Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)

(4:81)    | وَيَقُولُونَ طَاعَةٌ فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ بَيَّتَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى تَقُولُ وَٱللَّـهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّـهِ وَكِيلًا | wa‑yaqūlūna ṭāʿatun fa‑idhā barazū min ʿindika bayyata ṭāʾifatun minhum ghayra alladhī taqūlu wallāhu yaktubu mā yubayyitūna fa‑aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa‑tawakkal ʿalā allāhi wa‑kafā billāhi wakīlan | They have "Obedience" on their lips; but when they leave thee,
a section of them Meditate all night on things very different from what
thou tellest them. But Allah records their nightly (plots): So keep clear of
them, and put thy trust in Allah, and enough is Allah as a disposer of
affairs.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:81 وَيَقُولُونَ طَاعَةٌ فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا۟ مِنْ عِندِكَ بَيَّتَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى تَقُولُ وَٱللَّـهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّـهِ وَكِيلًا wa-yaqūlūna ṭāʿatun fa-idhā barazū min ʿindika bayyata ṭāʾifatun minhum ghayra alladhī taqūlu wallāhu yaktubu mā yubayyitūna fa-aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa-tawakkal ʿalā allāhi wa-kafā billāhi wakīlan They have "Obedience" on their lips; but when they leave thee, a section of them Meditate all night on things very different from what thou tellest them. | (4:108) | يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا | yastakhfūna mina l‑nāsi wa‑lā yastakhfūna mina allāhi wa‑huwa maʿahum idh yubayyitūna mā lā yarḍā mina l‑qawli wa‑kāna allāhu bi‑mā yaʿmalūna muḥīṭan | They may hide (Their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide
(Them) from Allah, seeing that He is in their midst when they plot by night,
in words that He cannot approve: And Allah Doth compass round all that they
do.
Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:108 يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّـهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا yastakhfūna mina l-nāsi wa-lā yastakhfūna mina allāhi wa-huwa maʿahum idh yubayyitūna mā lā yarḍā mina l-qawli wa-kāna allāhu bi-mā yaʿmalūna muḥīṭan They may hide (Their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (Them) from Allah, seeing that He is in their midst when they plot by night, in words that He cannot approve: And Allah Doth compass round all that they do. |
Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion) | (25:64) | وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَٰمًا | wa‑lladhīna yabītūna li‑rabbihim sujjadan wa‑qiyāman | Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate
and standing;
Sura al-Furqān 25:64 وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَٰمًا wa-lladhīna yabītūna li-rabbihim sujjadan wa-qiyāman Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; |
Surah 27 al-Naml (The Ant) | (27:49) | قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ | qālū taqāsamū billāhi la‑nubayyitannahu wa‑ahlahu thumma lanaqūlanna li‑waliyyihi mā shahidnā mahlika ahlihi wa‑innā la‑ṣādiqūna | They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a
secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to
his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter
of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'"
Sura al-Naml 27:49 قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ qālū taqāsamū billāhi la-nubayyitannahu wa-ahlahu thumma lanaqūlanna li-waliyyihi mā shahidnā mahlika ahlihi wa-innā la-ṣādiqūna They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'" |
