يَوْمٍ  عَاصِفٍ  لَّا  يَقْدِرُونَ  مِمَّا  كَسَبُوا۟  عَلَىٰ  شَىْءٍ  ذَٰلِكَ  هُوَ  ٱلضَّلَٰلُ  ٱلْبَعِيدُ mathalu lladhīna kafarū bi‑rabbihim aʿmāluhum karamādin ishtaddat bihi l‑rīḥu yawmin ʿāṣifin yaqdirūna mimmā kasabū ʿalā shayʾin dhālika huwa l‑ḍalālu l‑baʿīdu
The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:63)

تَٱللَّەِ  لَقَدْ  أَرْسَلْنَآ  إِلَىٰٓ  أُمَمٍ  مِّن  قَبْلِكَ  فَزَيَّنَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  فَهُوَ  وَلِيُّهُمُ  ٱلْيَوْمَ  وَلَهُمْ  عَذَابٌ  أَلِيمٌ ta‑allahi la‑qad arsalnā ila umamin min qablika fa‑zayyana lahumu l‑shayṭānu aʿmālahum fa‑huwa waliyyuhumu l‑yawma wa‑lahum ʿadhābun alīmun
By Allah, We (also) sent (Our messengers) to Peoples before thee; but Satan made, (to the wicked), their own acts seem alluring: He is also their patron today, but they shall have a most grievous penalty.

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:103)

قُلْ  هَلْ  نُنَبِّئُكُم  بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ  أَعْمَٰلًا qul hal nunabbiʾukum bil‑akhsarīna aʿmālan
Say: "Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?-
(18:105)

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  بِـَٔايَٰتِ  رَبِّهِمْ  وَلِقَآئِهِۦ  فَحَبِطَتْ  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  فَلَا  نُقِيمُ  لَهُمْ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  وَزْنًا ulāʾika lladhīna kafarū bi‑āyāti rabbihim wa‑liqāʾihi faḥabiṭat aʿmāluhum fa‑lā nuqīmu lahum yawma l‑qiyāmati waznan
They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight.

Surah 23 al-Muʾminūn (The Believers)
(23:63)

بَلْ  قُلُوبُهُمْ  فِى  غَمْرَةٍ  مِّنْ  هَٰذَا  وَلَهُمْ  أَعْمَٰلٌ  مِّن  دُونِ  ذَٰلِكَ  هُمْ  لَهَا  عَٰمِلُونَ bal qulūbuhum ghamratin min hādhā wa‑lahum aʿmālun min dūni dhālika hum lahā ʿāmilūna
But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,-

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:39)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوٓا۟  أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ  كَسَرَابٍۭ  بِقِيعَةٍ  يَحْسَبُهُ  ٱلظَّمْـَٔانُ  مَآءً  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  جَآءَهُۥ  لَمْ  يَجِدْهُ  شَيْـًٔا  وَوَجَدَ  ٱللَّـهَ  عِندَهُۥ  فَوَفَّىٰهُ  حِسَابَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  سَرِيعُ  ٱلْحِسَابِ wa‑lladhīna kafarū aʿmāluhum kasarābin biqīʿatin yaḥsabuhu l‑ẓamānu māʾan ḥatta idhā jāʾahu lam yajidhu shayʾan wa‑wajada allāha ʿindahu fa‑waffāhu ḥisābahu wallāhu sarīʿu l‑ḥisābi
But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account.

Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant)
(27:4)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  لَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ  بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ  زَيَّنَّا  لَهُمْ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  فَهُمْ  يَعْمَهُونَ inna lladhīna yuʾminūna bil‑akhirati zayyannā lahum aʿmālahum fa‑hum yaʿmahūna
As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction.
(27:24)

وَجَدتُّهَا  وَقَوْمَهَا  يَسْجُدُونَ  لِلشَّمْسِ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَزَيَّنَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  فَصَدَّهُمْ  عَنِ  ٱلسَّبِيلِ  فَهُمْ  لَا  يَهْتَدُونَ wa‑jadttuhā wa‑qawmahā yasjudūna lil‑shamsi min dūni allāhi wa‑zayyana lahumu l‑shayṭānu aʿmālahum fa‑ṣaddahum ʿani l‑sabīli fa‑hum yahtadūna
"I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,-

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:55)

وَإِذَا  سَمِعُوا۟  ٱللَّغْوَ  أَعْرَضُوا۟  عَنْهُ  وَقَالُوا۟  لَنَآ  أَعْمَٰلُنَا  وَلَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  سَلَٰمٌ  عَلَيْكُمْ  لَا  نَبْتَغِى  ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ wa‑idhā samiʿū l‑laghwa aʿraḍū ʿanhu wa‑qālū lanā aʿmālunā wa‑lakum aʿmālukum salāmun ʿalaykum nabtaghī l‑jāhilīna
And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: "To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant."

