Sura Yūsuf 12:10

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ يُوسُفَ وَأَلْقُوهُ فِى غَيَٰبَتِ ٱلْجُبِّ يَلْتَقِطْهُ بَعْضُ ٱلسَّيَّارَةِ إِن كُنتُمْ فَٰعِلِينَ

qalā qāʾilun minhum lā taqtulū yūsufa wa-alqūhu fī ghayābati l-jubbi yaltaqiṭhu baʿḍu l-sayyārati in kuntum fāʿilīna

Said one of them: "Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travellers."
