Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:76)

وَإِذَا  لَقُوا۟  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  قَالُوٓا۟  ءَامَنَّا  وَإِذَا  خَلَا  بَعْضُهُمْ  إِلَىٰ  بَعْضٍ  قَالُوٓا۟  أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم  بِمَا  فَتَحَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْكُمْ  لِيُحَآجُّوكُم  بِهِۦ  عِندَ  رَبِّكُمْ  أَفَلَا  تَعْقِلُونَ wa‑idhā laqū lladhīna āmanū qālū āmannā wa‑idhā khalā baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin qālū atuḥaddithūnahum bi‑mā fataḥa allāhu ʿalaykum li‑yuḥājjūkum bihi ʿinda rabbikum a‑fa‑lā taʿqilūna
Behold! when they meet the men of Faith, they say: "We believe": But when they meet each other in private, they say: "Shall you tell them what Allah hath revealed to you, that they may engage you in argument about it before your Lord?"- Do ye not understand (their aim)?
(2:139)

قُلْ  أَتُحَآجُّونَنَا  فِى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَهُوَ  رَبُّنَا  وَرَبُّكُمْ  وَلَنَآ  أَعْمَٰلُنَا  وَلَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  وَنَحْنُ  لَهُۥ  مُخْلِصُونَ qul atuḥājjūnanā allāhi wa‑huwa rabbunā wa‑rabbukum wa‑lanā aʿmālunā wa‑lakum aʿmālukum wa‑naḥnu lahu mukhliṣūna
Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that We are sincere (in our faith) in Him?
(2:258)

أَلَمْ  تَرَ  إِلَى  ٱلَّذِى  حَآجَّ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ  فِى  رَبِّهِۦٓ  أَنْ  ءَاتَىٰهُ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلْمُلْكَ  إِذْ  قَالَ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ  رَبِّىَ  ٱلَّذِى  يُحْىِۦ  وَيُمِيتُ  قَالَ  أَنَا۠  أُحْىِۦ  وَأُمِيتُ  قَالَ  إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَأْتِى  بِٱلشَّمْسِ  مِنَ  ٱلْمَشْرِقِ  فَأْتِ  بِهَا  مِنَ  ٱلْمَغْرِبِ  فَبُهِتَ  ٱلَّذِى  كَفَرَ  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ a‑lam tara ilā alladhī ḥājja ibrāhīma rabbihi an ātahu allāhu l‑mulka idh qalā ibrāhīmu rabbiya alladhī yuḥyi wa‑yumītu qalā anā uḥyi wa‑umītu qalā ibrāhīmu fa‑inna allāha yaʾtī bil‑shamsi mina l‑mashriqi fa‑ʾti bihā mina l‑maghribi fa‑buhita alladhī kafara wallāhu yahdī l‑qawma l‑ẓālimīna
Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said: "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:20)

فَإِنْ  حَآجُّوكَ  فَقُلْ  أَسْلَمْتُ  وَجْهِىَ  لِلَّـهِ  وَمَنِ  ٱتَّبَعَنِ  وَقُل  لِّلَّذِينَ  أُوتُوا۟  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  وَٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ  ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ  فَإِنْ  أَسْلَمُوا۟  فَقَدِ  ٱهْتَدَوا۟  وَّإِن  تَوَلَّوْا۟  فَإِنَّمَا  عَلَيْكَ  ٱلْبَلَٰغُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  بَصِيرٌۢ  بِٱلْعِبَادِ fa‑in ḥājjūka fa‑qul aslamtu wajhiya lillāhi wa‑mani ittabaʿani wa‑qul li‑lladhīna ūtū l‑kitāba wa‑l‑ummīyina a‑aslamtum fa‑in aslamū fa‑qadi ihtadaw wa‑in tawallaw fa‑innamā ʿalayka l‑balāghu wallāhu baṣīrun bil‑ʿibādi
So if they dispute with thee, say: "I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: "Do ye (also) submit yourselves?" If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allah's sight are (all) His servants.
(3:61)

