(16:116) | وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَٰلٌ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفْتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ | wa‑lā taqūlū li‑mā taṣifu alsinatukumu l‑kadhiba hādhā ḥalālun wa‑hādhā ḥarāmun li‑taftarū ʿalā allāhi l‑kadhiba inna lladhīna yaftarūna ʿalā allāhi l‑kadhiba lā yufliḥūna | But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put
forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false
things to Allah. For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never
prosper.

(17:73) | وَإِن كَادُوا۟ لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِىَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُۥ وَإِذًا لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلًا | wa‑in kādū la‑yaftinūnaka ʿani alladhī awḥaynā ilayka li‑taftariya ʿalaynā ghayrahu waidhan la‑ittakhadhūka khalīlan | And their purpose was to tempt thee away from that which We
had revealed unto thee, to substitute in our name something quite
different; (in that case), behold! they would certainly have made thee
(their) friend!
