Sura al-Baqara 2:165

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ أَندَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّـهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ أَنَّ ٱلْقُوَّةَ لِلَّـهِ جَمِيعًا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعَذَابِ

wa-mina l-nāsi man yattakhidhu min dūni allāhi andādan yuḥibbūnahum ka-ḥubbi allāhi wa-lladhīna āmanū ashaddu ḥubban lillāhi wa-law yarā lladhīna ẓalamū idh yarawna l-ʿadhāba annā l-qūwata lillāhi jamīʿan wa-anna allāha shadīdu l-ʿadhābi

Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty.

Sura al-Baqara 2:190

وَقَٰتِلُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

wa-qātilū fī sabīli allāhi lladhīna yuqātilūnakum wa-lā taʿtadū inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-muʿtadīna

Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.

Sura al-Baqara 2:195

وَأَنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا۟ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى ٱلتَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

wa-anfiqū fī sabīli allāhi wa-lā tulqū bi-aydīkum ilā l-tahlukati wa-aḥsinū inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīna

And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.

Sura al-Baqara 2:205

وَإِذَا تَوَلَّىٰ سَعَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ ٱلْحَرْثَ وَٱلنَّسْلَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْفَسَادَ

wa-idhā tawalla saʿā fī l-arḍi li-yufsida fīhā wa-yuhlika l-ḥartha wa-l-nasla wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-fasāda

When he turns his back, His aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth not mischief.

Sura al-Baqara 2:216

كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

kutiba ʿalaykumu l-qitālu wa-huwa kurhun la-kum waʿasa an takrahū shayʾan wa-huwa khayrun la-kum wa-ʿasa an tuḥibbū shayʾan wa-huwa sharrun la-kum wallāhu yaʿlamu wa-antum lā taʿlamūna

Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Sura al-Baqara 2:222

وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فِى ٱلْمَحِيضِ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

wa-yasʾalūnaka ʿani l-maḥīḍi qul huwa adhan faʿtazilū l-nisāʾa fī l-maḥīḍi wa-lā taqrabūhunna ḥattā yaṭhurna fa-idhā taṭahharna fatūhunna min ḥaythu amarakumu allāhu inna allāha yuḥibbu l-tawwābīna wa-yuḥibbu l-mutaṭahhirīna

They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

Sura al-Baqara 2:276

يَمْحَقُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ وَيُرْبِى ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ

yamḥaqu allāhu l-ribā wa-yurbī l-ṣadaqāti wallāhu lā yuḥibbu kulla kaffārin athīmin

Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity: For He loveth not creatures ungrateful and wicked.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:31

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّـهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

qul in kuntum tuḥibbūna allāha fa-ittabiʿūnī yuḥbibkumu allāhu wa-yaghfir la-kum dhunūbakum wallāhu ghafūrun raḥīmun

Say: "If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:32

قُلْ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

qul aṭīʿū allāha wa-l-rasūla fa-in tawallaw fa-inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-kāfirīna

Say: "Obey Allah and His Messenger": But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:57

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-ammā lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti fa-yuwaffīhim ujūrahum wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-ẓālimīna

"As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allah will pay them (in full) their reward; but Allah loveth not those who do wrong."

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:76

بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِۦ وَٱتَّقَىٰ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

balā man awfā biʿahdihi wa-ittaqā fa-inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muttaqīna

Nay.- Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright,-verily Allah loves those who act aright.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:92

لَن تَنَالُوا۟ ٱلْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ

lan tanālū l-birra ḥattā tunfiqū mimmā tuḥibbūna wa-mā tunfiqū min shayʾin fa-inna allāha bihi ʿalīmun

By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:119

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ أُو۟لَآءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ كُلِّهِۦ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا۟ عَضُّوا۟ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْأَنَامِلَ مِنَ ٱلْغَيْظِ قُلْ مُوتُوا۟ بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

hā-antum ūlāʾi tuḥibbūnahum wa-lā yuḥibbūnakum wa-tuminūna bil-kitābi kullihi wa-idhā laqūkum qālū āmannā wa-idhā khalaw ʿaḍḍū ʿalaykumu l-anāmila mina l-ghayẓi qul mūtū bighayẓikum inna allāha ʿalīmun bi-dhāti l-ṣudūri

Ah! ye are those who love them, but they love you not,- though ye believe in the whole of the Book. When they meet you, they say, "We believe": But when they are alone, they bite off the very tips of their fingers at you in their rage. Say: "Perish in you rage; Allah knoweth well all the secrets of the heart."

