Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(9:101)

وَمِمَّنْ  حَوْلَكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَعْرَابِ  مُنَٰفِقُونَ  وَمِنْ  أَهْلِ  ٱلْمَدِينَةِ  مَرَدُوا۟  عَلَى  ٱلنِّفَاقِ  لَا  تَعْلَمُهُمْ  نَحْنُ  نَعْلَمُهُمْ  سَنُعَذِّبُهُم  مَّرَّتَيْنِ  ثُمَّ  يُرَدُّونَ  إِلَىٰ  عَذَابٍ  عَظِيمٍ wa‑mimman ḥawlakum mina l‑aʿrābi munāfiqūna wa‑min ahli l‑madīnati maradū ʿalā l‑nifāqi taʿlamuhum naḥnu naʿlamuhum sa‑nuʿadhdhibuhum marratayni thumma yuraddūna ilā ʿadhābin ʿaẓīmin
Certain of the desert Arabs round about you are hypocrites, as well as (desert Arabs) among the Medina folk: they are obstinate in hypocrisy: thou knowest them not: We know them: twice shall We punish them: and in addition shall they be sent to a grievous penalty.
(9:120)

مَا  كَانَ  لِأَهْلِ  ٱلْمَدِينَةِ  وَمَنْ  حَوْلَهُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَعْرَابِ  أَن  يَتَخَلَّفُوا۟  عَن  رَّسُولِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلَا  يَرْغَبُوا۟  بِأَنفُسِهِمْ  عَن  نَّفْسِهِۦ  ذَٰلِكَ  بِأَنَّهُمْ  لَا  يُصِيبُهُمْ  ظَمَأٌ  وَلَا  نَصَبٌ  وَلَا  مَخْمَصَةٌ  فِى  سَبِيلِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلَا  يَطَـُٔونَ  مَوْطِئًا  يَغِيظُ  ٱلْكُفَّارَ  وَلَا  يَنَالُونَ  مِنْ  عَدُوٍّ  نَّيْلًا  إِلَّا  كُتِبَ  لَهُم  بِهِۦ  عَمَلٌ  صَٰلِحٌ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  لَا  يُضِيعُ  أَجْرَ  ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ kāna li‑ahli l‑madīnati wa‑man ḥawlahum mina l‑aʿrābi an yatakhallafū ʿan rrasūli allāhi wa‑lā yarghabū bi‑anfusihim ʿan nafsihi dhālika bi‑annahum yuṣībuhum ẓamaʾun wa‑lā naṣabun wa‑lā makhmaṣatun sabīli allāhi wa‑lā yaṭaʾūna mawṭian yaghīẓu l‑kuffāra wa‑lā yanālūna min ʿadūwin naylan illā kutiba lahum bihi ʿamalun ṣāliḥun inna allāha yuḍīʿu ajra l‑muḥsinīna
It was not fitting for the people of Medina and the Bedouin Arabs of the neighbourhood, to refuse to follow Allah's Messenger, nor to prefer their own lives to his: because nothing could they suffer or do, but was reckoned to their credit as a deed of righteousness,- whether they suffered thirst, or fatigue, or hunger, in the cause of Allah, or trod paths to raise the ire of the Unbelievers, or received any injury whatever from an enemy: for Allah suffereth not the reward to be lost of those who do good;-

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:60)

Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time:

Surah 63 al-Munāfiqūn (The Hypocrites)
(63:8)

يَقُولُونَ  لَئِن  رَّجَعْنَآ  إِلَى  ٱلْمَدِينَةِ  لَيُخْرِجَنَّ  ٱلْأَعَزُّ  مِنْهَا  ٱلْأَذَلَّ  وَلِلَّەِ  ٱلْعِزَّةُ  وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ  وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  وَلَٰكِنَّ  ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ  لَا  يَعْلَمُونَ yaqūlūna lain rajaʿnā ilā l‑madīnati la‑yukhrijanna l‑aʿazzu minhā l‑adhalla wa‑lillahi l‑ʿizzatu wa‑li‑rasūlihi wa‑lil‑muʾminīna wa‑lākinna l‑munāfiqīna yaʿlamūna
They say, "If we return to Medina, surely the more honourable (element) will expel therefrom the meaner." But honour belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not.
