Surah 15 al-Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract)

ذَرْهُمْ  يَأْكُلُوا۟  وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟  وَيُلْهِهِمُ  ٱلْأَمَلُ  فَسَوْفَ  يَعْلَمُونَ dharhum yakulū wa‑yatamattaʿū wa‑yulhihimu l‑amalu fa‑sawfa yaʿlamūna
Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:37)

رِجَالٌ  لَّا  تُلْهِيهِمْ  تِجَٰرَةٌ  وَلَا  بَيْعٌ  عَن  ذِكْرِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَإِقَامِ  ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ  وَإِيتَآءِ  ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ  يَخَافُونَ  يَوْمًا  تَتَقَلَّبُ  فِيهِ  ٱلْقُلُوبُ  وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ rijālun tulhīhim tijāratun wa‑lā bayʿun ʿan dhikri allāhi wa‑iqāmi l‑ṣalawti wa‑ītāʾi l‑zakawti yakhāfūna yawman tataqallabu fīhi l‑qulūbu wa‑l‑abṣāru
By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new),-

Surah 63 al-Munāfiqūn (The Hypocrites)
(63:9)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تُلْهِكُمْ  أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ  وَلَآ  أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ  عَن  ذِكْرِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَمَن  يَفْعَلْ  ذَٰلِكَ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  هُمُ  ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tulhikum amwālukum wa‑lā awlādukum ʿan dhikri allāhi wa‑man yafʿal dhālika fa‑ūlāʾika humu l‑khāsirūna
O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act thus, the loss is their own.

Surah 80 al-ʿAbasa (He Frowned)
(80:10)

فَأَنتَ  عَنْهُ  تَلَهَّىٰ fa‑anta ʿanhu talahhā
Of him wast thou unmindful.

Surah 102 al-Takāthur (Worldly Gain)
(102:1)

أَلْهَىٰكُمُ  ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ alhākumu l‑takāthuru
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
