Surah 26 al-Shuʿarā (The Poets)

(26:29)    | قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ | qalā laʾini ittakhadhta ilāhan ghayrī la‑ajʿalannaka mina l‑masjūnīna | (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than
me, I will certainly put thee in prison!"
Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:29 قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ qalā laʾini ittakhadhta ilāhan ghayrī la-ajʿalannaka mina l-masjūnīna (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" |
Surah 83 al-Muṭaffifīn (The Defrauders) | (83:7) | كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ | kallā inna kitāba l‑fujjāri la‑fī sijjīnin | Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in
Sijjin.
Sura al-Muṭaffifīn 83:7 كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ kallā inna kitāba l-fujjāri la-fī sijjīnin Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin. |
| (83:8) | وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ | wa‑mā adrāka mā sijjīnun | And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?