Surah 29 al-ʿAnkabūt (The Spider)
(29:38)

وَعَادًا  وَثَمُودَا۟  وَقَد  تَّبَيَّنَ  لَكُم  مِّن  مَّسَٰكِنِهِمْ  وَزَيَّنَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  فَصَدَّهُمْ  عَنِ  ٱلسَّبِيلِ  وَكَانُوا۟  مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ wa‑ʿādan wa‑thamūdā wa‑qad tabayyana la‑kum min masākinihim wa‑zayyana lahumu l‑shayṭānu aʿmālahum fa‑ṣaddahum ʿani l‑sabīli wa‑kānū mustabṣirīna
(Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill.
(29:58)

But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness - to them shall We give a Home in Heaven,- lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers,- to dwell therein for aye;- an excellent reward for those who do (good)!-

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:19)

أَشِحَّةً  عَلَيْكُمْ  فَإِذَا  جَآءَ  ٱلْخَوْفُ  رَأَيْتَهُمْ  يَنظُرُونَ  إِلَيْكَ  تَدُورُ  أَعْيُنُهُمْ  كَٱلَّذِى  يُغْشَىٰ  عَلَيْهِ  مِنَ  ٱلْمَوْتِ  فَإِذَا  ذَهَبَ  ٱلْخَوْفُ  سَلَقُوكُم  بِأَلْسِنَةٍ  حِدَادٍ  أَشِحَّةً  عَلَى  ٱلْخَيْرِ  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  لَمْ  يُؤْمِنُوا۟  فَأَحْبَطَ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  وَكَانَ  ذَٰلِكَ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  يَسِيرًا asḥiḥḥatan ʿalaykum fa‑idhā jāa l‑khawfu raʾaytahum yanẓurūna ilayka tadūru aʿyunuhum ka‑lladhī yughsha ʿalayhi mina l‑mawti fa‑idhā dhahaba l‑khawfu salaqūkum bi‑alsinatin ḥidādin asḥiḥḥatan ʿalā l‑khayri ulāʾika lam yuʾminū fa‑aḥbaṭa allāhu aʿmālahum wa‑kāna dhālika ʿalā allāhi yasīran
Covetous over you. Then when fear comes, thou wilt see them looking to thee, their eyes revolving, like (those of) one over whom hovers death: but when the fear is past, they will smite you with sharp tongues, covetous of goods. Such men have no faith, and so Allah has made their deeds of none effect: and that is easy for Allah.
(33:71)

يُصْلِحْ  لَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ  وَيَغْفِرْ  لَكُمْ  ذُنُوبَكُمْ  وَمَن  يُطِعِ  ٱللَّـهَ  وَرَسُولَهُۥ  فَقَدْ  فَازَ  فَوْزًا  عَظِيمًا yuṣliḥ la‑kum aʿmālakum wa‑yaghfir la‑kum dhunūbakum wa‑man yuṭiʿi allāha wa‑rasūlahu fa‑qad fāza fawzan ʿaẓīman
That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the highest achievement.

Surah 37 al-Ṣaffāt (The Rangers)
(37:61)

لِمِثْلِ  هَٰذَا  فَلْيَعْمَلِ  ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ li‑mithli hādhā fa‑l‑yaʿmali l‑ʿāmilūna
For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive.

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:74)

They will say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has truly fulfilled His Promise to us, and has given us (this) land in heritage: We can dwell in the Garden as we will: how excellent a reward for those who work (righteousness)!"

