Sura al-Tawbah 9:8

كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا۟ فِيكُمْ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

kayfa wa-in yaẓharū ʿalaykum lā yarqubū fīkum illan wa-lā dhimmatan yurḍūnakum bi-afwāhihim wa-taba qulūbuhum wa-aktharuhum fāsiqūna

How (can there be such a league), seeing that if they get an advantage over you, they respect not in you the ties either of kinship or of covenant? With (fair words from) their mouths they entice you, but their hearts are averse from you; and most of them are rebellious and wicked.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:10

لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُعْتَدُونَ

lā yarqubūna fī muminin illan wa-lā dhimmatan wa-ūlāʾika humu l-muʿtadūna

In a Believer they respect not the ties either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who have transgressed all bounds.

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:18

مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُۥ فِيهَا مَا نَشَآءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَىٰهَا مَذْمُومًا مَّدْحُورًا

man kāna yurīdu l-ʿājilata ʿajjalnā lahu fīhā mā nashāʾu li-man nnurīdu thumma jaʿalnā lahu jahannama yaṣlāhā madhmūman madḥūran

If any do wish for the transitory things (of this life), We readily grant them - such things as We will, to such person as We will: in the end have We provided Hell for them: they will burn therein, disgraced and rejected.

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:22

لَّا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّـهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَّخْذُولًا

lā tajʿal maʿa allāhi ilāhan ākhara fa-taqʿuda madhmūman makhdhūlan

Take not with Allah another object of worship; or thou (O man!) wilt sit in disgrace and destitution.

Sura al-Qalam 68:49

لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌ

lawlā an tadārakahu niʿmatun min rabbihi la-nubidha bil-ʿarāʾi wa-huwa madhmūmun

Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace.
