(52:26) | قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ | qālū innā kunnā qablu fī ahlinā mushfiqīna | They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the
sake of our people.
Sura al-Ṭūr 52:26 قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ qālū innā kunnā qablu fī ahlinā mushfiqīna They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people. |
(52:30) | أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ | am yaqūlūna shāʿirun natarabbaṣu bihi rayba l‑manūni | Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity
(hatched) by Time!"
Sura al-Ṭūr 52:30 أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ am yaqūlūna shāʿirun natarabbaṣu bihi rayba l-manūni Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" |
(52:31) | قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ | qul tarabbaṣū fa‑innī maʿakum mina l‑mutarabbiṣīna | Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!"
Sura al-Ṭūr 52:31 قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ qul tarabbaṣū fa-innī maʿakum mina l-mutarabbiṣīna Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" |
(52:33) | أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ | am yaqūlūna taqawwalahu bal lā yuʾminūna | Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have
no faith!
Sura al-Ṭūr 52:33 أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ am yaqūlūna taqawwalahu bal lā yuʾminūna Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! |
(52:44) | وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ | wa‑in yaraw kisfan mina l‑samāʾi sāqiṭan yaqūlū saḥābun markūmun | Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they
would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"
Sura al-Ṭūr 52:44 وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ wa-in yaraw kisfan mina l-samāʾi sāqiṭan yaqūlū saḥābun markūmun Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" |