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:5)

وَقَالُوا۟  قُلُوبُنَا  فِىٓ  أَكِنَّةٍ  مِّمَّا  تَدْعُونَآ  إِلَيْهِ  وَفِىٓ  ءَاذَانِنَا  وَقْرٌ  وَمِنۢ  بَيْنِنَا  وَبَيْنِكَ  حِجَابٌ  فَٱعْمَلْ  إِنَّنَا  عَٰمِلُونَ wa‑qālū qulūbunā akinnatin mimmā tadʿūnā ilayhi wa‑fī ādhāninā waqrun wa‑min bayninā wa‑baynika ḥijābun fa‑iʿmal innanā ʿāmilūna
They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)"

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:15)

فَلِذَٰلِكَ  فَٱدْعُ  وَٱسْتَقِمْ  كَمَآ  أُمِرْتَ  وَلَا  تَتَّبِعْ  أَهْوَآءَهُمْ  وَقُلْ  ءَامَنتُ  بِمَآ  أَنزَلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  مِن  كِتَٰبٍ  وَأُمِرْتُ  لِأَعْدِلَ  بَيْنَكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  رَبُّنَا  وَرَبُّكُمْ  لَنَآ  أَعْمَٰلُنَا  وَلَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  لَا  حُجَّةَ  بَيْنَنَا  وَبَيْنَكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  يَجْمَعُ  بَيْنَنَا  وَإِلَيْهِ  ٱلْمَصِيرُ fa‑li‑dhālika fa‑idʿu wa‑istaqim ka‑mā umirta wa‑lā tattabiʿ ahwāʾahum wa‑qul āmantu bimā anzala allāhu min kitābin wa‑umirtu li‑aʿdila baynakumu allāhu rabbunā wa‑rabbukum lanā aʿmālunā wa‑lakum aʿmālukum ḥujjata baynanā wa‑baynakumu allāhu yajmaʿu baynanā wa‑ilayhi l‑maṣīru
Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the Faith), and stand steadfast as thou art commanded, nor follow thou their vain desires; but say: "I believe in the Book which Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord: for us (is the responsibility for) our deeds, and for you for your deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (our) Final Goal.

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:19)

وَلِكُلٍّ  دَرَجَٰتٌ  مِّمَّا  عَمِلُوا۟  وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ  وَهُمْ  لَا  يُظْلَمُونَ wa‑li‑kullin darajātun mimmā ʿamilū wa‑li‑yuwaffiyahum aʿmālahum wa‑hum yuẓlamūna
And to all are (assigned) degrees according to the deeds which they (have done), and in order that (Allah) may recompense their deeds, and no injustice be done to them.

Surah 47 Muḥammad (Muhammad)
(47:1)

ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  وَصَدُّوا۟  عَن  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَضَلَّ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ lladhīna kafarū wa‑ṣaddū ʿan sabīli allāhi aḍalla aʿmālahum
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark).
(47:4)

فَإِذَا  لَقِيتُمُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  فَضَرْبَ  ٱلرِّقَابِ  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَآ  أَثْخَنتُمُوهُمْ  فَشُدُّوا۟  ٱلْوَثَاقَ  فَإِمَّا  مَنًّۢا  بَعْدُ  وَإِمَّا  فِدَآءً  حَتَّىٰ  تَضَعَ  ٱلْحَرْبُ  أَوْزَارَهَا  ذَٰلِكَ  وَلَوْ  يَشَآءُ  ٱللَّـهُ  لَٱنتَصَرَ  مِنْهُمْ  وَلَٰكِن  لِّيَبْلُوَا۟  بَعْضَكُم  بِبَعْضٍ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  قُتِلُوا۟  فِى  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  فَلَن  يُضِلَّ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ fa‑idhā laqītumu lladhīna kafarū fa‑ḍarba l‑riqābi ḥatta idhā athkhantumūhum fa‑shuddū l‑wathāqa fa‑immā mannan baʿdu wa‑immā fidāʾan ḥattā taḍaʿa l‑ḥarbu awzārahā dhālika wa‑law yashāʾu allāhu la‑intaṣara minhum wa‑lākin li‑yabluwā baʿḍakum bi‑baʿḍin wa‑lladhīna qutilū sabīli allāhi fa‑lan yuḍilla aʿmālahum
Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
(47:8)

وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  فَتَعْسًا  لَّهُمْ  وَأَضَلَّ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ wa‑lladhīna kafarū fa‑taʿsan lahum wa‑aḍalla aʿmālahum
But those who reject (Allah),- for them is destruction, and (Allah) will render their deeds astray (from their mark).
(47:9)

ذَٰلِكَ  بِأَنَّهُمْ  كَرِهُوا۟  مَآ  أَنزَلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَأَحْبَطَ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ dhālika bi‑annahum karihū anzala allāhu fa‑aḥbaṭa aʿmālahum
That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless.
(47:28)

