Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:64

قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍۭ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُولُوا۟ ٱشْهَدُوا۟ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ

qul yāʾahla l-kitābi taʿālaw ilā kalimatin sawāʾin baynanā wa-baynakum allā naʿbuda illā allāha wa-lā nushrika bihi shayʾan wa-lā yattakhidha baʿḍunā baʿḍan arbāban min dūni allāhi fa-in tawallaw fa-qūlū ishhadū bi-annā muslimūna

Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:25

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِى وَأَخِى فَٱفْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ

qalā rabbi innī lā amliku illā nafsī wa-akhī fafruq baynanā wa-bayna l-qawmi l-fāsiqīna

He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!"

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:87

وَإِن كَانَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنكُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦ وَطَآئِفَةٌ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ فَٱصْبِرُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّـهُ بَيْنَنَا وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ

wa-in kāna ṭāʾifatun minkum āmanū bi-lladhī ursiltu bihi wa-ṭāifatun lam yuʾminū faṣbirū ḥattā yaḥkuma allāhu baynanā wa-huwa khayru l-ḥākimīna

"And if there is a party among you who believes in the message with which I have been sent, and a party which does not believe, hold yourselves in patience until Allah doth decide between us: for He is the best to decide.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:89

قَدِ ٱفْتَرَيْنَا عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ كَذِبًا إِنْ عُدْنَا فِى مِلَّتِكُم بَعْدَ إِذْ نَجَّىٰنَا ٱللَّـهُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَكُونُ لَنَآ أَن نَّعُودَ فِيهَآ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ رَبُّنَا وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا ٱفْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰتِحِينَ

qadi iftaraynā ʿalā allāhi kadhiban in ʿudnā fī millatikum baʿda idh najjanā allāhu minhā wa-mā yakūnu lanā an naʿūda fīhā illā an yashāʾa allāhu rabbunā wasiʿa rabbunā kulla shayʾin ʿilman ʿalā allāhi tawakkalnā rabbanā iftaḥ baynanā wa-bayna qawminā bil-ḥaqqi wa-anta khayru l-fātiḥīna

"We should indeed invent a lie against Allah, if we returned to your ways after Allah hath rescued us therefrom; nor could we by any manner of means return thereto unless it be as in the will and plan of Allah, Our Lord. Our Lord can reach out to the utmost recesses of things by His knowledge. In the Allah is our trust. our Lord! decide Thou between us and our people in truth, for Thou art the best to decide."

Sura Yūnus 10:29

فَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّـهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَ

fa-kafā billāhi shahīdan baynanā wa-baynakum in kunnā ʿan ʿibādatikum la-ghāfilīna

"Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"

Sura al-Kahf 18:94

قَالُوا۟ يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا

qālū yādhā l-qarnayni inna yaʾjūja wa-maʾjūja mufsidūna fī l-arḍi fa-hal najʿalu la-ka kharjan ʿala an tajʿala baynanā wa-baynahum saddan

They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (People) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them?

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:58

فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ فَٱجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُۥ نَحْنُ وَلَآ أَنتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى

fa-la-naʾtiyannaka bi-siḥrin mithlihi fa-ijʿal baynanā wa-baynaka mawʿidan lā nukhlifuhu naḥnu wa-lā anta makānan suwan

"But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep - neither we nor thou - in a place where both shall have even chances."

Sura al-Nūr 24:58

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِيَسْتَـْٔذِنكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا۟ ٱلْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَٰثَ مَرَّٰتٍ مِّن قَبْلِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ صَلَوٰةِ ٱلْعِشَآءِ ثَلَٰثُ عَوْرَٰتٍ لَّكُمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعْدَهُنَّ طَوَّٰفُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَيَٰتِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū li-yastaʾdhinkumu lladhīna malakat aymānukum wa-lladhīna lam yablughū l-ḥuluma minkum thalātha marrātin min qabli ṣalawti l-fajri wa-ḥīna taḍaʿūna thiyābakum mina l-ẓahīrati wa-min baʿdi ṣalawti l-ʿishāi thalāthu ʿawrātin la-kum laysa ʿalaykum wa-lā ʿalayhim junāḥun baʿdahunna ṭawwāfūna ʿalaykum baʿḍukum ʿalā baʿḍin ka-dhālika yubayyinu allāhu lakumu l-ayāti wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun