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:134

ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

lladhīna yunfiqūna fī l-sarrāi wa-l-ḍarrāʾi wa-l-kāẓimīna l-ghayẓa wa-l-ʿāfīna ʿani l-nāsi wallāhu yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīna

Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;-

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:140

إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُۥ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَآءَ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

in yamsaskum qarḥun fa-qad massa l-qawma qarḥun mithluhu wa-tilka l-ayyāmu nudāwiluhā bayna l-nāsi wa-li-yaʿlama allāhu lladhīna āmanū wa-yattakhidha minkum shuhadāʾa wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-ẓālimīna

If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:146

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِىٍّ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا۟ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا۟ وَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

wakaayyin min nabiyyin qātala maʿahu ribbīyūna kathīrun fa-mā wahanū limā aṣābahum fī sabīli allāhi wa-mā ḍaʿufū wa-mā astakānū wallāhu yuḥibbu l-ṣābirīna

How many of the prophets fought (in Allah's way), and with them (fought) Large bands of godly men? but they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah's way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:148

فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

fa-ātāhumu allāhu thawāba l-dunyā wa-ḥusna thawābi l-akhirati wallāhu yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīna

And Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allah Loveth those who do good.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:152

وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ وَعْدَهُۥٓ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِۦ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَرَىٰكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa-la-qad ṣadaqakumu allāhu waʿdahu idh taḥussūnahum bi-idhnihi ḥatta idhā fashiltum wa-tanāzaʿtum fī l-amri wa-ʿaṣaytum min baʿdi mā arākum mā tuḥibbūna minkum man yurīdu l-dunyā wa-minkum man yurīdu l-akhirata thumma ṣarafakum ʿanhum li-yabtaliyakum wa-la-qad ʿafā ʿankum wallāhu dhū faḍlin ʿalā l-muʾminīna

Allah did indeed fulfil His promise to you when ye with His permission Were about to annihilate your enemy,-until ye flinched and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the booty) which ye covet. Among you are some that hanker after this world and some that desire the Hereafter. Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you but He forgave you: For Allah is full of grace to those who believe.

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:159

فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلْقَلْبِ لَٱنفَضُّوا۟ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

fa-bimā raḥmatin mina allāhi linta lahum wa-law kunta faẓẓan ghalīẓa l-qalbi la-infaḍḍū min ḥawlika faʿfu ʿanhum wa-istaghfir lahum wa-shāwirhum fī l-amri fa-idhā ʿazamta fa-tawakkal ʿalā allāhi inna allāha yuḥibbu l-mutawakkilīna

It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (Their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:188

لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أَتَوا۟ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحْمَدُوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا۟ فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّهُم بِمَفَازَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

lā taḥsabanna lladhīna yafraḥūna bimā ātaw wwa-yuḥibbūna an yuḥmadū bi-mā lam yafʿalū fa-lā taḥsabannahum bimafāzatin mina l-ʿadhābi wa-lahum ʿadhābun alīmun

Think not that those who exult in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think escape the penalty. For them is a penalty Grievous indeed.

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:36

وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًا وَبِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱلْجَارِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْجَارِ ٱلْجُنُبِ وَٱلصَّاحِبِ بِٱلْجَنۢبِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا

wa-iʿbudū allāha wa-lā tushrikū bihi shayʾan wa-bil-wālidayni iḥsānan wa-bidhī l-qurbā wa-l-yatāmā wa-l-masākīni wa-l-jāri dhī l-qurbā wa-l-jāri l-junubi wa-l-ṣāḥibi bil-janbi wa-ibni l-sabīli wa-mā malakat aymānukum inna allāha lā yuḥibbu man kāna mukhtālan fakhūran

Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious;-

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:107

وَلَا تُجَٰدِلْ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ خَوَّانًا أَثِيمًا

wa-lā tujādil ʿani lladhīna yakhtānūna anfusahum inna allāha lā yuḥibbu man kāna khawwānan athīman

Contend not on behalf of such as betray their own souls; for Allah loveth not one given to perfidy and crime:

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:148

لَّا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْجَهْرَ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ سَمِيعًا عَلِيمًا

lā yuḥibbu allāhu l-jahra bil-sūʾi mina l-qawli illā man ẓulima wa-kāna allāhu samīʿan ʿalīman

Allah loveth not that evil should be noised abroad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He who heareth and knoweth all things.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:13

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَٰسِيَةً يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱصْفَحْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

fa-bimā naqḍihim mīthāqahum laʿannāhum wa-jaʿalnā qulūbahum qāsiyatan yuḥarrifūna l-kalima ʿan mawāḍiʿihi wanasū ḥaẓẓan mimmā dhukkirū bihi wa-lā tazālu taṭṭaliʿu ʿalā khāʾinatin minhum illā qalīlan minhum faʿfu ʿanhum wa-iṣfaḥ inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīna

But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:42

سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّٰلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًٔا وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ

sammāʿūna lil-kadhibi akkālūna lil-suḥti fa-in jāʾūka fa-iḥkum baynahum aw aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa-in tuʿriḍ ʿanhum fa-lan yaḍurrūka shayʾan wa-in ḥakamta fa-iḥkum baynahum bil-qisṭi inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muqsiṭīna

(They are fond of) listening to falsehood, of devouring anything forbidden. If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere. If thou decline, they cannot hurt thee in the least. If thou judge, judge in equity between them. For Allah loveth those who judge in equity.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:54

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّـهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ يُجَٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّـهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّـهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū man yartadda minkum ʿan dīnihi fa-sawfa yaʾtī allāhu biqawmin yuḥibbuhum wa-yuḥibbūnahu adhillatin ʿalā l-muʾminīna aʿizzatin ʿalā l-kāfirīna yujāhidūna fī sabīli allāhi wa-lā yakhāfūna lawmata lāʾimin dhālika faḍlu allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun

O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:64

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّـهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا۟ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُوا۟ نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا ٱللَّـهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

waqālati l-yahūdu yadu allāhi maghlūlatun ghullat aydīhim wa-luʿinū bi-mā qālū bal yadāhu mabsūṭatāni yunfiqu kayfa yashāʾu wa-la-yazīdanna kathīran minhum mā unzila ilayka min rabbika ṭughyānan wa-kufran wa-l-qaynā baynahumu l-ʿadāwata wa-l-baghḍāʾa ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati kullamā awqadū nāran lil-ḥarbi aṭfaʾahā allāhu wa-yasʿawna fī l-arḍi fasādan wallāhu lā yuḥibbu l-mufsidīna

The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:87

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tuḥarrimū ṭayyibāti mā aḥalla allāhu la-kum wa-lā taʿtadū inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-muʿtadīna

O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:93

لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

laysa ʿalā lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti junāḥun fī-mā ṭaʿimū idhā mā ittaqaw wa-āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti thumma ittaqaw wa-āmanū thumma ittaqaw wa-aḥsanū wallāhu yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīna

On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For Allah loveth those who do good.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:76

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْأَفِلِينَ

fa-lammā janna ʿalayhi l-laylu raʾā kawkaban qalā hādhā rabbī fa-lammā afala qalā lā uḥibbu l-afilīna

When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."

Sura al-Anʿām 6:141

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٍ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٍ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ كُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

wa-huwa alladhī anshaa jannātin maʿrūshātin wa-ghayra maʿrūshātin wa-l-nakhla wa-l-zarʿa mukhtalifan ukuluhu wa-l-zaytūna wa-l-rummāna mutashābihan wa-ghayra mutashābihin kulū min thamarihi idhā athmara wa-ātū ḥaqqahu yawma ḥaṣādihi wa-lā tusrifū innahu lā yuḥibbu l-musrifīna

It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:31

يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ خُذُوا۟ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

yā-banī ādama khudhū zīnatakum ʿinda kulli masjidin wa-kulū wa-ishrabū wa-lā tusrifū innahu lā yuḥibbu l-musrifīna

O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:55

ٱدْعُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

idʿū rabbakum taḍarruʿan wa-khufyatan innahu lā yuḥibbu l-muʿtadīna

Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:79

فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّى وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُحِبُّونَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ

fa-tawallā ʿanhum wa-qāla yā-qawmi la-qad ablaghtukum risālata rabbī wa-naṣaḥtu la-kum wa-lākin lā tuḥibbūna l-nāṣiḥīna

So Salih left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!"

Sura al-Anfāl 8:58

وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِن قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَٱنۢبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ

wa-immā takhāfanna min qawmin khiyānatan fa-inbidh ilayhim ʿalā sawāʾin inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-khāʾinīna

If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: for Allah loveth not the treacherous.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:4

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَمْ يُظَٰهِرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

illā lladhīna ʿāhadttum mina l-mushrikīna thumma lam yanquṣūkum shayʾan wa-lam yuẓāhirū ʿalaykum aḥadan fa-atimmū ilayhim ʿahdahum ilā muddatihim inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muttaqīna

(But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term: for Allah loveth the righteous.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:7

كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ فَمَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟ لَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

kayfa yakūnu lil-mushrikīna ʿahdun ʿinda allāhi wa-ʿinda rasūlihi illā lladhīna ʿāhadttum ʿinda l-masjidi l-ḥarāmi fa-mā istaqāmū la-kum fa-istaqīmū lahum inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muttaqīna

How can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for Allah doth love the righteous.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:108

لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ وَٱللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ

lā taqum fīhi abadan la-masjidun ussisa ʿalā l-taqwā min awwali yawmin aḥaqqu an taqūma fīhi fīhi rijālun yuḥibbūna an yataṭahharū wallāhu yuḥibbu l-muṭṭahhirīna

Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:23

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ

lā jarama annā allāha yaʿlamu mā yusirrūna wa-mā yuʿlinūna innahu lā yuḥibbu l-mustakbirīna

Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant.