ذَٰلِكَ  بِأَنَّهُمُ  ٱتَّبَعُوا۟  مَآ  أَسْخَطَ  ٱللَّـهَ  وَكَرِهُوا۟  رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ  فَأَحْبَطَ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ dhālika bi‑anna‑humu attabaʿū askhaṭa allāha wa‑karihū riḍwānahu fa‑aḥbaṭa aʿmālahum
This because they followed that which called forth the Wrath of Allah, and they hated Allah's good pleasure; so He made their deeds of no effect.
(47:30)

وَلَوْ  نَشَآءُ  لَأَرَيْنَٰكَهُمْ  فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم  بِسِيمَٰهُمْ  وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ  فِى  لَحْنِ  ٱلْقَوْلِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْلَمُ  أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ wa‑law nashāʾu la‑araynākahum fa‑la‑ʿaraftahum bi‑sīmāhum wa‑la‑taʿrifannahum laḥni l‑qawli wallāhu yaʿlamu aʿmālakum
Had We so wiled, We could have shown them up to thee, and thou shouldst have known them by their marks: but surely thou wilt know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all that ye do.
(47:32)

إِنَّ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  وَصَدُّوا۟  عَن  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَشَآقُّوا۟  ٱلرَّسُولَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  مَا  تَبَيَّنَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلْهُدَىٰ  لَن  يَضُرُّوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  شَيْـًٔا  وَسَيُحْبِطُ  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ inna lladhīna kafarū wa‑ṣaddū ʿan sabīli allāhi wa‑shāqqū l‑rasūla min baʿdi tabayyana lahumu l‑hudā lan yaḍurrū allāha shayʾan wa‑sayuḥbiṭu aʿmālahum
Those who reject Allah, hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and resist the Messenger, after Guidance has been clearly shown to them, will not injure Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds of no effect.
(47:33)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَأَطِيعُوا۟  ٱلرَّسُولَ  وَلَا  تُبْطِلُوٓا۟  أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū aṭīʿū allāha wa‑aṭīʿū l‑rasūla wa‑lā tubṭilū aʿmālakum
O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger, and make not vain your deeds!
(47:35)

فَلَا  تَهِنُوا۟  وَتَدْعُوٓا۟  إِلَى  ٱلسَّلْمِ  وَأَنتُمُ  ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ  وَٱللَّـهُ  مَعَكُمْ  وَلَن  يَتِرَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ fa‑lā tahinū wa‑tadʿū ilā l‑salmi wa‑antumu l‑aʿlawna wallāhu maʿakum wa‑lan yatirakum aʿmālakum
Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds.

Surah 49 al-Ḥujurāt (The Chambers)
(49:2)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تَرْفَعُوٓا۟  أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ  فَوْقَ  صَوْتِ  ٱلنَّبِىِّ  وَلَا  تَجْهَرُوا۟  لَهُۥ  بِٱلْقَوْلِ  كَجَهْرِ  بَعْضِكُمْ  لِبَعْضٍ  أَن  تَحْبَطَ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  وَأَنتُمْ  لَا  تَشْعُرُونَ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tarfaʿū aṣwātakum fawqa ṣawti l‑nabiyyi wa‑lā tajharū lahu bil‑qawli kajahri baʿḍikum li‑baʿḍin an taḥbaṭa aʿmālukum wa‑antum tashʿurūna
O ye who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not.
(49:14)

قَالَتِ  ٱلْأَعْرَابُ  ءَامَنَّا  قُل  لَّمْ  تُؤْمِنُوا۟  وَلَٰكِن  قُولُوٓا۟  أَسْلَمْنَا  وَلَمَّا  يَدْخُلِ  ٱلْإِيمَٰنُ  فِى  قُلُوبِكُمْ  وَإِن  تُطِيعُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَرَسُولَهُۥ  لَا  يَلِتْكُم  مِّنْ  أَعْمَٰلِكُمْ  شَيْـًٔا  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ qālati l‑aʿrābu āmannā qul lam tūʾminū wa‑lākin qūlū aslamnā wa‑lammā yadkhuli l‑īmānu qulūbikum wa‑in tuṭīʿū allāha wa‑rasūlahu yalitkum min aʿmālikum shayʾan inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
The desert Arabs say, "We believe." Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye (only)say, 'We have submitted our wills to Allah,' For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Surah 99 al-Zalzalah (The Shaking)
(99:6)

يَوْمَئِذٍ  يَصْدُرُ  ٱلنَّاسُ  أَشْتَاتًا  لِّيُرَوْا۟  أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ yawmaʾidhin yaṣduru l‑nāsu ashtātan li‑yuraw aʿmālahum
On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).
