Sura al-Raʿd 13:6

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

wa-yastaʿjilūnaka bil-sayyiʾati qabla l-ḥasanati wa-qad khalat min qablihimu l-mathulātu wa-inna rabbaka la-dhū maghfiratin lil-nāsi ʿalā ẓulmihim wa-inna rabbaka la-shadīdu l-ʿiqābi

They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment.
