Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:42

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَعَصَوُا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ ٱللَّـهَ حَدِيثًا

yawmaʾidhin yawaddu lladhīna kafarū wa-ʿaṣawu l-rasūla law tusawwa bihimu l-arḍu wa-lā yaktumūna allāha ḥadīthan

On that day those who reject Faith and disobey the messenger will wish that the earth Were made one with them: But never will they hide a single fact from Allah!

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:78

أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا۟ يُدْرِككُّمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِى بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّـهِ فَمَالِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا

aynamā takūnū yudrikkkumu l-mawtu wa-law kuntum fī burūjin mushayyadatin wa-in tuṣibhum ḥasanatun yaqūlū hādhihi min ʿindi allāhi wa-in tuṣibhum sayyiʾatun yaqūlū hādhihi min ʿindika qul kullun min ʿindi allāhi fa-māli hāʾulāʾi l-qawmi lā yakādūna yafqahūna ḥadīthan

"Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls them, they say, "This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say, "This is from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact?

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:87

ٱللَّـهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ حَدِيثًا

allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa la-yajmaʿannakum ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati lā rayba fīhi wa-man aṣdaqu mina allāhi ḥadīthan

Allah! There is no god but He: of a surety He will gather you together against the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. And whose word can be truer than Allah's?

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:185

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا۟ فِى مَلَكُوتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّـهُ مِن شَىْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ ٱقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

a-wa-lam yanẓurū fī malakūti l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍi wa-mā khalaqa allāhu min shayʾin wa-an ʿasā an yakūna qadi iqtaraba ajaluhum fa-bi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿdahu yuʾminūna

Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?

Sura Yūsuf 12:111

لَقَدْ كَانَ فِى قَصَصِهِمْ عِبْرَةٌ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ مَا كَانَ حَدِيثًا يُفْتَرَىٰ وَلَٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

la-qad kāna fī qaṣaṣihim ʿibratun li-lūlī l-albābi mā kāna ḥadīthan yuftara wa-lākin taṣdīqa alladhī bayna yadayhi wa-tafṣīla kulli shayʾin wa-hudan wa-raḥmatan li-qawmin yuʾminūna

There is, in their stories, instruction for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it,- a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to any such as believe.

Sura al-Jāthiyah 45:6

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّـهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ

tilka āyātu allāhi natlūhā ʿalayka bil-ḥaqqi fa-bi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿda allāhi wa-āyātihi yuʾminūna

Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to thee in Truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs?

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:34

فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ

fa-l-yaʾtū biḥadīthin mithlihi in kānū ṣādiqīna

Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth!

Sura al-Taḥrīm 66:3

وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِلَىٰ بَعْضِ أَزْوَٰجِهِۦ حَدِيثًا فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَتْ بِهِۦ وَأَظْهَرَهُ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِ عَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُۥ وَأَعْرَضَ عَنۢ بَعْضٍ فَلَمَّا نَبَّأَهَا بِهِۦ قَالَتْ مَنْ أَنۢبَأَكَ هَٰذَا قَالَ نَبَّأَنِىَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

wa-idh asarra l-nabiyyu ilā baʿḍi azwājihi ḥadīthan fa-lammā nabbaʾat bihi wa-aẓharahu allāhu ʿalayhi ʿarrafa baʿḍahu wa-aʿraḍa ʿan baʿḍin fa-lammā nabbaʾahā bihi qālat man anbaʾaka hādhā qalā nabbaʾaniya l-ʿalīmu l-khabīru

When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."

Sura al-Mursalāt 77:50

فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

fa-bi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿdahu yuʾminūna

Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?
