Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)

(3:173)

ٱلَّذِينَ  قَالَ  لَهُمُ  ٱلنَّاسُ  إِنَّ  ٱلنَّاسَ  قَدْ  جَمَعُوا۟  لَكُمْ  فَٱخْشَوْهُمْ  فَزَادَهُمْ  إِيمَٰنًا  وَقَالُوا۟  حَسْبُنَا  ٱللَّـهُ  وَنِعْمَ  ٱلْوَكِيلُ lladhīna qalā lahumu l‑nāsu inna l‑nāsa qad jamaʿū la‑kum fa‑ikhshawhum fa‑zādahum īmānan wa‑qālū ḥasbunā allāhu waniʿma l‑wakīlu
Men said to them: "A great army is gathering against you": And frightened them: But it (only) increased their Faith: They said: "For us Allah sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs."

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:102)

ذَٰلِكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  رَبُّكُمْ  لَآ  إِلَٰهَ  إِلَّا  هُوَ  خَٰلِقُ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  فَٱعْبُدُوهُ  وَهُوَ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَكِيلٌ dhālikumu allāhu rabbukum ilāha illā huwa khāliqu kulli shayʾin fa‑iʿbudūhu wa‑huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin wakīlun
That is Allah, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs.

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:12)

فَلَعَلَّكَ  تَارِكٌۢ  بَعْضَ  مَا  يُوحَىٰٓ  إِلَيْكَ  وَضَآئِقٌۢ  بِهِۦ  صَدْرُكَ  أَن  يَقُولُوا۟  لَوْلَآ  أُنزِلَ  عَلَيْهِ  كَنزٌ  أَوْ  جَآءَ  مَعَهُۥ  مَلَكٌ  إِنَّمَآ  أَنتَ  نَذِيرٌ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَكِيلٌ fa‑laʿallaka tārikun baʿḍa yūḥā ilayka wa‑ḍāʾiqun bihi ṣadruka an yaqūlū lawlā unzila ʿalayhi kanzun aw jāa maʿahu malakun innamā anta nadhīrun wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin wakīlun
Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straightened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs!

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:66)

قَالَ  لَنْ  أُرْسِلَهُۥ  مَعَكُمْ  حَتَّىٰ  تُؤْتُونِ  مَوْثِقًا  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  لَتَأْتُنَّنِى  بِهِۦٓ  إِلَّآ  أَن  يُحَاطَ  بِكُمْ  فَلَمَّآ  ءَاتَوْهُ  مَوْثِقَهُمْ  قَالَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  مَا  نَقُولُ  وَكِيلٌ qalā lan ursilahu maʿakum ḥattā tuʾtūni mawthiqan mina allāhi la‑taʾtunnanī bihi illā an yuḥāṭa bikum fa‑lammā ātawhu mawthiqahum qalā allāhu ʿalā naqūlu wakīlun
(Jacob) said: "Never will I send him with you until ye swear a solemn oath to me, in Allah's name, that ye will be sure to bring him back to me unless ye are yourselves hemmed in (and made powerless). And when they had sworn their solemn oath, he said: "Over all that we say, be Allah the witness and guardian!"
(12:67)

وَقَالَ  يَٰبَنِىَّ  لَا  تَدْخُلُوا۟  مِنۢ  بَابٍ  وَٰحِدٍ  وَٱدْخُلُوا۟  مِنْ  أَبْوَٰبٍ  مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ  وَمَآ  أُغْنِى  عَنكُم  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  إِنِ  ٱلْحُكْمُ  إِلَّا  لِلَّـهِ  عَلَيْهِ  تَوَكَّلْتُ  وَعَلَيْهِ  فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ  ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ wa‑qāla yā‑baniyya tadkhulū min bābin wāḥidin wa‑adkhulū min abwābin mutafarriqatin wa‑mā ughnī ʿankum mina allāhi min shayʾin ini l‑ḥukmu illā lillāhi ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa‑ʿalayhi fa‑l‑yatawakkali l‑mutawakkilūna
Further he said: "O my sons! enter not all by one gate: enter ye by different gates. Not that I can profit you aught against Allah (with my advice): None can command except Allah: On Him do I put my trust: and let all that trust put their trust on Him."

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:12)

وَمَا  لَنَآ  أَلَّا  نَتَوَكَّلَ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَقَدْ  هَدَىٰنَا  سُبُلَنَا  وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ  عَلَىٰ  مَآ  ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا  وَعَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ  ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ wa‑mā lanā allā natawakkala ʿalā allāhi wa‑qad hadanā subulanā wa‑la‑naṣbiranna ʿalā ādhaytumūnā wa‑ʿala allāhi fa‑l‑yatawakkali l‑mutawakkilūna
"No reason have we why we should not put our trust on Allah. Indeed He Has guided us to the Ways we (follow). We shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us. For those who put their trust should put their trust on Allah."

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:28)

قَالَ  ذَٰلِكَ  بَيْنِى  وَبَيْنَكَ  أَيَّمَا  ٱلْأَجَلَيْنِ  قَضَيْتُ  فَلَا  عُدْوَٰنَ  عَلَىَّ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  مَا  نَقُولُ  وَكِيلٌ qalā dhālika baynī wa‑baynaka ayyamā l‑ajalayni qaḍaytu fa‑lā ʿudwāna ʿalayya wallāhu ʿalā naqūlu wakīlun
He said: "Be that (the agreement) between me and thee: whichever of the two terms I fulfil, let there be no ill-will to me. Be Allah a witness to what we say."

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:38)

وَلَئِن  سَأَلْتَهُم  مَّنْ  خَلَقَ  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَٱلْأَرْضَ  لَيَقُولُنَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  قُلْ  أَفَرَءَيْتُم  مَّا  تَدْعُونَ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِنْ  أَرَادَنِىَ  ٱللَّـهُ  بِضُرٍّ  هَلْ  هُنَّ  كَٰشِفَٰتُ  ضُرِّهِۦٓ  أَوْ  أَرَادَنِى  بِرَحْمَةٍ  هَلْ  هُنَّ  مُمْسِكَٰتُ  رَحْمَتِهِۦ  قُلْ  حَسْبِىَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَيْهِ  يَتَوَكَّلُ  ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ wa‑laʾin saʾaltahum man khalaqa l‑samāwāti wa‑l‑arḍa la‑yaqūlunna allāhu qul a‑fa‑raʾaytum tadʿūna min dūni allāhi in arādaniya allāhu bi‑ḍurrin hal hunna kāshifātu ḍurrihi aw arādanī bi‑raḥmaṭin hal hunna mumsikātu raḥmatihi qul ḥasbiya allāhu ʿalayhi yatawakkalu l‑mutawakkilūna
If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."
(39:62)

ٱللَّـهُ  خَٰلِقُ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَهُوَ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَكِيلٌ allāhu khāliqu kulli shayʾin wa‑huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin wakīlun
Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs.
