(12:47) | قَالَ تَزْرَعُونَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ دَأَبًا فَمَا حَصَدتُّمْ فَذَرُوهُ فِى سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ | qalā tazraʿūna sabʿa sinīna daʾaban fa‑mā ḥaṣadttum fa‑dharūhu fī sunbulihi illā qalīlan mimmā taʾkulūna | (Joseph) said: "For seven years shall ye diligently sow as is
your wont: and the harvests that ye reap, ye shall leave them in the ear,-
except a little, of which ye shall eat.
Sura Yūsuf 12:47 قَالَ تَزْرَعُونَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ دَأَبًا فَمَا حَصَدتُّمْ فَذَرُوهُ فِى سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ qalā tazraʿūna sabʿa sinīna daʾaban fa-mā ḥaṣadttum fa-dharūhu fī sunbulihi illā qalīlan mimmā taʾkulūna (Joseph) said: "For seven years shall ye diligently sow as is your wont: and the harvests that ye reap, ye shall leave them in the ear,- except a little, of which ye shall eat. |
(14:33) | وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيْنِ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ | wa‑sakhkhara lakumu l‑shamsa wa‑l‑qamara dāʾibayni wa‑sakhkhara lakumu l‑layla wa‑l‑nahāra | And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both
diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also)
made subject to you.
Sura Ibrāhīm 14:33 وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيْنِ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ wa-sakhkhara lakumu l-shamsa wa-l-qamara dāʾibayni wa-sakhkhara lakumu l-layla wa-l-nahāra And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you. |
(40:31) | مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا ٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ | mithla dabi qawmi nūḥin wa‑ʿādin wa‑thamūda wa‑lladhīna min baʿdihim wa‑mā allāhu yurīdu ẓulman lil‑ʿibādi | "Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and
the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice
to his Servants.
Sura al-Ghāfir 40:31 مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا ٱللَّـهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ mithla dabi qawmi nūḥin wa-ʿādin wa-thamūda wa-lladhīna min baʿdihim wa-mā allāhu yurīdu ẓulman lil-ʿibādi "Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice to his Servants. |