فَمَنْ  حَآجَّكَ  فِيهِ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  مَا  جَآءَكَ  مِنَ  ٱلْعِلْمِ  فَقُلْ  تَعَالَوْا۟  نَدْعُ  أَبْنَآءَنَا  وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ  وَنِسَآءَنَا  وَنِسَآءَكُمْ  وَأَنفُسَنَا  وَأَنفُسَكُمْ  ثُمَّ  نَبْتَهِلْ  فَنَجْعَل  لَّعْنَتَ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَى  ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ fa‑man ḥājjaka fīhi min baʿdi jāʾaka mina l‑ʿilmi fa‑qul taʿālaw nadʿu abnāʾanā wa‑abnāʾakum wa‑nisāʾanā wa‑nisāʾakum wa‑anfusanā wa‑anfusakum thumma nabtahil fa‑najʿal llaʿnata allāhi ʿalā l‑kādhibīna
If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"
(3:65)

يَٰٓأَهْلَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  لِمَ  تُحَآجُّونَ  فِىٓ  إِبْرَٰهِيمَ  وَمَآ  أُنزِلَتِ  ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ  وَٱلْإِنجِيلُ  إِلَّا  مِنۢ  بَعْدِهِۦٓ  أَفَلَا  تَعْقِلُونَ yāʾahla l‑kitābi lima tuḥājjūna ibrāhīma wa‑mā unzilati l‑tawratu wa‑alinjīlu illā min baʿdihi a‑fa‑lā taʿqilūna
Ye People of the Book! Why dispute ye about Abraham, when the Law and the Gospel Were not revealed Till after him? Have ye no understanding?
(3:66)

هَٰٓأَنتُمْ  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  حَٰجَجْتُمْ  فِيمَا  لَكُم  بِهِۦ  عِلْمٌ  فَلِمَ  تُحَآجُّونَ  فِيمَا  لَيْسَ  لَكُم  بِهِۦ  عِلْمٌ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْلَمُ  وَأَنتُمْ  لَا  تَعْلَمُونَ hā‑antum hāʾulāʾi ḥājajtum fī‑mā la‑kum bihi ʿilmun falima tuḥājjūna fī‑mā laysa la‑kum bihi ʿilmun wallāhu yaʿlamu wa‑antum taʿlamūna
Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and ye who know not!
(3:73)

وَلَا  تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟  إِلَّا  لِمَن  تَبِعَ  دِينَكُمْ  قُلْ  إِنَّ  ٱلْهُدَىٰ  هُدَى  ٱللَّـهِ  أَن  يُؤْتَىٰٓ  أَحَدٌ  مِّثْلَ  مَآ  أُوتِيتُمْ  أَوْ  يُحَآجُّوكُمْ  عِندَ  رَبِّكُمْ  قُلْ  إِنَّ  ٱلْفَضْلَ  بِيَدِ  ٱللَّـهِ  يُؤْتِيهِ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  وَٰسِعٌ  عَلِيمٌ wa‑lā tūʾminū illā li‑man tabiʿa dīnakum qul inna l‑hudā huda allāhi an yuʾtā aḥadun mithla ūtītum aw yuḥājjūkum ʿinda rabbikum qul inna l‑faḍla bi‑yadi allāhi yuʾtīhi man yashāʾu wallāhu wāsiʿun ʿalīmun
"And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say: "True guidance is the Guidance of Allah: (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those (Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord?" Say: "All bounties are in the hand of Allah: He granteth them to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:80)

وَحَآجَّهُۥ  قَوْمُهُۥ  قَالَ  أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى  فِى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَقَدْ  هَدَىٰنِ  وَلَآ  أَخَافُ  مَا  تُشْرِكُونَ  بِهِۦٓ  إِلَّآ  أَن  يَشَآءَ  رَبِّى  شَيْـًٔا  وَسِعَ  رَبِّى  كُلَّ  شَىْءٍ  عِلْمًا  أَفَلَا  تَتَذَكَّرُونَ waḥājjahu qawmuhu qalā atuḥājjūnnī allāhi wa‑qad hadani wa‑lā akhāfu tushrikūna bihi illā an yashāʾa rabbī shayʾan wasiʿa rabbī kulla shayʾin ʿilman a‑fa‑lā tatadhakkarūna
His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about Allah, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with Allah: Unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowledge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be admonished?

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:16)

But those who dispute concerning Allah after He has been accepted,- futile is their dispute in the Sight of their Lord: on them will be a Penalty terrible.