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:38

إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ

inna allāha yudāfiʿu ʿani lladhīna āmanū inna allāha lā yuḥibbu kulla khawwānin kafūrin

Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe: verily, Allah loveth not any that is a traitor to faith, or show ingratitude.

Sura al-Nūr 24:19

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَٱللَّـهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

inna lladhīna yuḥibbūna an tashīʿa l-fāḥishatu fī lladhīna āmanū lahum ʿadhābun alīmun fī l-dunyā wa-l-akhirati wallāhu yaʿlamu wa-antum lā taʿlamūna

Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.

Sura al-Nūr 24:22

وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَٱلسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

wa-lā yaʾtali ūlū l-faḍli minkum wa-l-saʿati an yuʾtū ūlī l-qurbā wa-l-masākīna wa-l-muhājirīna fī sabīli allāhi wa-lyaʿfū wa-l-yaṣfaḥū āla tuḥibbūna an yaghfira allāhu la-kum wallāhu ghafūrun raḥīmun

Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:56

إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِى مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

innaka lā tahdī man aḥbabta wa-lākinna allāha yahdī man yashāʾu wa-huwa aʿlamu bil-muhtadīna

It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one, whom thou lovest; but Allah guides those whom He will and He knows best those who receive guidance.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:76

إِنَّ قَٰرُونَ كَانَ مِن قَوْمِ مُوسَىٰ فَبَغَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْكُنُوزِ مَآ إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُۥ لَتَنُوٓأُ بِٱلْعُصْبَةِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُوَّةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ لَا تَفْرَحْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْفَرِحِينَ

inna qārūna kāna min qawmi mūsā fa-baghā ʿalayhim wa-ātaynāhu mina l-kunūzi mā inna mafātiḥahu la-tanūʾu bil-ʿuṣbati ūlī l-quwwati idh qalā lahu qawmuhu lā tafraḥ inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-fariḥīna

Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures We had bestowed on him that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men, behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches).

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:77

وَٱبْتَغِ فِيمَآ ءَاتَىٰكَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ وَلَا تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَأَحْسِن كَمَآ أَحْسَنَ ٱللَّـهُ إِلَيْكَ وَلَا تَبْغِ ٱلْفَسَادَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

wa-ibtaghi fīmā atāka allāhu l-dāra l-akhirata wa-lā tansā naṣībaka mina l-dunyā wa-aḥsin ka-mā aḥsana allāhu ilayka wa-lā tabghi l-fasāda fī l-arḍi inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-mufsidīna

"But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief."

Sura al-Rūm 30:45

لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

li-yajziya lladhīna āmanū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti min faḍlihi innahu lā yuḥibbu l-kāfirīna

That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his Bounty. For He loves not those who reject Faith.

Sura Luqmān 31:18

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ

wa-lā tuṣaʿʿir khaddaka lil-nāsi wa-lā tamshi fī l-arḍi maraḥan inna allāha lā yuḥibbu kulla mukhtālin fakhūrin

"And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.

Sura Ṣād 38:32

فَقَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ ٱلْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّى حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِٱلْحِجَابِ

fa-qāla innī aḥbabtu ḥubba l-khayri ʿan dhikri rabbī ḥattā tawārat bil-ḥijābi

And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night):

Sura al-Shūrā 42:40

وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِّثْلُهَا فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-jazāʾu sayyiʾatin sayyiʾatun mithluhā fa-man ʿafā wa-aṣlaḥa fa-ajruhu ʿalā allāhi innahu lā yuḥibbu l-ẓālimīna

The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong.

Sura al-Ḥujurāt 49:9

وَإِن طَآئِفَتَانِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِنۢ بَغَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى تَبْغِى حَتَّىٰ تَفِىٓءَ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن فَآءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ

wa-in ṭāʾifatāni mina l-muʾminīna iqtatalū fa-aṣliḥū baynahumā fa-in baghat iḥdāhumā ʿalā l-ukhrā fa-qātilū allatī tabghī ḥattā tafīʾa ila amri allāhi fa-in fāʾat fa-aṣliḥū baynahumā bil-ʿadli wa-aqsiṭū inna allāha yuḥibbu l-muqsiṭīna

If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just).
