Sura Yūnus 10:22

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا جَآءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

huwa alladhī yusayyirukum fī l-barri wa-l-baḥri ḥatta idhā kuntum fī l-fulki wa-jarayna bihim birīḥin ṭayyibatin wa-fariḥū bihā jāathā rīḥun ʿāṣifun wa-jāʾahumu l-mawju min kulli makānin wa-ẓannū annahum uḥīṭa bihim daʿawu allāha mukhliṣīna lahu l-dīna lain anjaytanā min hādhihi la-nakūnanna mina l-shākirīna

He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships;- they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!"

Sura Yūsuf 12:109

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَدَارُ ٱلْأَخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

wa-mā arsalnā min qablika illā rijālan nnūḥī ilayhim min ahli al-qura a-fa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim wa-ladāru l-akhirati khayrun li-lladhīna ittaqaw a-fa-lā taʿqilūna

Nor did We send before thee (as messengers) any but men, whom we did inspire,- (men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand?

Sura al-Raʿd 13:31

وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْءَانًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ ٱلْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بَل لِلَّـهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا أَفَلَمْ يَا۟يْـَٔسِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّـهُ لَهَدَى ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُوا۟ قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًا مِّن دَارِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ وَعْدُ ٱللَّـهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

wa-law annā qurʾānan suyyirat bihi l-jibālu aw quṭṭiʿaṭ bihi l-arḍu aw kullima bihi l-mawtā bal lillāhi l-amru jamīʿan a-fa-lam yāyʾasi lladhīna āmanū an law yashāʾu allāhu la-hadā l-nāsa jamīʿan wa-lā yazālu lladhīna kafarū tuṣībuhum bi-mā ṣanaʿū qāriʿatun aw taḥullu qarīban min dārihim ḥattā yaʾtiya waʿdu allāhi inna allāha lā yukhlifu l-mīʿāda

If there were a Qur'an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things! Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:46

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَلَٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

a-fa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-takūna lahum qulūbun yaʿqilūna bihā aw ādhānun yasmaʿūna bihā fainnahā lā taʿma l-abṣāru wa-lākin taʿma l-qulūbu allatī fī l-ṣudūri

Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:29

فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلْأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِۦٓ ءَانَسَ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ نَارًا قَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ

fa-lammā qaḍa mūsā l-ajala wa-sāra biahlihi ānasa min jānibi l-ṭūri nāran qalā li-ahlihi imkuthū innī ānastu nāran laʿallī ātīkum minhā bi-khabarin aw jadhwatin mina l-nāri la-ʿallakum taṣṭalūna

Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."

Sura al-Rūm 30:9

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّـهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

a-wa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim kānū ashadda minhum quwwatan wa-athārū l-arḍa wa-ʿamarūhā akthara mimmā ʿamarūhā wa-jāathum rusuluhum bil-bayyināti fa-mā kāna allāhu li-yaẓlimahum wa-lākin kānū anfusahum yaẓlimūna

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:44

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّـهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا

a-wa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim wa-kānū ashadda minhum quwwatan wa-mā kāna allāhu li-yuʿjizahu min shayʾin fī l-samāwāti wa-lā fī l-arḍi innahu kāna ʿalīman qadīran

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them,- though they were superior to them in strength? Nor is Allah to be frustrated by anything whatever in the heavens or on earth: for He is All-Knowing. All-Powerful.

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:21

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَءَاثَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّـهِ مِن وَاقٍ

a-wa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna kānū min qablihim kānū hum ashadda minhum quwwatan wa-āthāran fī l-arḍi fa-akhadhahumu allāhu bi-dhunūbihim wa-mā kāna lahum mina allāhi min wāqin

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were even superior to them in strength, and in the traces (they have left) in the land: but Allah did call them to account for their sins, and none had they to defend them against Allah.

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:82

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَءَاثَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَمَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

a-fa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim kānū akthara minhum wa-ashadda quwwatan wa-āthāran fī l-arḍi fa-mā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yaksibūna

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them.

Sura Muḥammad 47:10

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْثَٰلُهَا

a-fa-lam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu lladhīna min qablihim dammara allāhu ʿalayhim wa-lil-kāfirīna amthāluhā

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah.

Sura al-Ṭūr 52:10

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا

wa-tasīru l-jibālu sayran

And the mountains will fly hither and thither.

Sura al-Nabaʾ 78:20

وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا

wa-suyyirati l-jibālu fa-kānat sarāban

And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.

Sura al-Takwīr 81:3

وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ

wa-idhā l-jibālu suyyirat

When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);
