Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:13

وَكُلَّ إِنسَٰنٍ أَلْزَمْنَٰهُ طَٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِى عُنُقِهِۦ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ كِتَٰبًا يَلْقَىٰهُ مَنشُورًا

wa-kulla insānin alzamnāhu ṭāʾirahu fī ʿunuqihi wa-nukhriju lahu yawma l-qiyāmati kitāban yalqahu manshūran

Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck: On the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spread open.

Sura al-Kahf 18:16

وَإِذِ ٱعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّـهَ فَأْوُۥٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُم مِّنْ أَمْرِكُم مِّرْفَقًا

wa-idhi iʿtazaltumūhum wa-mā yaʿbudūna illā allāha fawu ilā l-kahfi yanshur la-kum rabbukum min rraḥmatihi wa-yuhayyiʾ la-kum min amrikum mirfaqan

"When ye turn away from them and the things they worship other than Allah, betake yourselves to the Cave: Your Lord will shower His mercies on you and disposes of your affair towards comfort and ease."

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:21

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ

ami ittakhadhū ālihatan mina l-arḍi hum yunshirūna

Or have they taken (for worship) gods from the earth who can raise (the dead)?

Sura al-Furqān 25:3

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَوٰةً وَلَا نُشُورًا

wa-ittakhadhū min dūnihi ālihatan lā yakhluqūna shayʾan wa-hum yukhlaqūna wa-lā yamlikūna li-anfusihim ḍarran wa-lā nafʿan wa-lā yamlikūna mawtan wa-lā ḥayātan wa-lā nushūran

Yet have they taken, besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection.

Sura al-Furqān 25:40

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا

wa-la-qad ātaw ʿalā l-qaryati allatī umṭirat maṭara l-sawʾi a-fa-lam yakūnū yarawnahā bal kānū lā yarjūna nushūran

And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.

Sura al-Furqān 25:47

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًا

wa-huwa alladhī jaʿala lakumu l-layla libāsan wa-l-nawma subātan wa-jaʿala l-nahāra nushūran

And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection.

Sura al-Rūm 30:20

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ

wa-min āyātihi an khalaqakum min turābin thumma idhā antum basharun tantashirūna

Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!

Sura al-Aḥzāb 33:53

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلَىٰ طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَٰظِرِينَ إِنَىٰهُ وَلَٰكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَٱدْخُلُوا۟ فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ وَلَا مُسْتَـْٔنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى ٱلنَّبِىَّ فَيَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنكُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَٰعًا فَسْـَٔلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا۟ رَسُولَ ٱللَّـهِ وَلَآ أَن تَنكِحُوٓا۟ أَزْوَٰجَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ عَظِيمًا

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tadkhulū buyūta l-nabiyyi illā an yudhana la-kum ilā ṭaʿāmin ghayra nāẓirīna inahu wa-lākin idhā duʿītum fa-idkhulū fa-idhā ṭaʿimtum fa-intashirū wa-lā mustaʾnisīna li-ḥadīthin inna dhālikum kāna yuʾdhī l-nabiyya fa-yastaḥyi minkum wallāhu lā yastaḥyi mina l-ḥaqqi wa-idhā saʾaltumūhunna matāʿan fa-sʾalūhunna min warāʾi ḥijābin dhālikum aṭharu li-qulūbikum wa-qulūbihinna wa-mā kāna la-kum an tuʾdhū rasūla allāhi wa-lā an tankiḥū azwājahu min baʿdihi abadan inna dhālikum kāna ʿinda allāhi ʿaẓīman

O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:9

وَٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ

wallāhu alladhī arsala l-riyāḥa fa-tuthīru saḥāban fa-suqnāhu ilā baladin mayyitin fa-aḥyaynā bihi l-arḍa baʿda mawtihā ka-dhālika l-nushūru

It is Allah Who sends forth the Winds, so that they raise up the Clouds, and We drive them to a land that is dead, and revive the earth therewith after its death: even so (will be) the Resurrection!

Sura al-Shūrā 42:28

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُنَزِّلُ ٱلْغَيْثَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوا۟ وَيَنشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُۥ وَهُوَ ٱلْوَلِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

wa-huwa alladhī yunazzilu l-ghaytha min baʿdi mā qanaṭū wa-yanshuru raḥmatahu wa-huwa l-waliyyu l-ḥamīdu

He is the One that sends down rain (even) after (men) have given up all hope, and scatters His Mercy (far and wide). And He is the Protector, Worthy of all Praise.

Sura al-Zukhruf 43:11

وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ

wa-lladhī nazzala mina l-samāʾi māʾan bi-qadarin fa-ansharnā bihi baldatan maytan ka-dhālika tukhrajūna

That sends down (from time to time) rain from the sky in due measure;- and We raise to life therewith a land that is dead; even so will ye be raised (from the dead);-

Sura al-Dukhān 44:35

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ

in hiya illā mawtatunā l-ūlā wa-mā naḥnu bi-munsharīna

"There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again.

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:3

فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ

fī raqqin manshūrin

In a Scroll unfolded;

Sura al-Qamar 54:7

خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُّنتَشِرٌ

khushshaʿan abṣāruhum yakhrujūna mina l-ajdāthi ka-annahum jarādun muntashirun

They will come forth,- their eyes humbled - from (their) graves, (torpid) like locusts scattered abroad,

Sura al-Jumuʿah 62:10

فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

fa-idhā quḍiyati l-ṣalawtu fa-intashirū fī l-arḍi wa-ibtaghū min faḍli allāhi wa-idhkurū allāha kathīran la-ʿallakum tufliḥūna

And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.

Sura al-Mulk 67:15

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًا فَٱمْشُوا۟ فِى مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا۟ مِن رِّزْقِهِۦ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ

huwa alladhī jaʿala lakumu l-arḍa dhalūlan fa-imshū fī manākibihā wa-kulū min rrizqihi wa-ilayhi l-nushūru

It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.

Sura al-Muddaththir 74:52

بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً

bal yurīdu kullu imriʾin minhum an yuʾtā ṣuḥufan munashsharatan

Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out!

Sura al-Mursalāt 77:3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا

wa-l-nāshirāti nashran

And scatter (things) far and wide;

Sura al-ʿAbasa 80:22

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ

thumma idhā shāʾa ansharahu

Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).

Sura al-Takwīr 81:10

وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

wa-idhā l-ṣuḥufu nushirat

When the scrolls are laid open;
