Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)

(3:122)

إِذْ  هَمَّت  طَّآئِفَتَانِ  مِنكُمْ  أَن  تَفْشَلَا  وَٱللَّـهُ  وَلِيُّهُمَا  وَعَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ idh hammat ṭāʾifatāni minkum an tafshalā wallāhu waliyyuhumā wa‑ʿalā allāhi fa‑l‑yatawakkali l‑muʾminūna
Remember two of your parties Meditated cowardice; but Allah was their protector, and in Allah should the faithful (Ever) put their trust.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:156)

أَن  تَقُولُوٓا۟  إِنَّمَآ  أُنزِلَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبُ  عَلَىٰ  طَآئِفَتَيْنِ  مِن  قَبْلِنَا  وَإِن  كُنَّا  عَن  دِرَاسَتِهِمْ  لَغَٰفِلِينَ an taqūlū innamā unzila l‑kitābu ʿalā ṭāʾifatayni min qablinā wa‑in kunnā ʿan dirāsatihim la‑ghāfilīna
Lest ye should say: "The Book was sent down to two Peoples before us, and for our part, we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by assiduous study:"

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:7)

وَإِذْ  يَعِدُكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  إِحْدَى  ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ  أَنَّهَا  لَكُمْ  وَتَوَدُّونَ  أَنَّ  غَيْرَ  ذَاتِ  ٱلشَّوْكَةِ  تَكُونُ  لَكُمْ  وَيُرِيدُ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَن  يُحِقَّ  ٱلْحَقَّ  بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ  وَيَقْطَعَ  دَابِرَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ wa‑idh yaʿidukumu allāhu iḥda l‑ṭāʾifatayni annahā la‑kum wa‑tawaddūna annā ghayra dhāti l‑shawkati takūnu la‑kum wa‑yurīdu allāhu an yuḥiqqa l‑ḥaqqa bi‑kalimātihi wa‑yaqṭaʿa dābira l‑kāfirīna
Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;-

Surah 49 al-Ḥujurāt (The Chambers)
(49:9)

وَإِن  طَآئِفَتَانِ  مِنَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟  فَأَصْلِحُوا۟  بَيْنَهُمَا  فَإِنۢ  بَغَتْ  إِحْدَىٰهُمَا  عَلَى  ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ  فَقَٰتِلُوا۟  ٱلَّتِى  تَبْغِى  حَتَّىٰ  تَفِىٓءَ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَمْرِ  ٱللَّـهِ  فَإِن  فَآءَتْ  فَأَصْلِحُوا۟  بَيْنَهُمَا  بِٱلْعَدْلِ  وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُحِبُّ  ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ wa‑in ṭāʾifatāni mina l‑muʾminīna iqtatalū fa‑aṣliḥū baynahumā fa‑in baghat iḥdāhumā ʿalā l‑ukhrā fa‑qātilū allatī tabghī ḥattā tafīʾa ila amri allāhi fa‑in fāʾat fa‑aṣliḥū baynahumā bil‑ʿadli wa‑aqsiṭū inna allāha yuḥibbu l‑muqsiṭīna
If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just).