O ye who believe! let those whom your right hands possess, and the (children) among you who have not come of age ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions: before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noonday heat; and after the late-night prayer: these are your three times of undress: outside those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

Sura Sabaʾ 34:26

قُلْ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا رَبُّنَا ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ بَيْنَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُوَ ٱلْفَتَّاحُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

qul yajmaʿu baynanā rabbunā thumma yaftaḥu baynanā bil-ḥaqqi wa-huwa l-fattāḥu l-ʿalīmu

Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and will in the end decide the matter between us (and you) in truth and justice: and He is the one to decide, the One Who knows all."

Sura Ṣād 38:8

أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن ذِكْرِى بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ

a-unzila ʿalayhi l-dhikru min bayninā bal hum fī shakkin min dhikrī bal llammā yadhūqū ʿadhābi

"What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"...but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment!

Sura Ṣād 38:22

إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ خَصْمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعْضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَٱهْدِنَآ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ

idh dakhalū ʿalā dāwuda fa-faziʿa minhum qālū lā takhaf khaṣmāni baghā baʿḍunā ʿalā baʿḍin fa-iḥkum baynanā bil-ḥaqqi wa-lā tushṭiṭ wa-ihdinā ilā sawāʾi l-ṣirāṭi

When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path..

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:5

وَقَالُوا۟ قُلُوبُنَا فِىٓ أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِنۢ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَٱعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَٰمِلُونَ

wa-qālū qulūbunā fī akinnatin mimmā tadʿūnā ilayhi wa-fī ādhāninā waqrun wa-min bayninā wa-baynika ḥijābun fa-iʿmal innanā ʿāmilūna

They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)"

Sura al-Shūrā 42:15

فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَٱدْعُ وَٱسْتَقِمْ كَمَآ أُمِرْتَ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَقُلْ ءَامَنتُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّـهُ مِن كِتَٰبٍ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

fa-li-dhālika fa-idʿu wa-istaqim ka-mā umirta wa-lā tattabiʿ ahwāʾahum wa-qul āmantu bimā anzala allāhu min kitābin wa-umirtu li-aʿdila baynakumu allāhu rabbunā wa-rabbukum lanā aʿmālunā wa-lakum aʿmālukum lā ḥujjata baynanā wa-baynakumu allāhu yajmaʿu baynanā wa-ilayhi l-maṣīru

Now then, for that (reason), call (them to the Faith), and stand steadfast as thou art commanded, nor follow thou their vain desires; but say: "I believe in the Book which Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord: for us (is the responsibility for) our deeds, and for you for your deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (our) Final Goal.

Sura al-Qamar 54:25

أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ

a-ulqiya l-dhikru ʿalayhi min bayninā bal huwa kadhdhābun ashirun

"Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!"

Sura al-Mumtaḥanah 60:4

قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَءَٰٓؤُا۟ مِنكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةُ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ وَحْدَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَوْلَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَآ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن شَىْءٍ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

qad kānat la-kum uswatun ḥasanatun fī ibrāhīma wa-lladhīna maʿahu idh qālū liqawmihim innā buraʾāʾu minkum wa-mimmā taʿbudūna min dūni allāhi kafarnā bikum wa-badā baynanā wa-baynakumu l-ʿadāwatu wa-l-baghḍāʾu abadan ḥattā tūʾminū billāhi waḥdahu illā qawla ibrāhīma li-abīhi la-astaghfiranna la-ka wa-mā amliku la-ka mina allāhi min shayʾin rabbanā ʿalayka tawakkalnā wa-ilayka anabnā wa-ilayka l-maṣīru

There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.
