Sura Ibrāhīm 14:44

وَأَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَخِّرْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍ

wa-andhiri l-nāsa yawma yaʾtīhimu l-ʿadhābu fa-yaqūlu lladhīna ẓalamū rabbanā akhkhirnā ila ajalin qarībin nnujib daʿwataka wa-nattabiʿi l-rusula a-wa-lam takūnū aqsamtum min qablu mā la-kum min zawālin

So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline?
