Sura al-Faṭīr 35:25

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ وَبِٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُنِيرِ

wa-in yukadhdhibūka fa-qad kadhdhaba lladhīna min qablihim jāʾathum rusuluhum bil-bayyināti wa-bil-zuburi wa-bil-kitābi l-munīri

And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, Books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:37

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُم مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَآءَكُمُ ٱلنَّذِيرُ فَذُوقُوا۟ فَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ

wa-hum yaṣṭarikhūna fīhā rabbanā akhrijnā naʿmal ṣāliḥan ghayra alladhī kunnā naʿmalu a-wa-lam nuʿammirkum mā yatadhakkaru fīhi man tadhakkara wa-jāʾakumu l-nadhīru fa-dhūqū fa-mā lil-ẓālimīna min nnaṣīrin

Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper."

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:42

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْ إِحْدَى ٱلْأُمَمِ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا

wa-aqsamū billāhi jahda aymānihim lain jāʾahum nadhīrun la-yakūnunna ahdā min iḥda l-umami fa-lammā jāʾahum nadhīrun mā zādahum illā nufūran

They swore their strongest oaths by Allah that if a warner came to them, they would follow his guidance better than any (other) of the Peoples: But when a warner came to them, it has only increased their flight (from righteousness),-

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:45

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِيرًۢا

wa-law yuākhidhu allāhu l-nāsa bi-mā kasabū mā taraka ʿalā ẓahrihā min dābbatin wa-lākin yuʾakhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman fa-idhā jāa ajaluhum fa-inna allāha kāna bi-ʿabādihi baṣīran

If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily Allah has in His sight all His Servants.
